i have always used a v6..last i used was a 3.5litre engine.. last saturday i went to the beach with my family from Ikorodu to Ajah (through 3rd mainland) and back.. i bought a fuel worth of 2500 (17litres). Left with tank on red and had a bit left when i arrived home..

Please this is not 1999-2001 models 2.5 v6 engine with 4 speed auto gear...

Please avoid calling with ridiculous prices as if i stole the car.

A prospective buyer chatted with me over the week.. Requested I service and put car in order cos he was coming from warri and would like to. Travel back with it next day.
I had to take a day off work sat with Mech, replaced brake pads, top up ac gas, fixed window switch and every little thing that would make his wife appreciate it.
He eventually told me he was on his way yesterday by 1pm and has gotten to benin by 3pm..
7pm he hasn't gotten to Lagos. Number ringing and he is not picking. I called his wife and she "sounded" worried that she also could not reach him.
Later his phone went dead.
I was practically praying for safety for this dude not knowing the dude decided to keep me in d dark.
Reason: He didn't want me to sell it to the other buyer because he loved the ride and wants it at al cost. At least that's the sms I got from him by 4pm today. I already had a buyer during the week who inspected and wanted to pay but he had promised to show up calling and pleading that it because of distance and work.. his wife even promised to deposit but I refused.
Lesson learned. Negotiate all u can.. it's now a first come first serve basis.

I use a Mazda MPV 05 and have used two 03 model.
I have sold an earlier 03 model last year and have put the other 03 model for sale when I got the 05.
Truth is the MPV is sleek to drive.
Easier to maintain in terms of cost. Part are cheap compared to toyota.
Fuel efficiency... for a V6 engine, I give it thumbs up.
For MPV that come with factory fitted ac.. when u turn on the ac it doesn't put any pressure on the engine and it chill like mad(I dont know about the non Factory fitted ac).
The engine are very Quiet and powerful that why transporters like it.
The challenge that make transporters run from it is cause.. it can't take overload for long distance like sienna counterpart. There is what the call the. "Beam" which will crack if luggages exceeds the recommended carriage.
Aside that it's a great car.. if you use it you won't sell it.
We have given toyota the power to kill us.

Ambode is not removing pickup vans from the roads.There will be alernatives for sure.Real change must come with a few adjustments. Its only in nigeria danfoes are used to move tomatoes around.

For the record those in Ikorodu don't drive because the road that would have been expanded was used to create lawn for BRT
My car is more convenient than a public bus that I will have to wait on a queue for close to an hour on a Monday morning to get a standing position and stand all true Lagos. It is cheaper no doubt.
