I bought a transmission for an Honda Accord 2001 model from Luvinhubby July 27, 2020. I made it clear to him that I wanted transmission for an American specs.
Instead of the spec I requested for, he sent me the Europe version and this was evident from the gear seat that came with the transmission. I installed the transmission next day and it was not shifting and he was informed same day.
After so many talk from him to buy time we concluded that he will replace the transmission. I kept calling him ever since that time & he kept giving excuses like am out of town, am attending to burial etc.
Sadly he stopped picking my calls or responding to my messages.
What made it very sad is that I have been buying products from him since 2018 and I wonder how a man that claim to have integrity suddenly turn around to act this way.
Am presenting this on a public media like this to give him (Luvinhubby) the privilege to redeem his image if truly I misinterpreted his status.

Please what's the difference between American babyboy gear and Europe's own...

well I don't think spare parts would b expensive here in Nigeria..... what I think is that his business strategy ar poor ... because being an indigenous car manufacturer.. and considering the lesser tax returns and shipping cost he is enjoying... his cars supposed to be cheaper and affordable than foreign shipped cars....anywaz las las Hausa men sabi business.... imagine na dangote get IVM

Not the cost of the parts being expensive..

But since IVM is sole producer of parts and limited distribution network unlike the regular Toyota brand that our ibo brothers can import enmasse and encourage competition.. Monopoly will kill the customer

Were will we see spare parts? Body parts? Except from company direct which may end up being more expensive

The cars are mostly bought brand new and the owner have not rocked it well enough to consider selling it.

In all I still think it's a nice thought... God no forbid us from driving brand new shaa

This is a little bit confusing.... What's full start....

It's either the engine is running
or
you just turned on the ignition without starting the car(IE engine is not running)

If your engine is not running and your have the information displayed on the picture you posted ... Your car is pretty much ok....

If you engine is running.. and you have this picture on your dash.... You have everything to worry about your matrix

It is an additive, but I also have the Engine oil. Which already contains the MTC.

Polytron 5W 30 synthetic engine oil. Also performs the same function as the additive.

#just to add... There is a particular sensor on the gear body...(under the airflow compartment)..

The mechanic loosed the bolt and removed the sensor and cleaned it. He says The cable connected to the sensor is not having current... (He doesn't know if the cable should carry current at that stationery point or when the car is in motion as he doesn't have knowledge of gear workings).

When the engine is cold it's alwys above the hot Mark, let the vehicle run for 5-10 mins. Then u can check the fluid level.
"cold level" indicates the transmission oil level when the engine runs for 5-10 mins. U don't need to worry about the "hot mark" if uve verified the "cold Mark" is properly guaged.
And i think the required transmission fliud is WS and not "T whatever". I'm not certain though cos I'm not an auto expert; but if it's the wrong fluid uve got there, drain ASAP and use the right stuff.

Let me break explain from the onset.

I had a failed gear pump(pump stop working all of a sudden in d morning). Although, I initially wanted to replace the gear. Went to Ladipo, guys gave me a wrong gear(05 Corolla gear) requiring t4 oil which I bought (8 litres).
I eventually return the gear and bought a gear pump. Installed and for lack of sufficient fund used the t4 oil on the old gear.


Current issue: early morning... Gear shift very hard(even reverse). But after some 30- 40mins drive ... It shift very smoothly.
Initially thought it was the engine seat but they are all firm. Mechanic says its because the pump is new.
This is the third day and it still doing hard shifting if I drive early in the morning or I park for a long time.

Take it back to your mechanic to drain the excess. Be careful so you don’t go below the mark.

Did... He claims the fluid was not in excess but the slant position I parked when guaging.

I scanned and got a P2770 code.

Did you use the recommended oil and rightly gauged? When was the last time the gear oil was changed? Lastly have the car scanned.

I used a t4 transmission fluid
just did another check... It looks like it's way above the hot marker.

Please I recently did a gear oil change on my Corolla 08 2zr engine and I realised that my gear does hard shift from 1-2 up till 4.
But after a long Drive say about 1hour it stabilises herself.

Once it parked down again for a long time it goes through the process above.
Initially I though it was my engine seat..
meet my mechanic and he said they are all firm..(coupled with the fact that after a long drive the hard shift ceases.) Please what could be wrong?

The funny thing is that if your wife's mum had remarried after a year like your dad, it even 3 years after, she would have been under fire for not mourning her husband enough.
