ionsman:Too petty and typical of APC hangers-on. Full of insults. Address his concerns please and leave his grammar alone. At least you understood what he meant. |
But PMB had not started "presidenting" Nigeria last 2 years.
They said the arrest was as a result of PMB diplomatic foreign missions/visits. |
Let's see nah! |
So unfortunate this govt cannot multi-task. So much immersed in the corruption war that she hardly sees the much taunted insecurity and touted solutions during campaign as urgent. Wetin this govt dey do self? Today you hear they have surrendered, tomorrow you hear they have attacked again. Their bought media keeps under-reporting the advances and attacks of these evil group. Crush these Haramites nah. |

This comment is just annoying and senseless. So, the ones given in favour of APC are true. This APC is blatantly intolerant and thin-skinned. They hardly accept, endure, keep or come to terms with anything that does not go their way or in their favour. If they lose election, the election can never be free, fair and credible. If a court does not rule in their favour, they call it compromised and kangaroo. If you testify against you, they will send state apparatus after you. If you hold a different view from them, they will go and open their arsenal of violence, aggression, intimidation and insults typical of Lai M'Hd, Even in their own intra-party elections cum selections, they hardly accept results. Before election, they will threaten to a parallel government if they lose. They convict people long before they are even tried. They will judge, allege, investigate, prosecute, judge again and sentence. APC would have been the best thing that happened to Nigeria if we were in 1983/4. It's quiet unfortunate this is happening in this era especially when it was one of the alleged sins of the previous administration that got them out office. |

Let them mend fences and work together for a better Nigeria. What holds us together is stronger than what divides us. These external forces instigating the face-off between the arms of govt don't mean well for the masses. We, the masses don't gain anything from these power tussle. |
INTROVERT:Dailypost. See the bottom of the post. |
The occasion of Nigeria’s 55th Independence Anniversary finally provided an opportunity for the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.http://dailypost.ng/2015/10/01/buhari-holds-talks-with-saraki-others-in-aso-rock-after-independence-event/ |
upsyLi:He won't stop at anything to make sure he justifies why the country has been crawling more since he took over. Self defence is just the nature of a failed man. Keep keeping on slowly. We don't have any other option than to be patient and allow the body odour diffuse. |
Technocrats are highly professional entities included in a governing body who have specialised knowledge, expertise or skills in making and driving decisions for solving social problems. They are not elected through political parties and businesspeople and as such are not politicians. 'Technopoliticians' are frustrated or handicapped politicians who have left their special calling of being a technocrats for politics. They flirt with both. When their ambition or interest fails in one, they switch to the other while still retaining the original interest. So, Ngige, Fashola, Fayemi, Onyinlola, Ezekwesili, Onu, Soludo are all technopoliticians, not technocrats. I have seen just few technocrats namely: Iweala, Oteh, Kachikwu, Adesina. |
First, it is Lamido who fails to see nothing wrong in luring a girl-child whose age was rounded up to 18 to reduce public outburst, to marriage that needs to buy a brain. These your long narratives don't change anything except those who share the same belief and sentiments with you. Couldn't you have married someone between the ages of 24-30. How are we supposed to know whether or not the girl-child was forced or not? How long and many people who talked her into giving her consent. The age gap is too much jor! What does the girl-child know about marriage fundamentals? A small girl like that will be combining matrimonial and ceremonial responsibilities with her academics. |
To the masturbators, this is one of the 'numerous achievements' of PMB- staggered to meet a deadline he set for himself to name his ministers. If it is sth to go by, he still failed. He promised to name his cabinet this month, but what we have here is just a 'closed list' sent to SP after official working hours making it seem like it is a herculean task to shop for worthy appointees from over 170million Nigerians. Is this how 'unclean' Nigerians are? |
They have forgotten that this man is corrupt. Tomorrow nah, if he wins and goes against the powerful forces in APC or overrides party supremacy, they will go and bring out or regurgitate his corruption file to pull him down. Now that he is implicitly clean to have won the party's ticket. |
Nairalanddiary:Name calling! Typical of political jobbers, hangers-on and the rather Aggressives who cannot anchor their summissions on facts. Malapropic grammatical exercise you're engaged in is no substitute for facts and realities on ground. |
Nairalanddiary:Did u say huge landmarks? Could you please outline them? Our economy is bleeding profusely, investors are scared of the state of economy, people are losing their jobs on daily basis and real governance abandoned for executive/official terrorism. Apart from the so called body language there is little or nothing to ascribe to this disorientated and convoluted accidental government. |
Nairalanddiary:How do you mean? What's embarrassing in the writing and how does it look like a composition for jsss? Pls do lecture me. I'll appreciate. Thanks! |
