Tareq1105:I didn't feel like responding to you again but I think I should let you know something tonight. Gone are the days when GAC used to have a say here. They didn't do anything about declaring lagos for tinubu in 2023. They only had power at the state level and the power is fading already. People who are the voters are wiser now. GAC can endorse a candidate and he'll still lose. Ask Sanwoolu who was begging us to please allow him do his 2nd term before we considered him. He'd also have lost. At some point, he was looking like skeleton, going everywhere, begging. 2027 won't be same scenario as it was in the past with or without GAC |
Tareq1105:See someone who's educating me . I heard you. All those parties you mentioned still exist till today. I voted for him as senator under the SDP and as AD guber candidate. He should have remained loyal and stayed with them instead of jumping here and there. He knew he can't survive without politics. Williams death gave him that power to dominate here cos without the incident, he'd have been an ordinary man on the street, if he's not in jail till today cos of the atrocities he committed here when in power cos Williams had vowed to deal with him. It won't be the same scenarios from 2027. We've shown him the sign in 2023 already. It will be louder this time. You can vote him in your state if you wish. When I told all the outsiders that he'll lose here they called me names. It's still same us, who would vote, not sheep or goatsMind you mr educator, my response was as a result of obi's case you mentioned. It's not same scenario at all. |
Tareq1105:Aregbesola in alimosho of course. He's the same man in osun. Do yiu know another one? |
A very difficult task he can never achieve. You guys are so smart . By the time he eventually lost, they will say it's because he didn't do what you asked him to do. You should have just told him no way for him in the north in 2027 and we'd have agteed. We already knew he deceived you with the same faith ticket and you dont forgive. Those hailing the northerners jumping to the apc, do a rethink oo, don't jubilate yet cos they need Tinubu's money to campaign for their candidates. Go and ask Jonathan who even did so much for them. They used his money to campaign and work for buhari. |
Tareq1105:Your last paragraph is laughable. Aregbre is a highly respectable man. Call me out the day he returns to the apc...to do what exactly? We loved him when he was in alimosho and we still love him. Anywhere he directed us, we went because he's a super leader and a grassroots politician. The moment he hands off apc in osun, the opposition took over. He's not a man you can toy with. APC gba ole, o gba olę, o gba jaguda ati ojęlu. Aregbe has always been a protege of Buhari. It was his state Buhari won in the entire south west in 2011. He left the moment Buhari's tenure ended and quietly. |
Richtaiwo:Did Obi go back to the pdp like akinlade, who reruned to his vomit? Obi left due to what atiku did by hijacking the ticket already zoned to the south, which was also why wike that you're now praising is working for the apc. Apga used to be a sister party to the PDP, mind you Akinlade left the apc due to desperation to rule after abiodun was dashed the ticket by Tinubu. Obi is still in Labour, despite all the exco's crisis. He's not even concluded on the alliance yet. Akinlade was in 4 different parties like tinubu, who left SDP for AD and later AC which he later changed to ACN and now, the APC. All those parties he abandoned still exist till today |
Jumping upandan. I know him. They can't survive without politics. |
Racoon:Exactly, including Arab. They tried majorly in the middle east and some parts of africa. |
MIKOLOWISKA:There would be checks and balances and common interest. When we were running a regional government, everyone sat up cos the resources needed to develop each region were within the region. No room for corruption and waste of resources. As you can see there's no common interest at heart and that's why everyone goes there to cut the cake at the centre and leaves. State and local also follow suit. That's a major reason we're not growing as a nation. |
FactBoyz:Yes! |
She's really pretty. Our people get eyes . Hml |
Even here in Lag 👍 I dunno why they always exclude us in everything...leadership? |
