Lmaooo... What local price? Oil is currently being sold at $90/barrel worldwide; how much will you sell to Dangote and co? Oil revenue is used to majorly fund our national budget; say you set local price at $50/barrel, where will you fund the deficit of $40/barrel? Lol... through borrowing? While we currently sell locally at international price, we still need borrowing to completely fund our budget. The difference between the current borrowing regime and the borrowings before subsidy was removed is that we not borrow to fund capital project instead of borrowing to pay salaries. Previously, we borrow to consume. Today, we borrow to build. Na the previous regime Hashim and Atiku dey propose. These people are not serious. Also, we will essentially go back to the regime of subsidy fraud because local refineries and the crooks at NNPC can now buy crude at cheaper price and offload to other nations to sell at OPEC price. No be this same subsidy that made our refineries go into comatose for decades. We had no private investments into refineries too. Dangote Refinery was birthed because the FG took the bold step to remove subsidy. Now we have Kenyan president coming here to see Dangote Refinery work and is working with Dangote group to build one in East Africa. Today, Nigeria rules the refinery business in Africa, when the construction of the proposed East Africa refinery hasn't even take off. Nigeria now give Europe a run for their money - na we dey fill the gap opened by the Iranian war. So, how else does Hashim want support our local refinery to dominate the global market? 2 Likes |

Even America, being the world's top superpower, runs her economy on debt. Today, the USA has over $40 trillion in debt and they keep accumulating more every single day. It's only low thinkers that eat his lies about debt sha. His Obidents have finally pushed him to where he no know. The sitting governor of the state you once governed for eight years said you left debt, you wan fight am. Someone who has access to every record tied to the state even before it was created? It must be ment. Soludo is giving Obi and his Obidents a long rope. When he first started with the article, I knew he was planting a seed. I can guarantee you: he has more evidences. He will keep releasing them bit by bit and Obi being the clueless one will keep defending them, until the evidences are becoming overwhelming to even defend. Look at this Tanko for example. Today he's a mega producer with a conglomerate of companies producing all kind of things, from basic salt, sugar, flour, cement, to refining petroleum products. Today, he has the biggest refinery in Africa, with expansion plans to become the biggest in the world. But you wey dey shout consumption to production has been an importer since you started your business career. During the reign of Abacha, you import wetin no good for this country. Today, you are one of the biggest importer of many products in Nigeria. You make many campaign promises about turning Nigeria into a producing country, protecting local farmers and manufacturers but products as basic as toothpick, you import them massively into the country. LIAR!!! Abeg, if your major business is importation, what assurance do Nigerians have that you won't destroy local production to favor your business? What guarantee do we have you won't you won't push reforms that favor importers to boost your own business because there is clearly a conflict of interest? You know the funniest thing? Since 2025 when I made this post, Obi didn't set up a common rice mill or agbado roasting factory but you can't even count the number of times he has said "consumption to production" in the media. And none of the journalists that have interviewed him since 2022 for once asked about this.SAKAMANJE!!! FURA DE NUNU!!! ZOBO!!!!! LIAR LIAR!!!!!!
