craziebone: you said what you have said because you don't understand that institution, Polygamy.
In polygamy, he/she, although has another wife/husband, he/she is completely your wife/husband. In this way, the theory about christ and the church is still conserved.
That passage: "a man shall leave his...and two shall become one", is actually conserved in polygamy too. When you marry your other spouse, you are not a partial spouse, but a complete one. ALL THE LAWS, BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL, THAT ACCOMPANIES MARRIAGE, IS FULLY FULFILLED, ACCOMPLIED, RESPECTED, OBSERVED ETC. |

HopeAtHand: The governor sounded like he was using his almajiri population to threaten southerners with perpetual subordination. What he failed to understand is that Nigeria is a country of several nations and every interest must be protected. Once other tribes have the feel that Nigeria is detrimental to their individual wellbeing, a petition will be sent to the UN and by all means necessary the attention of the UN must be drawn for a referendum. The North will therefore end up playing a fast one on itself.
At this time and age, issues like a split-up arent resolved through violence but by legal mechanisms and frameworks. Nigeria is not a secret cult, anyone is free to leave. if the north is left alone ehh,the way they are going to crumble will be spectacular, they are just dragging we southerners down, imagine a governor boasting about illiterate population, Nigeria needs a revolution |

HopeAtHand: Im not interested in what you were, or what you had. Im very interested in the now and the future that lies ahead.
A northern governor boasted that the North had over 25million almajiri children and that is good enough to ensure the north is favoured in politics. He is myopic in thinking. 25million illiterate, mentally undeveloped persons is a burden on the north. One who thinks critically can see that clearly.
Those of us who believe we have nothing in common with the north either by language, religion or values are watching how the north is steadily transforming itself into one huge humanitarian crisis and will definitely jump ship and leave the north to attend to her self-inflicted problems.
The Niger Delta oil wether you like it or not belongs to the Niger delta aborigenes just as other mineral resources in the north belongs to northerners. The land use decree is the reason you can now argue with me. But do not bank on Nigeria being a single entity for long. Attend to your problems. You have a disaster waiting to happen. I have always felt that the north is keeping Nigeria backward through overpopulation of illetracy, but I don't often speak out not to sound offensive |

craziebone: polygamy is an independent ok! It being ok, has got nothing to do with what ever religion.
The reason i assume most people here are against it, is because most people i have seen who are against polygamy, are christians and they seem to always come from a christian point of view. The ones who want to pretend their opposition to polygamy is founded on knowledge, have their opposition strongly rooted in either christianity or feminism, which sees Polygamy as a patriarchal setting that puts power in the hands of men.
And yes, i still maintain that the bible or Jesus never condemned polygamy. I ask anyone who disagrees, to open up the bible and show us where it is written. the allegory between a man marry one wife is built the relationship between Christ and the church, see Ephesians 5:29-33,in one way he was talking the Christ and the church at the same thing also explaining the bond that is suppose to be between a man and his wife, using both terms to explain other,Christ has just one church, the church doesn't mean a building or any particular institutional doctrine,it means every body from all countries, churches, place that believe in Christ and live by his grace ,u must have also heard about the marriage between Christ and his bride in the book of revelations.in genesis u know the commandment given to man about marry was one man one woman,u may say that a lot of old testament folks were polygamous, yes they were because after the fall of man the coming of Christ was the next step taken and this was fulfilled through isreal.it was Christ that restored that rule through the establishedment of the church.Ephesians 5:31-for this cause shall a man leaves his fathers house and shall be jion into his wife and they shall become one flesh |

craziebone: People feel they can comment on topics they know nothing about.
I wonder what is their business in this issue. Is the lady herself complaining? Are his other wives complaining? Are you going to be the one to take care of their children? And who says christianity condemns polygamy? You guys claim other people are brain washed but you are even the most brainwashed of all kinds of people i've ever met. You watch Nollywood and see how polygamy is portrayed in it, but you just cannot use your head to think for yourselves just one moment. are we talking about Christianity here, and by the yes It condemns it.but the man in question is a Muslim so it is right, and hr has the resource to train his kids unlike the load of poor jackass that gives birth to many children without money to feed them |

