Its beyond tht bro and as the world as become a global village what the organisers of this show as done is waht they call "destination personality PR". If you dnt knw wht tht is,i will explain. You would know tht nations of the world are all competing to be the investment and tourism hub of the world and every nation is trying to prove they are the ideal location in the world. You need to have a competitive edge to get ahead, such as good economy, peace and security, socio political stability and tourism destinations. Since Nigeria is not known to hav achieved much in any of this areas, you need other means to prove to the world tht u r a viable destination for investments, which we obviously need.
You need to do PR for t
he country such as publicity on international cable networks, inviting notable names in business, entertainment, world politics e.t.c just to give you tht much needed p
ublicity. to prove as in the case of Nigeria tht we are not all abt Boko haram, internet scam, govt corruption and all the negative news tht is rife abt this country but tht we are a modern nation and an emarging player in the globalised world.

That's not through, this has nothing to do on our economic or to woo foreign investors to nigeria business platform. This is were we nigerian are getting it all wrong. This $500,000 is not going to be spend here in nigeria, instead it will help to depreciate our naira value. Why on earth should darey pay her that huge amount of money, I don't understand it! I want to believe all this are speculation. I rest my case here

VISA: I assisted 2 of my friends to get a working visa(5 yrs) through the help of my cousin that is based in doha, and one of them left last month he is staying with my cousin temporarly till he can get a job,he got his visa within a week. JOBS: concerning jobs, they are cerification courses that last about 1 to 2 weeks, which you can do that will assist you in getting a job easily, certification courses in safety, management etc. I don't know if you have a degree, but if you have one it is an added advantages my cousin got a job in qatar airways with his degree from delsu.
ACCOMODATION : most nigerians I know that are living in qatar usually share accomodation, you can share with 2 to 3 people, that would cost you about 15 - 20k a month. It depends on the kind of accomodation and the location as well.through Shared accomodation you can meet fellow nigerians like you who can guide you on how things work in qatar.

TICKET: my friend who left last month flew etihad airways and he paid 160k.
Qatar airways is about 3000 riyals(dats about 150k in naira).

When you get to qatar you will do your medicals and then start processing your resident permit, the resident permit cost about 85k,
Please don't listen to anyone promising you job on arrival. Go to qatar first when you get there you look for a job there by yourself, I am not saying getting a job in qatar is easy ooo. But with God all things are possible.
Cheers!!!
five years...!! Working? That is awesome. Anyway I would really like to apply for a working visa here. Someone advice to checking qatar airline office here in victoria island. I would really like you to ask your cousin to give me proper counselling on Ђ♡̨̐w to apply here. I need someone to guide me.

Concerning my education qualification, I have a degree in industrial chemistry. I really need your assistance.

fumkos: Hello everybody,
My little contributions goes thus:

for Dubai holidays-get to any of the airlines or agents, the visa is just 200 USD. I usually go with QATAR Airlines and i have never sked them for hotel accommodation. deira is where the shopping is and hotels around that place are btw 120 and 150 dhrs which is abt N4,800 to N6,000.
for the person with 350k, you can get visa for 32k, flight for 125k, hotel for 5 days at 6k per night is 30k, total of N187k. you will have only abt N170k which is about 1,000 usd for shopping and transport. most of the things you want to buy are there in deira but if you want designers, you go to city center where the malls are. there is also nigerian restaurant there in deira, so you would not miss home. the popular gold sou is also in deira.

for Qatar holidays and working visas--you can make enquiries at qatar airline and it is just for 14 days and it cost just 100Qrh which is about N4,500. but for the work permit, you need to go through a sponsor who will do all your papers over there and right from Nigeria, you are going with your work permit OR a company, who will also process your work permit and send to you and you are going with all your documents intact from Nigeria. pls shine your eyes abt these so called agents. what most of them do is to get the visiting visas for you on the pretext that when you get there, they process your work permits and when you get there, they become incommunicado. you cannot get through to their numbers again. so you would have spent about N400K to N500K on a visa that would ordinarily cost you 100 qrh, about N4,500. I rest my case.
you mean I can apply directly at their office here in victoria Island, without going through an agent?

Ponel: MÝ advice to anyone travelling to qatar or UAE is that you should have enough money on you to cater for yourself when you get there, I was in dubai some few year back, and I came across nigerians hovering around gold souq, some of them even stay in front of your hotel waiting for fellow nigerians to show up and they start begging for assistance, most of them are stranded there. They are still some nigerians over there who are working and doing business, some drive cabs and from what they said they make a lot of money from it. If you have someone in dubai or qatar who can accomodate till you can stand on your own, then go ahead and travel, but if you don't have someone over there please have enough money on you to survive you till you can get a job.
I am would be applying for my 5years qatar visa soon. I have a relative over who I am going to stay with, any questions you have concerning qatar let me know and I will ask him.
PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM NOT AN AGENT.
Just here to give the little assistance I can give.
Thanks
pls can you tell me more about qatar, cos I would really like to work there. But don't have anyone there

bokohalal: A son-in-law is never a member of the wife's family. The case is different for the daughter-in-law. Why this is so,yours truly cannot answer.
The son-in-law is however under obligation to help the father-in law till his farmland and bring festive gifts. Modernity has overtaken this. Many sons-inlaw just send money now. And some? Not at all. This might not be unconnected with the song;
"Ukpo ni ye gua ne orhuan mwen"meaning "the year I went to till for my inlaw" and the song goes on to lament how terribly he felt afterwards.
.
Truly you are a bini man

Lastly is it wise for me to get a visa through Emirate airline or traveling agent. Which will be better. Though I'm really comfortable in dealing with agents. And how much will cost me to get my visa, ticket and accommodation.

There are different category of visa, example tourist and visit visa can't be use for application of job. Can one apply for working visa on arrive? Because I know the visa they are going to offer here must be tourist or visit depend on visa request. So I want to know if the process of getting a working visa is an easy on arrival.
Politics / Re: Latin-American Drug Cartels Fund Boko-Haram, Ansaru - Report by erinox: 6:14pm On Mar 09, 2013
This can be true because drug cartels are business minded, steadfast, them don,t associate, they are self centered, stingy and them don't invest in a business that doesn't yield result.
