My issue is all those Carlo this...Mou that. 500m this. Because they would never be wrong. If he wins, he spent. If he loses, he spent. Like, pick a side. He wins waay more than he loses but any isolated loss is enough to overturn all his wins. I said it before: once a man becomes the fastest ever, his critics will say “but he does not know how to fly”. Now he is no more a fraud for not winning even a spoon in EPL. He is now a fraud if he does not win the UCL. LMAO. |

I am not blaming him. He played well and they did not. I am saying he can show better leadership.
Melo and to most degrees PG cannot become so bad after 1 season. Oladipo can not become so good after 1 season. It is leadership. Not that Russell cannot play, he needs to be more of a leader.
You can tell that triple double is on his mind again. If he averages 12 rebounds per game till season ends he will average a triple double they said. Then he gets 16 rebounds against GSW. Most were legit but I can tell you, one or 2 or 3 of those were arrangee.
That is what I mean, he needs to fashi those stats and find how to make his team Win. |

aliondo: If we are going to go out in the first round, then its better we dont make the playoffs
Nobody comes for MELO and P.G,its always Russ being attacked for the team loss.. I know those guys played badly and Russell, played well but I think it is the underlying tactic Kerr uses for OKC: to force him to go berserk as long as he is the only one. If you watched, Draymond was pestering Camelo all game. All his shots were contested. Same for PG and the wing shooters. It was to close the space for Russell to either shoot or drive to the rim. That is why he had lower assists than he usually would but ultra high rebs and points. You would never hear or read me say RW is not a top player. But I would maintain that his hero ball won't win OKC games when it is key. OKC need Adams, PG and to some degree Melo to win games and it is RWs duty to bring out the best in them. Obviously he could do that and still lose. But I wager they would win more games down the stretch than they have lost. Also, people might say if PG and Melo hit their shots, OKC wins but that may not be true. They got almost 2 times the free throws GSW did and dominated the boards. KD did not even shoot that well. But GSW moved the ball really well and gave everyone touches. But Melo did not have any time to get into rhythm. So he clanged and boarded shot after shot. |

Roland17: Let me state this first. Was that a foul? Absolutely...
Baba, I agree with some of your sentiments, however, it almost seems the Warriors organization and fans are choosing not hold Durant responsible in any of these or are too carried away to call this behavior completely.
Honestly, I would be highly disappointed if the events of the 2016 loss to Cavs repeats itself through Durant. This lack of awareness, accountability is the core reason why the Clippers lob city assemble failed in my opinion.
Baba, I watched the entirety of this game and Durant had no business, absolutely no business remaining in the face of the referee screaming vulgar words at him. Watch the attached video and listen closely and you would hear the first time the whistle was blown for the first tech but Durant continued and that was when you can hear multiple whistling from the ref for the ejection. You are right and truth be told, I was livid with him (KD). But I saw him walking away after the first T. Even if he said anything else how does it detract from or add to the first T? I think the ref let his own emotions get in the way. Which was annoying because they were wrong on the missed call and the 2 or so others prior. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 5:32pm On Apr 02, 2018 |
Roland17: Crew chief Bill Kennedy issued a statement at the request of a pool reporter:
"Mr. Durant was ejected due to the fact of two technical fouls. The first technical foul was issued for vulgarity. After the first technical foul was issued, the official tried to walk away, started to walk away, and the vulgarity escalated, and then he was assessed a second technical foul for the escalation of the vulgarity, resulting in an ejection."
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/22961833/golden-state-warriors-forward-kevin-durant-ejected-first-game-back I know the NBA don't want to give refunds to the thousands of GSW fans that were mortified to see KD leave but they should spare us off this false narrative. If you watched the video, KD walked away after hurling vulgarities at the ref. So at what point did he charge at him again for the second T? Also, the people pushing this fib don't seem to realize this was a nationally televised game in which few possessions before that issue, KD was fouled twice to no avail. Then Green was charged for barely touching the bucks player (replays show he did not). So imagine KD going again to the rim only to get hammered and the refs miss it. That is why he lost his cool. I am not justifying his tantrums but I would not let this spin tale by the NBA go unchecked either. |

I bet if it was Harden, he'll get the call but the 2nd best player in the league doesn't have an upper body strength and not as intelligent. That explains it all. Anyways, we better stop f*cking around and carry this momentum into playoffs. Teams with worse roster are playing like they have something to prove. We were turning the ball over too much though. But then KD lost all his spacing, GSW lost 3pt shooting and the finals MVP ain’t got core and leg strength ever since he joined GSW. |

