PoliticsRe: Petrol To Hit ₦1,000/litre As Crude Crosses $70 — Marketers by esemes256: 7:28am On Feb 01
If crude oil price rises by 3 to 4%, shouldn't the price of petrol also rise by only 3 to 4%?
Why is petrol price rising by about 14% for a 3% rise in crude oil price?
Why are prices so easy to rise but slow to drop down?

How do football fans cope in Morocco?
Their female team lost final to Nigeria, now their male team has lost final to Senegal.

I am not a mind reader but I suspect Brahim purposely meant to give that penalty away because of the controversy surrounding the penalty.
He probably wants the game to end decisively.

Are we watching the same game?

It's a penalty. But I understand the ref could have overlooked it given the timing
If Brahim did not strongly protest, the foul could have been overlooked by the VAR.
The officiating in this tournament has not been stellar.
I recall how a player kicked the ball in anger after the ref has blown his whistle and the player did not receive a yellow card.

I think Morocco is slightly more likely to win this game because they have an excellent fighting spirit. That is the same spirit that helped Greece win the European Cup many years ago.

PoliticsRe: We Are Not Against Dangote Refinery - Oil Marketers by esemes256: 2:43pm On Aug 01, 2025
1mansolder:
It is very wrong for dangote to produce the product and at the same time sell to end users. The game is that independent marketers are supposed to load directly from dangote refinery to their various stations instead of dangote delivery it directly. If dangote is allowed to own refinery and at the same time operate filling station. It will kill other people business.
At the end of the day, the only way you can guarantee lower prices for consumers is by cutting out the middle man. AliExpress, Costco, Bokku, etc are able to offer lower prices by doing so. Mind you, some players are already working to build their own refinery. So competition will always be there. Dangote has a head start but others will definitely catch up.

The nation you come from matters a lot in determining how the rest of the world treats you.

Nigerians really need to rise above ethnic sentiments and fight for Nigeria to have refined leaders to help rebuild the image of Nigeria globally cos as it is today, Nigeria's image is abysmally poor, all thanks to failed leadership angry
The English teams don't want to pay well but some of them will feature in the glorious champions league

The Saudi teams want to pay well but will not feature in the glorious champions league

Galatasaray want to pay well and will feature in the glorious champions league. In galatasaray, he gets the best of both worlds. Do you understand?

Nothing tactician about the man abi coach, person wey just dey look the girls like beans even when they were making blinders ,he was just been lucky the were still having great energy on the second half, and the Morocco girls were too taya to mark in d second half..
A good coach achieves great things with seemingly average players.
Its not the tactics that matters, it is the consistent results that matter.

Few teams I see they have to do

1) Build some tough skin....I don't think they have played infront of a full stadium in this tournament... Especially when 80% of the crowd is your opposition cheering them to kill you

2) Work in there temperaments ...what happened the last time they met morocco...was sheer indiscipline and then failing to control emotions

3) Physicality will need to be watched against Morocco and they need to play more with the ball ...anyone who is in pal with African Football will know north Africans use there frail physical attributes to get fouls...the falcon girls are tough but against this team the toughness might get them in trouble. ...causing fouls close to the box ....in the box and other dangerous regions carelessly could lead to Doom...hence ,they need to be clinical in their tackle and win the ball rather take the ladies down ...

4) They will need to take their chances....they will need other approach asides the long ball thing they seem to be good at...cos ,.the Moroccans are quite taller too ..not like the south Africans

5) The Moroccan are quite technical and will put the balls behind them.... the center back will need help from the midfielders....our center backs are very physical but there aren't fast and not so proactive to moments....south Africans exposed that from the ball leading to penalties

Hopefully they can win...Good luck to them

5) If the can
If you have watched some of the games, you will know that the Nigerian fans are some of the loudest in the world and the Moroccans fans don't seem to be into shouting alot or making alot of Noise. Despite the Moroccans being at home, you will still end up hearing the loud sounds of the Nigerian fans

But there is a way champions always win!
Every team have their strengths and weaknesses. Nigeria has some serious strengths in their team that is why they have dominated the African game over the years.
Even England struggled to beat Nigeria via penalties during the last World Cup.

I'll prefer us to play Ghana in the finals than Morocco. I hate it when we play the host in a final match. Cos the crowd and referee would be against us.
I hate this coward mentality. Bring any team in Africa, Nigeria will beat them! Stop looking to play the weak. Beat the strong and take the crown. That is what victors do.

They are doing exactly what the Europeans did and still do to lure the best talents from African and South American leagues. Now, the Saudis are exploring the same route. It's going to work sooner or later.
Sometimes I wonder if these clubs get subsidy from their government or if this money is coming purely from private investors.
SportsRe: Saudi Arabia Prepares Massive £864m [€1bn] Contract For Vinicius Jnr by esemes256: 9:47am On Jul 18, 2025
Saudi Arabia is trying to drive some attention to their league. And they don't mind spending big to achieve it.
If think about it, they are making steady progress. Their club did commendably well at the club World Cup.
A time might come when we will start watching the Saudi pro league on DSTV. And they will also attract the advertisement money.

HealthRe: Microsoft AI Can Now Diagnose Illness 4 Times More Accurately Than Human Doctors by esemes256: 9:56am On Jul 06, 2025
aribisala0:
That is not why
Many blood tests are routine . Not necessarily serving a diagnostic purpose but to record markers about the health status in general e.g nutritional status

Doctors should listen to patients

Many conditions develop slowly and the story may change over time as the disease progresses
doctors should understand that this may lead to inconsistent history
It is wrong to assume that medicine has evolved to a point where is has all or even most of the answers

There is so much that is still unknown

There is no blood test for a stroke , Parkinson's disease for ADHD,Epilepsy Schizophrenia Multiple Sclerosis to name a few. Not even for asthma

Many of these conditions for which there is no blood test tend to affect the brain or nervous system and interestingly sometimes respond t miracle cures or prayers allegedly

This is important to highlight the point that disease and or suffering can be in the mind and can be healed from the mind. The fact that it is in the mind does not mean it is not real or that patients should not be listened to

Human beings are not like Cars that respond to purely physical interventions

Blood tests are useful but limited so many things don't show on blood tests and or a blood test does not even exist

Stress is real and psychological distress can cause real physical problems like rashes, paralysis, Erectile dysfunction headaches , hypertension arthritis and so on

These are things that psychiatrists understand and manage
Well I did not say doctors should not listen to their patients. Offcourse they should listen to them. What I am saying is that doctors should get additional information via blood tests, scans, etc to confirm what their patients say before arriving at a diagnosis. They shouldn't rely solely on what the patients say. That is the key point.

A good doctor should know when to request for additional tests, scans, etc to rule out other conditions and to aid in arriving at an accurate diagnosis.
