I have a friend turned brother before he left Naija for UK in 2020. Till date he has never ghosted me for once, we speak minimum 5 hours a week. I can reach out to him anytime, Truth be told He calls me more. Before he left, he told me, bro I'll tell you the truth about abroad and he lived up to his word.
SO when I read about people ghosting their friends when they get abroad, I'm always like wetin dey worry these ones.

The people who complain.do so based on where the person travelled to. Their paddi would leave for Benin .... and for two years not a word from Benin ....no enquiry ...no complaint. Their paddi left for US ... two weeks ...no word .... they start to complain quietly... privately...then loudly...publicly ... of being ghosted by their childhood paddi. We all know why.

Come to think of it... How many pple in secondary school or university we consider "friends" do we still keep the closely InTouch with if not for old school group.
Unless u want to create a japa group for all your friends abroad, there is nothing u really can do about the ghosting.
If you both are not contributing to each others life from afar... Seriously abroad is not for chit chat..
Worst case 3 months ... Wetin una wan dey talk.?.. hows is the weather, ..? Una don chop? It doesn't cut it.
Believe me your abroad friends didn't diss you... They just got preoccupied with a new way of life... Explaining it to you may just be a way of dissing to much proudness like "they have made it" meanwhile the hustle is real.
Let's not forget those who drop 3 consecutive "Good Morning Bro" and the an "account number" to follow it... Hmmm every penny is planned for. Including the one they wanna give u.

To make matters worse some pple abroad are doing worse off than their fellow back home, how can dey come and tell you that they paid that expensive shit to go suffer... Dey rather bury their head into the hustle and grind it out.

Give your abroad friends a break... Try wish them well once once .. cos the grass is not always green on the other side

That is because the Nigerian mechanic have deviced the "Nigerian way" to replace ball joint which is not proper.

The ball joint is attached to the lower arm of the vehicle. With a faulty/clunky ball joint the standard procedure is to replace the complete "lower arm" that actually comes with a ball joint.
What we have in naija is so many individuals selling different grades of "quality" ball joint which will not solve the truck.
If you have a Honda with a ball joint sound, change the Lower arm with an eom part.
Do let your mechanic to keep hitting and replacing ball joint. You are only expand the joint socket obviously giving room to the inevitable.

It was the abs cable at the drivers wheel that cut..

Unfortunately the rewire charged me outrageously just to join the two wires with a cellotape..(I never knew that was what he did and charged me 30k then in 2020)

Not until.the issue persisted again... I went and checked and realized the tape has washed off and the wires disconnected again.. I removed the wires and soldered it and that was the end

Georgetown and Caledon are good option but one must be driving. These cities are close to Brampton and cheaper in rent compare to Brampton. Hamilton is a good option like you said very accessible to Mississauga and a lots of Nigeria communities there.

There is nothing in what you describes that confirma your engine is overheating.

If you have a leak in your cooling system, your reservoir will constantly run out of water and the steam from the leak will make your engine bay appear slightly hotter than usual.

Look for the leak, fix it and save that engine.

Those who order a ride and the driver arrives only for you to tell him to wait you need to take you bath... Dress up.. Etc... Keeping him waiting for minutes to hours... Bad enough you see a white man wait right at his doorstep for his ride and super polite of he is a minute late.

How well is your knowledge about those vehicles.... Mechanically...

Camry 2000... Easy to maintain... U can flog I5 any which way... Not *too selective* about the oil to use..(please still use her recommended spec) it is like a tortoise... Never dies... That why its the beloved .. However it uses a timing BELT which could snap... But considering the others and Dir peculiarity... The Camry is still preferable.. It is Also not very security friendly as it is easily accessible. Especially if you do not park in a secured environment.

Accord 03/04... I guess you must have heard... The leg pulls .. Taaaa... Depends on the mechanic experience level... And dats why I asked... You can drive an accord for years without experiencing leg pull..
The however shortfall of the car is her gear... She doesnt like the abuse of oil...
Most local Mech always bypass the cooling system of the gear oil .. The part that goes into radiator... Hence general process of damaging the gear.. Using the wrong oil Also causes damage.. The right oil is quite pricey she compared to the others.
On the plus side, it is an easy buy easy sell car.. Fanciful and enjoyable in driving especially in handling and suspension. U will love her performance with an attrative dashboard.. Compared to the others..
Also have the demand option since the car could be turned to a revenue generating asset.

The Benz... Well I cant say much as I havent driven it well..

Best I can think so far the C class is one of the best to a starter.. In terms of fuel economy...
I am not to conversant with the cost of parts and common complaints.

Maintenance of both Camry and the Honda are quite at par..

My friend recklessly drove my 2009 toyota corrola car and it hit a big pothole, the gearbox bottom plate broken and there's a leakage of gear box oil. my mechanic advised I replace the bottom plate and the oil once engine cool tomorrow morning.

which gear oil do you think is the best for 2009 Toyota corolla ?