SmooshCHN: The only person i'm worried about is Steph's injury. I hope it's a grade one cause it didn't look as bad as when he slipped vs Houston. They reported it as grade 2 but trust me, that one didn't look like a grade 2 i wish i could see the xRAYs .. Other guys should be fine and as Kerr addressed everyone, there's no excuse from the squad. As for Houston, i'm sure Harden is looking past just MVP and he's looking to prove everyone including Kevin McHale wrong. Let's not decieve ourselves here, this playoffs is gonna be tough and i hope we're healthy if we meet OKC in the second round. The whole drama is suited for them to get their revenge.. I've been praying for the Nuggets to get in the mix but they've just been sleeping. It definitely did not look like grade 2 but I think they had to claim it was grade 2 to force more rest out of him for long term purposes and to re-awaken the rest of the team that may have been depressed following his injury. As for Harden and OKC, take it from me. I won't lose sleep over them. I fear Portland with Nurkic more because he is way better than our centers both in the post and in being less clumsy. Rockets have a tie breaker sure. But the 3 ties do not tell the full story just looking at it as a 2-1 record in their favour. We are pounding them game 1 at the oracle, 14 points ahead by quarter 3 and then Draymond gets injured and we lose by 1. Next time we play on their ground, KD and Harden are out, we win by 10. 3rd and final game (at their ground again) was the game they are playing us off the park and up by 17. 4th quarter comes and we are 3 points ahead. Curry makes 2 "somehow" decisions in passing to Klay at the 3 rather than KD for the easy deuce and Rockets make us pay for it. They see out that game through FTs and win by 7 or 8. So the tie-breakers are not enough to judge us against them. They are one injury away from not even making the 2nd round. If CP3 is out and they play Utah Jazz in the first round, they could lose. As for OKC, their length and Adams can worry us but they are a streaky team. Apart from game 1 where the reffing was just ediotic, game 2 they are hitting everything and deserve their win fully. That is my point. They will have 1 or 2 very good games in a 6 game series and can win us. But I cannot give them 4 of those games out of 7. They are not that consistent. I fear Portland because I have seen them keep up with good western teams even when CJ and Dame have bad games. |

DevdanSanguine: Some may say that I am celebrating too early but these people do not know that in addition to "the Greek god", "The adonis" and "the egghead", I am also known by my mates as "The Scion of Nostradamus". I am so happy I think I might even smile. Oooh what a beautiful day. I thought it would never come and I have to say writing this eulogy was one of the most difficult things I've had to do in recent days. After all how do I find the right words fitting of such a triumph? After all these gits have given me a dozen sleepless nights and the only thing that kept me going was dreams about this moment. Knowing that my enemies will be utterly vanquished. Seeing them burn in a ruthless inferno! Everything they've built crumbling into ashes! Ooh what a feeling indeed!
Too bad the warriors never became a dynasty. Too bad they never made it to 4 straight finals and too bad Curry will finish his career with 2 championships and no finals MVP. Too bad the serpent will finish his career with one tainted ring and thats all he ruined his legacy for.
And what about the cocky warriors fan base? Oooh if only I could see these people in person to see them shriek and shudder. What better satisfaction than seeing them eat their words? I reckon the lot of them are crying and looking for which bandwagon to jump on next, the soft ninnies.
And as I sit here in anticipation of the king basically dancing to his fourth ring I know that these are moments one must savour in life and that there is no better moment to open up a bottle of sparkling black currant juice than now.
It's over for you bums, I win, like I always do. |

MitrikDenholm: Fultz was a deserved first pick (unless he's damaged), saric is only 23 and is already looking promising + a pick. Worse trades have been made. Not too different from the trade that got PG to OKC.
When it comes to an organisation Vs a player I am inclined to side with the player, especially after what you lot did to IT and what the clippers did to Griffin. Granted the spurs are a more reputable organisation but I reckon he should take any precaution possible. If he's not feeling well enough and his personal doctors haven't cleared him to play then he shouldn't.
If he's trying to force a move to a bigger market then that's a different issue but barring pressure Kawhi doesn't strike me as that sort of player and unless it can indubitably (lol) be proven that that's the case I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Besides, why not just ask for a trade like Aldridge did or make his intentions clear. There are better ways of going about things than wasting a whole season of your prime.
That being said I also hope he remains with the spurs. This league needs the spurs in all their "fundamental" glory. Kawhi knows what CP3 did in not signing with SAS. Pop is going to retire soon and Kawhi does not want to be hedged to the franchise for that long without Pop. I think it is also playing into his psyche. Tony Parker had to call him out by saying that Tony’s own injury was way worse than Kawhi’s yet he recovered. It is all mental now as the player is unhappy. Even if Pop was to play the same trick on him, it is still there somewhere that the man will leave and kawhi might be left with a greenhorn coach. It is all speculation as it were but stranger things have happened. |