Naijaprosper:It's not about trump. Trump took office only late last year. The poor trend started in the last quarter of 2023, from US, to Canada, to the UK and Kemi Badenoch's vow to cut it down(don't forget she's not speaking alone). I was just laughing when reading the Nigerians reactions about Kemi's message. They're writing the scripts for her to read out. It's not her making. Visa refusal is not same experience with other nations though some were partially affected due to destination countries' internal immigration policies. Germany refused a lot of Nigerian applicants last year alone. I'm a realist and a lover of Nigeria. That's why some of us came back and never regretted the decision we took. But the news of investors coming isn't true as portrayed. I wish it was true. None of his overseas business meetings had yielded any singke fruit so far. He wanted to visit Qatar and they said he's not welcome . After some diplomatic chit-chat and rows, they now said he should come. Is it those ones that are ready to come in? They claimed they promised to, let's hope they truly will. With the spate of the unabated insecurity in the land, where the entire family of 11 citizens are being massacred and perpetrators are still at large, my brother, if you were a foreign investor, would you come to our country? I first saw the news on BBC and quickly came on nairaland to read more about the benue massacre. You see! They see us before or more than we see ourselves. Foreigners know about Nigeria than we think. If everything was OK, you don't need to advertise, they'd be the ones applying for our visa in droves, same way we want to visit best and safe countries for whatever legit reasons. Did America or south africa market their countries to us before applying for their visa? No! It's because we, the foreigners have researched about them. Can you go to Yemen or Afghanistan to invest? Its because you've researched about them and you see news coming from their nations. Nigerians now move to Benin republic to establish and live. I know 2 who recently set up tourism outeifts there. They'll book air ticket and summer packages for Nigerians. Naija will go there to board flights at good rates and amazing summar fares, compared to what Nigerian companies do. Flight here is more expensive than that of benin. All you need is stamp your passport at the border and enter cotonou, then fly. Cfa has left naira far behind, hope you know. It used to be a useless currency in africa. Tinubu is only known for spreading propaganda. |
dederocs:Don't mind them. The majority of these people don't know what they're saying. They just want to cash out like everyone is doing in every administration. It will cost Nigeria 5 times of it's annual budget to do this. Nigeria is actually larger than what they told us on map. You could drive up 4 hours from nasarawa to benue town on that new road and 4 hours from Abuja to Jos which looks very close. There's a town called kosubosu, it's a border town in kwara. Building a fence there along Niger and Benin republic alone will sink our 1yr annual budget. It's such a massive place and very porous. That's where kwara tokunbo dealers smuggle their vehicles through to Nigeria. It's another elephant project in the making. With a proper leader and followers in place, insecurity is the least of our problems but everyone has compromised, including the security operatives who work for and sell arms to terrorists |
Kemetian:Who's this? Which roads? Dey deceive yourself. I just came back from Ado ekiti( also visited fed teaching hospital precisely). Worst now that I left it last October with people diverting their course to okemesi and ikoro, to burst out at ijero |
Kemetian:Who will fund it? Ordinary existing road, they can't fix |
kettykin:Very soon. We need Odua Republic. But before then, let the drumbeat continue. We keep dancing until we get tired. Nigeria is never a united country. |
Kobojunkie:Yes, parents don't love their children equally. Some may show it while some may not. It's natural . But generally, they don't tend to show it to avoid conflict amongst the children |
Leadership plays a good role. Take it or you leave it. People got approved much more during buhari-led administration than now. Ask those who travelled to usa, UK and Canada during that period. Some mistakes were even overlooked. From.may 2023 onwards, applicants who had more than enough documents got rejected, including some of those who had been traveling before. In some circumstances, they gave Nigerian applicants some considerations and fair-hearing during Buhari's administration than now. People got call from the embassy to send more documents, etc. I stood as a guarantor for a married lady who was going to meet her husband in the USA. She applied as a student. I gave her a statement of 5m naira and the VO told her the amount was too low, compared to the embassy's requirements, asking her if she could get another sponsor that had enough funds. We thought they won't look at the statement. My story always sounds fake to many nay-sayers but let God judge me on this if it's a lie. She said yes and the VO said she should take back her documents, now gave her a 221g form and asked her to respond in a matter of days. We gathered up the money and built up the same account to 15m naira, this was in 2019. I was the one that took her documents to the DHL office in isolo for submission as instructed by the VO cos her job didn't allow her. Her visa was approved. When you have a decent leader in place, you get some considerations and reconsiderations as citizens, both home and abroad. These people know us more than we think we know ourselves. |
