Kindly respond
I believe anyone can apply, however due to covid 19 restrictions, Canada is prioritizing application processing for persons eligible to travel

For my parents, the whole process of passport submission and return took about 3 weeks

We made courier payment to VFS account and submitted teller with the passports just to be on the safe side, however some posts on Nairaland study thread confirmed they just did 2 way courier service and did not have to pay VFS courier fees.

Epoh4 did you just get your PPR?
Yes, for visit visa, for my parents. I know this is not the correct thread for that, but I came here to enquire about passport submission because this is a very informative and active forum.

I am grateful for the information recieved. All the best to everyone on their study visa application process.

I know some people will come for my head for what am about to write right now, but i couldn't care less.

Bros, I believe you are a graduate. Don't know why most of us love to be spoon fed. Are you telling me that all through secondary school till now, you did not write a single essay? If you didn't, then i suggest you use google for what you are looking for. As simple as that.
Dear friends,

Lets stop being abusive. We really don't have to reply to every post. If we have a positive remark, we can comment. Let our words be gracious and seasoned with salt. Lets remain positive. smiley

Hi Everyone,

ICC has finally responded. I applied to visit my sister who has just put to bed. I was refused based on grounds of assurance that i would return considering my purpose of travel.
I submitted a leave letter from my office tho (been working for two years) as a proof that I have a job here and i will return.
I'm reapplying now and I just saw that the examples of documents stated under purpose of travel are;
Return flight ticket
Travel Itinerary; hotel bookings and
Medical appointment letter
I didn't include any of these in my initial application.
I'ld like to know if it's not a sign of desperacy to purchase the return ticket as that is the only option that applies to me here.

I submitted my application online on the 1st of June and had my bio-metrics done on the 3rd of June 2017. Its way pass their 99days applications processing time as per their website and yet no information from them. I have read of some people who submitted on a later date in June receiving notifications of approval or denial. I would appreciate anyone with a superior knowledge of how the Canadian Visa process works to let me know why some applications are being delayed more than the others. Thanks in anticipation.. Cheers
Honestly, I don't understand them. I submitted my application since May 26th, did biometrics June 3rd. Still waiting too.

@Epoh4 yes I did online n I applied 9th June but had little issue with my application cos before joining dis page I knew nothing about canadian visa application as everything is handled by an immigration lawyer based in Canada. So I didn't do my biometric until d end of August cos d bio receipt wasn't included in d application initially. So right now I don't know when my application will be ready based on d issue mentioned. I just hope the processing time doesn't start counting dis august cos that will mean am really on a long thing... That's my case oo my friend. Hopefully u will get response to ur application soon. Wish u d very best my friend
Thank you for your reply. Its so sad, the processing time is to long, especially for online route. Hopefully, we will hear good news soon.

dear Epoh4, it matters not. when applications made on the same day are not finalized at the same time, it is because documents verification are wasting time and there is nothing you can do but wait. exercise some patience.good luck
Thank you Jawa.

Hello everyone,

Is there anyone still waiting to hear from CIC that applied for Canada visit visa in May via online?

I applied for visit visa May 26 and I am yet to get any update from CIC.

This forum is very informative. Good job nairaland!
My online account says "fingerprint not received", which is the biometrics.
Do you think that's why the application is being delayed? What will you advise I do?
