John told who? The press or JAMB registrar? Who is telling the press all these? John or JAMB? Asides Nigerian journalists poor reportage, these shouldn't be so hard to understand since it was not a joint press conference with the boy and his counsel.
Jamb is making all these statements.

When someone lies about something so obvious, it makes it difficult to believe any other thing he says. He claimed he didn't get admission into Medicine in UI last year because he didn't do Further Maths in his O'Level instead of admitting that he didn't well enough in his Post-UTME since Medicine in UI is arguably the most competitive in the country to get admission into. He lied there as we all know UI and other Universities don't make Further Maths a compulsory requirement for Medicine. If he had said Engineering, I would have believed him.

Read the whole news again. The whole narration was by the JAMB registrar who called the press conference. The boy never spoke to the press.

Why will his own case be different? While I'm trying to sympathize with this boy's situation, I won't be too emotional and sentimental as you sound not to pick holes in the boy's stories. First, according to Jamb's statement, the boy admitted to saving his sister's number with Jamb's number 55019 and used the sister's phone to send a result through text to himself with that high score to make it appears as if it's a customized text from Jamb. He didn't disprove that allegation. Secondly, he claimed he got 306 last year and was denied admission into Medicine by UI because he didn't have Further Maths in his O'Level. I find that as a lie cos UI doesn't insist on Further Maths for Medicine. They and other schools can only do that for Engineering.

This is all from JAMB, in law, it's just hear-say. Hear from the boy too before you judge or it that too hard?

With the way the insurgency has gone down in the North East one can say that it is a war that has no end in sight, unfortunately.

One important thing I noticed from your narration too is that, the active security agencies in this war I.e the Army, Dss, Cjtf are not working in unison as each one had to verify your movements and reasons for the journey into biu, independently.

It's an operational flaw I think.

If government agencies cannot coordinate this war by working and sharing information effectively in synergy then I think it will definitely impede the process and eventual success in bringing an end to the insurgency.

God help Nigeria end this battle and war.

I quite agree on the operational flaw but the other agencies may not be too agreeable with the army extrajudicial Abuja treatment. That's why the many interviews I guess.
