You rarely see deputy governors becoming governors in Nigeria or VPs becoming presidents. Hamzat may just change the narrative. Since Femi Gbaja, my preferred candidate, has endorsed him, getting Escobar to back him may just be easy. That means the coast is clear for him.

If the coast wasn't clear, Sanwo, Gbaja, Obasa won't have publicly endorsed him.

All these public displays are only PR and signals to the electorate/supporters that the Lagos APC has selected a successor. The backdoor meetings were completed a long time before now.

Your post is affirming what he said. It's not a government problem but Nigerian problem. Many banks and gas stations open their restrooms to the public in other countries, so if you say Nigerians are not decent, the government can't help them. That's parental and societal failure.
There should always be partnership between private institutions and the government.

Yea, it's a Nigerian problem that can only be corrected by the government through orientation, awareness, enforcement, and partnership with the family and religious groups.