BarcaBlood: Luis Enrique's 99 matches as FC Barcelona manager
This Sunday’s match against Levante will be Luis Enrique’s 100th as manager of FC Barcelona, and the Asturian has the chances to equal the unbeaten record set by the team of 2010/11. The recent cup semi-final win over Valencia equaled the record set by Rinus Michels’ men and are now within touching distance of the 28 unbeaten matches by Pep Guardiola’s side.
This is not the only record of note by the former Celta Vigo boss in his time with the Catalans. By winning La Liga, Copa del Rey, Champions League, Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup, last season’s team won five of the six available titles.
Luis Enrique has a more than impressive record; 79 wins, eleven draws and nine defeats in which Barça have scored 280 and let in 72.

[img] alcmene: President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday revealed that the Structural Adjustment Programme, SAP, by onetime military President, Ibrahim Badamosi Babagida, IBB, killed the naira.
Speaking with the BBC, Buhari traced the origin of some of the problems facing the country’s currency to IBB’s regime.
IBB had in 1986 and 1988 instituted SAP which is said to have been responsible for the downward trend of the naira.
” I went through the devalue in 1984, its SAP that killed the naira,
“I have asked the Governor of Central Bank and others to sit and see if they can convince me to murder the naira,” Buhari said.
IBB had in 1986 and 1988 instituted SAP which is said to have been responsible for the downward trend of the naira.
SAP is a loan provided by the International Monetary Fund, IMF, and the World Bank to countries facing economic turmoil.

johnydon22: Now this is the difference... we have evidence of hydrogen, where is this creator any evidence? None..
So it falls on assumption to assert it... my question is where did all THESE elements or whatever form them came from.can time have no beginning, note the opposite of your logic explaination of everything came out from nothing, every elements came from somewhere, where they came from also originated from something,we can go on and on and on and ON,something must start another thing, the only logical explanation will be the universe is eternal, but that person is going to have a hell of answering from ME.what about cause and effect?u ask for proof of a creator?,really these words "every single thing that is in existence came or was started from somewhere"are not dumb u know, just my simple logic,I have an open mind and can consider anything as long as it does not defy my logic,ur inability to tell me that even the first object to have existed came from NOTHING, is my proof that the first object in existence came from SOMETHING,that my friend is my idea of God. |

johnydon22: Oh i do not know where the hydrogen came from, oxygen molecules on the other are heavier elements formed in star core ...
So that we do not know where the hydrogen molecules came from doesn't mean a humanoid did it, it means we don't ..
Areas where we lack knowledge doesn't call to be filled by assumptions... all this "humaniod" talk, just like I don't know who created the creator,I have no clue of where he stays, these are the areas that I lack knowledge concerning the creator,so I cannot also assumed that he does not exist, so u also have no clue about the origin of hydrogen, oxygen, carbon and other core elements that make the universe |
Science/Technology › Re: 10 Most Strange Stars (known) In The Observable Universe.. by erusen: 9:54pm On Feb 03, 2016 |
johnydon22: Its not luck... It is result of interacting values.. It is not luck that if 2hydrogen molecules reacts with 1 oxygen molecule the result is water..
what we see is the result of chaotic reactions ..
If you need to assume a humanoid creator for that then you will need to conjure up another creator to explain the existence of that creator or is it just luck too?..
and where did the hydrogen and water molecules come from assuming I buy into your theory or let's consider this, can the universe be eternal? |
Science/Technology › Re: 10 Most Strange Stars (known) In The Observable Universe.. by erusen: 8:42pm On Feb 03, 2016 |
wonderful, but the most shocking is that scientists will attribute all this this to luck rather than the work of a creator |