The level of brainswash and sheepish followership of APC led federal government by their supporters is worrying and unheard-off in the anals of Nigerian governance. The masses prefer political power tussel and thrilling entertainment of target-driven corruption fight, lies, propaganda and image laundering to the real business of governance. While I don't in any way underestimate the potency of Buhari's body language and the campaign against corruption, there are also other pressing needs like economic policies initiation and implementation, job creation, poverty reduction, security and others. It is our collective responsibility to tell Buhari the truth even though his body language depicts autocracy. Truth be told, Nigeria would have been better off if ministers had been appointed since. Fighting corruption shouldn't in any way stop the activities of other sectors. Fighting corruption with due acknowledgement is fantastic but it shouldn't be the only thing. Nigerians have been so far distracted with fighting corruption and probing mantra even though we all know it is arguably vindictive and witch hunting which does not in any way improve the life of the masses. Let us tell President that his dictatorial proclivities can never be a leading light in a New Nigeria. This is democracy and he should not be impermeable to the democratic yearnings of the people. It is worrying to read notes from people who say they don't care what and how Buhari does to get us to the promise land. But I dare say that any undemocratic means to getting to our promise land is a short cut and a dangerous precedent to our democracy. Our blind support for Buhari to do whatever he likes as long as it moves us forward is very dangerous. Any unconstitional action we praise today will come back to haunt us tomorrow. This is just like sending your son to school and asking him to do whatever he so likes as long as he comes back home with good grades. Using federal might, executive and official terrorism/intimidation and taking unilateral decisions without recourse to the constitution is not the best option. I wonder who tells him that the senate president must be his puppet before he can perform. How can he forget that the elected leaders are responsible to the electorates. No body or group in the NASS has power to sit on or refuse any bills or budgets from the presidency that are people oriented. If they do, they will incure the wrat of the masses. It is only those self-serving politicians that have started scheming for 2019 and powermongers that will instigate unnecessary witch hunts and power tussle to remain relevant in the polity. Then the gullible masses who are at the receiving end will find the distraction entertaining. So unfortunate! Instead of being more interested in why loyal but corrupt party members are currently being shielded, they are busy pursuing vindictive agenda of people whose puppets were democratically refused leadership positions in the NASS. Let's campaign against godfatherism in Nigerian Politics and installation of puppets in government. It is not in the best interest of the masses for this government to have too many irons in the fire. Witch hunting and intimidating perceived political opponents and shouting corruption every time has not done us any good. There are other pressing businesses of governance. APC's political miscalculations and mismanaged victory resulted in Saraki's senate presidency. They Diplomatically live with the mistake while still putting solid structures on ground to avoid future occurrence rather than seeking ways to remove him. No senator in his right senses will support what is happening to Saraki today because they should know that if Saraki does not survive his ordeals and travails, then they are all in a big mess of being manipulated by external forces that removed him(Saraki) and that means they must at all times act according to the dictates of external forces willy nilly. This surely is not good for our strongly emerging democracy and performance-focused, ambitious politicians who may not have the backing of the dictating cabals in advancing their political careers. If these cabals had allowed sleeping dog lie, by now the ripples and polarization in the NASS would have settled. The earlier the tension in NASS is calmed, the smooter the executive governace goes and removing Saraki will further linger it with another scheming and contest for Senate president. As long as there is no significantly dorminant party in the NASS and with divided loyalty of the senators of the majority party, it will be difficult for puppets to be installed. Simply let the NASS be. |
Some people are just envious of this man's political future and calculations. Saraki is an intelligent modern day politician. |
In Nigeria today, if you are an ambitious politician, oppose the power or cabals that be and have different view and stand on national issues, the power bloc will devise a way to rubbish you more notably with corruption allegations. But if you keep mute, play puppet and follow sheepishly, you will enjoy your loots. Recently, I have been following cases of people being accused of corrruption in court or in public dormain, it is either they are in opposition, take a different stand on national issues or they fell out with one powerful entity. How many politicians have been docked or arrained spontaneously? It is only targetted fight against corruption. For instance, if it was not for subtle disaffection between Tinubu and Fashola, we would not have heard that a certain whoping amount was used to build website and build two boreholes. Second, had Saraki heeded to his party's directive and supremacy and Buhari's body language, no one would have seen CCB flexing their muscle on Saraki's alleged false Asset Declaration since 2003. And still, people want us to believ that it is not a witchhunt exercise. CCB that should be yelled at for dereliction of duty since 2003 is now being celebrated because the external forces that have not hiddden their dislike for the leadership of senate. Nigerians should know that Saraki's travails is not in their own interest. It is one of the masterminded permutations to change the leadership of the senate so that their puppets can be installed. This is not good for our democracy. The executive arm's intolerance and despotic dispositions is worrying. Must you have control of the senate before you can carry Nigeria to the dream land. APC are their own problem. Intraparty fighting is all we have seen do since they clinched power. Must you win all your battles. Senate leadershipwas one of the battles you lost and you APC should come to terms with it. The time that would have been devoted to decisive economic direction planning is used in carrying out vindictive agenda. I have not seen a government that is distracting itself like this one. Didn't APC know that Saraki is corrupt when he rode to the senate on the party's platform. The desperation to remove Saraki from office is undermining our democracy. The president makes appointment without sending them to senate for confirmation just because he doesn't like the leadership. Nigeria is gradually sliding to facism. Even freedom of speech is threatened now. People are now afraid of voicing out their views on national issues and governance because of the so called body language. What we hear these days is someone who spoke on condition of anonimity said... Even journalists are even afraid of expressing their own opinion while reporting. The move against Saraki is miscalculated and won't yield the desired result as long as Saraki still has vote of confidence from 2/3 of the Senate. Saraki is this, Saraki is that but he was being praised as a progressive when the rebellious nPDP defected to APC. |
