MacLovington: Why do you waste your breath on a person like Billyonaire or whatever he calls himself. He's one of those fairly comfortable and dispises the less-privileged.
He always has a axe to grind with those abroad. He does it in every thread. He brags incessantly about how comfortable he is in the midst millions of impoverished people.
He likes to wallow in self-deceit in the midst of the monumental poverty around him.

I know of many people living in that same Nigeria who would have long died of diseases and poverty if not for their children/in-law/relatives abroad.

He would make a typical corrupt, wasteful, hard-hearted and unrepentant Nigerian politician.
well said...I still dont get it why some Nigerians back home mock Nigerians in diaspora. There are americans scathered everywhere, there are italians scathered all over the world, same as germans, french etc.Is it a crime if a few nigerians make use of the oppurtunities abroad in the quest to make Nigeria a better place collectively for their families and the society at large?

REALITY101: On point. But generally I don't think hotel workers earn much.
bros you are on a long thing. Here in Italy hotel employees earn alot most especially the chefs an average 2500euro monthly.Bar attendants not as much as cooks.

RVP had just a year left in his contract..have that in mind.
Again,am left to wonder..just what becomes of Chicharito??

Logically arsenal will make profit if the deal go through.24M for a 29yr old and injury prone.Arsenal sold him because he may leave next year for free(without transfer fee)

Yeah they claim because the expiry is Oct 20
forget about the expiry date as long as you will be in italy before october.Your study programme exceeds 90days therefore you will be applying for a permit of stay(study purpose)when you have the permit of stay, you can always go back to Nigeria whenever you want

The travel agency I am booking with just advice that I book a return ticket because the visa with me expires oct 20 even though I explain to dem that permit will be processes in Italy. They said immigration officers could give me hassles. Pls what's ur take on this cos I might be forced to book a return with flexible option.
Sure the agency will want to earn more but it all depend on you.If you are so sure that you will be coming back then go ahead and buy a return ticket.Did you say the immigration will disturb you if you dont have a return ticket?

Are you refering to nigeria airport or at the italy airport?
The Nigerian airport.Your passport will be stamped OUT in Nigeria and stamped IN in Italy
TravelRe: Italian Student Visa-help! by ernestleon(m): 11:07pm On Aug 14, 2012
The most important point is where your passport will be stamped OUT at that point if them begin misbehave u fit just giv dem smal tin.

@Ernestleon,

How u dey? Do you think its wise for me to book a one way ticket even though I plan to come down in December. I saw one air maroc one way for 100k. I hope immigration officers wont query me!
master ur boy just dey o...i will advice a one way ticket you never can tell what will happen in the future and remember that the agency wont refund if you decide not to travel back to nija in december.
When i was travelling i bought a two way ticket for 155k thinking i will come back after getting my carta di sorggiorno but along the line i decided to remain and finish my bsc here instead of coming back.I called air marco for a refund they refered me to the agency where i bought my ticket then i called the agency they told me "bros that one don enta voicemail",that refund is not possible.
As for those immigration officers, dey will only look at ur (during check-in)passport visa page and then scan the bio-metric chip at the back of the passport ask a question or two and probably try to make you nervous if you are a first time traveller.lastly dem go worry you to drop something for them and threaten you if you dont comply and pls nor fom professor for them it piss them off.Just let them kn that they are the boss and they have the power to do what ever they want.

I would not advice he submits originals with visa application. They are not that organised. My friend that did last year, nothing was returned to him. He had to reapply for missing documents and I don't know if they were able to return all to him
i never knew he was talking abt visa application.i thought it was legalization. You have heard dont submit originals although dey wont collect originals from you. They may want to see the originals but wont take it from you.

Olodostein: You know you guys are so Allergic to the Truth.

You don't have the business acumen nor the mental capacity to thrive in Nigeria that is why you went to a distant land to wipe their asses in order to be elible to crumbs thrown from their tables.

Donxavier: ^^^
The real issue is valuing our heritage and where we come from. Relocating abroad or living abroad all those are side issues. My belief is that I was born in Nigeria for a reason and I should partake in nation building. If I could have survived in Nigeria up to this point, then Nigeria doesn't pose a threat to me. We all know the negatives in Nigeria, it's an overflogged issue. Regardless of how Nigeria is, No light, No water, Bad roads, Bad drainage, horrible government, Insecurity,Super Corruption and all the ills afflicting this nation it is the nation of our birth and I should contribute my own quota to the development of the nation. I believe with Education and hardwork I should at least be able to live decently in this country by any reasonable standard. The way some of those abroad talk you just wonder who will develop the country they are vehemently running away from, like it's not theirs. There must have been a reason why they were born here, otherwise they would have been born in another country. At the beginning of one's journey in Life when one is a nobody, then by all means focus on yourself and develop yourself but when one attains a certain level of achievement then the issue becomes what you have done for humanity. And like they say Charity begins at Home. But Home is different things to different people.

Kofi Annan was the former UN Secretary General. A man who has seen it all. He lived abroad for most of his working life and if there is someone that is exempted from all the consequences of Africans living abroad, then that is one. How high can you go after the that? When he finished his term he returned to Ghana, why? Why doesn't he want to die in New York or Live their Forever? Why did he go back to Ghana?. Even Emeka Anyaoku, the Former Commonwealth Man also returned home after their terms. I don't know, but this people have seen the height and the breadth of living abroad in all its Luxuries and all abroad has to offer, Yet they still returned home.

The conclusion of the matter is there just some kind of honour and dignity that comes with being successful in your Home. That's where you can be Boss, Be well respected and Honoured in a way that can't be done anywhere else.

Just my personal thoughts and feelings on the matter. Not forcing my opinion on anybody and I realise and respect people's free choice to decide for themselves what is best for them.
you should bother yourself about packing your bags and books, remember the aberdeen trip is just weeks away. When you get to scotland, use yourself as a case study try to figure out why Nigerians dont want to come back home.