Acidosis:I agree on some of your points. Natural disaster, war, epidemics, etc, could be great factors hampering life expectancy, especially up north , where people are exposed to harsh climatic condition, terrorism and poor access to portable water. But are you aware that, death rates are low in the same north among the elderly? My mums age mate are still around. One of them who came for her burial died a few weeks after. Some people even attributed it to mama's shock on her body. There's another one, who was buried last month, also in her 90s. The elderst choke told me that the moment she told her she was coming to ekoti for our mum's burial, her mood changed and she entered her room looking sob. A few months after, she too died. I was even blaming her for informing her mama of her planned trip. Their mum grew up with my mum. They had pictures together sef. In that town, I still know her mates who are alive but only very few. 90 years is a good age. There are several who are in their 70s and 80s who also came for mama's burial. They called her auntie. Largely, life expectancy is very low in our cities. There's no doubt about this and it's due to many factors as you know. Stress contributes to this significantly. But in towns and villages, the majority of those you'd see are old people. I don't believe in those statistics. |
Lekan239:Na their way. That state needs a serious-minded leader. Maybe he too is saving money to build a private university in Ghana like his predecessor. I wonder why ekiti people who used to be known for writing petitions when in the old ondo state have suddenly become a lame duck. |
Davido all the way. Anyone that has seen David perform would know he's an entertainer par excellence. He's a philanthropist and that alone made me like him. Wizkid don chop tortoise head. Maybe his stingy character was influenced by his upbringing. Winning awards isn't the best criterion to rate any artiste. Not about collabo to win grammy. Artistes should be entertainers, someone who would make you happy whenever you're sad with his/her music. In all, both of them are good cos I don't want to hurt anyone here. But the truth can't be hidden |
Congratulations son. Sky will only be your starting point. Ekiti needs to wake up pls. I wonder what that publicity governor is doing in that state, road maintenance, zero, education, zero. Na to dey do publicity upandan, dey snap with new native designs under awo's cap. |
Amd we know you've always been working for him. We know your codes |
Including his refusal to provide palliatives fir the subsidy he removed since 2023 abi? Make una dey deceive una sef. In the end, we know you'd still blame your failures on the Buhari's administration. You've been saying it stylishly already, after all your fake policies and reforms have failed |
This used to be alien to us, until the APC came |
If she goes under the knife now, in order to get a banging body and ends her life in the process, same people will still blame her. In life, don't strive to satisfy others. So long as you're satisfied with your look or deeds, The rest is inconsequential. If you dare exceed your elastic limit in life, na your luck. |
Lanre1st:They had their certificates of birth still intact(western british Nigeria). If you've been to ekiti, you'd understand what education means to every home. My uncle(my mum's elder brotherr) was the 1st medical Dr in the town. My mum was the flower girl when he was getting married. From there you could tell if they're educated or not. Ekiti used to be the most educated state in Nigeria, mind you. They all had their birth details intact. When my mum died last year. We searched her box and saw her baptismal card, in which her age was written as a young girl. I'm from an educated family. Just like wole soyinka, my grandpa and dad never believed in orthodox drugs. They take agbo. I recommended a doctor to my dad and he sent him away |
chigator2:Maybe you're the one fooling yourself by agreeing with them. My mum died at age 90yrs last year April. My paternal grand father died over 100yrs in 1996. My maternal grandmother died 89yrs in 1987. My grandpa's had never visited hospital in his entire life, except when he had hernia and got operated. My dad is still alive. He's never visited hospital before. The only time he visited was when he had a surgeries in his leg. . It's same scenarios in other towns and villages in Nigeria. These western people don't like hearing the truth about what africa is really made up. They ran away during covid-19, thinking Nigerians would be dying like fowl as they told them, due to our poor health system. Some of them couldn't return to Nigeria to work. The death they were running away from, met them in their countries they ran to. Covid took their lives |
Africans live very long, in fact much longer than most of those countries mentioned |