Fayose this, Fayose that, but none is able to put forward a reasonable reply to send him to cleaners if he is dirty. His outburst is very well anchored on facts. He stated the obvious but sheepish followers and hangers-on who can deduce the truth from common sense would rather resort to name-calling. Fayose so far has been the only one who engages APC in fierce issue based politics. His detractors hate him because he is articulate, vocal and assertive. Read through his press statement and counter him, not name-calling. |
Sahara Reporters are a disgrace to professional journalism. What did PDP governors do to SR even the performing ones. It is obvious from the pictures that it was a prayer session when everyone's eyes was closed. He might appear sleeping, but sentiments apart, Wike has outperformed other governors that were sworn in the same time with him so far despite all the distractions at the tribunal. Sahara Reporters aint helping professional journalism in Nigeria. They are really good at finding fake facts to advance their junk, hate, propaganda, unconscientious and unprofessional journalism. Very unfortunate and asinine thing to do. |
The composition of the Government of the Federation or any of its agencies and the conduct of its affairs shall be carried out in such a manner as to reflect the federal character of Nigeria and the need to promote national unity, and also to command national loyalty, thereby ensuring that there shall be no predominance of persons from a few States or from a few ethnic or other sectional groups in that Government or any of its agencies. Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria: section 14 subsection (3) The above provision of the Constitution enshrined the federal character principle since 1979 to ensure that appointments to public service institution fairly reflect the linguistic, ethnic, religious, and geographic diversity of the country. To this end, faithful implementation of universal primary education and imaginative rehabilitation of secondary and tertiary education are required to ensure equal opportunities for all citizens to compete for civil service positions on the basis of merit. So far, in the so called change mantra and search for near-clean candidates for federal executive appointments, President Buhari has been making lopsided appointments dominated by North. His antecedents, dispositions and body language is unbecoming of a sensitive and listening leader who knows the diversity of the nation he rules. Arguably, this spites Nigerian constitution and Federal Character Principal. If Nigeria is to know truthful peace and achieve national integration, unity and economic growth, then the Federal Character Principle is a necessary evil. Whatever may be the criteria and qualities considered for appointments, I know that such criteria and qualities are not exclusive preserve of any tribe, region, religion or geography. So, the argument that it does not matter where the person comes from so long as the person is competent and delivers does not hold waters as you cannot search in any particular region or zone and not find and equally meritorious candidate. It is not where someone comes from that makes someone corrupt or not as we have had and heard corruption cases of people from all quarters and zones of this nation. So, discipline, incorruptibility, integrity and solid leadership traits are not exclusive preserve of any region or tribe. The federal character principle is a necessary evil that Nigerians have to live with for now. It is a sacrifice to be made for the emergence of the just and egalitarian society we aspire to have while still praying hopefully that with time when our politic body has developed sufficient immunity and becomes impermiable to the virus of prejudice, tribal sentiments, and discrimination the federal character principle will go the way of the dinosaur. However, if this system of ruling is not reviewed, it could lead to societal unrest, national disintigration and autocratic governamce where the president easily empowers individuals and tribes of his interests without due regard to good conscience, natural justice and equity. No matter what your nice dreams are for Nigerians, it must be such that the plan be actualised by the constitution of Nigeria and democratic tenets. Nigerians should know that the unconstitutional action they praise today may turn around tomorrow to hunt them. No region should be made to regret the way they voted whether 95% region or 3% region since they exercised their constitutional right. 3% regions don't beg anybody for favour. They only demand that Nigeria be governed with the provisons for her constitution and Federal Character Principal in one of such provisions. We shall keep wailing until we move toward fair Nigeria and Good Governance. If you wanna join the the Assiociation of Wailers For Fair Nigeria and Good Governance, you can indicate your interest here. Wailers!- Fair Nigeria, Good governance. We wish PMB well while still praying that he desists from being unnecessarily adamant in changing his bad old ways. |
Campaigning still |
Sorry followers. Are they through with this recruitment? I thought the Eunisell recruitment team were transparent with the publication of the candidates test scores. What happened in other stage(s) of the recruitment exercise? |
Biased reporters. Sahara Reporters are a disgrace to professional journalism. I'd rather stay than work with "let's pull him down" reporters. Junk journalism. |
It is one of the maladies of our time for people to profess a frenzied allegiance to truth on trivial issues and refuse to face it when graver and serious issue occasions itself. That's what Nigerians are good at - bringing religion in everything even when common sense will make do. |
I didn't see anything in both my inbox and spam. |
