Unless you are a mafia, or have no qualms with illegalities (example Chinese companies), investing millions of dollars in Nigeria can be gut wrenching. You stand to make huge profits oO, but... Congo DR has some of the most precious metals on earth, including rare earth metals. There are huge rewards to be gained despite the risks in the country. That is a possible explanation. |

seunlayi: This Iranu people seems to be ready for the destruction that will be on Tehran. Isreal retaliation to breaking the peace initiative will be too bad for Tehran. Let's see if shoots from airplane soaring on Iran air will do more damage or it is the indiscriminate missiles firing that does the job better?
Oh! We forgot, communication in Iran is in blackout, maybe the zombies stationed at the launchers are still working on the last order of yesterday. Communication blackout. Exactly what I was thinking. I hope DT can quickly call Israel not to respond. Thankfully, the two missiles were intercepted. War is bad for everyone. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Bombardment, Strikes, Deaths In Third Day Of Fierce Israel-iran Conflict by esemes256: 10:44pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
ErebeOcoco: When a ballistic missile is launched from Isfahan, Iran, toward Israel, it encounters some of the strongest and most advanced defense layers in the world.
First, it faces the American forces stationed in Iraq, French Rafale fighter jets deployed in the UAE (with Saudi Arabia allowing them to use its airspace), and American aircraft carriers like the USS Carl Vinson and cutting-edge missile destroyers patrolling the Gulf.
If the missile manages to get past all of these defenses, it then faces the Jordanian Air Force, American troops based in Jordan, and British Royal Air Force Typhoon and F-35 fighter jets flying from Cyprus.
After all this, Israel’s air defense system Arrow-3 attempts to intercept the missile from as far as 2,000 kilometers away—while it is still in space. If that fails, the Arrow-2 missile system tries to shoot it down while it is re-entering the atmosphere, between 1,500 and 500 kilometers from its target.
If the missile evades these as well, the David’s Sling system chases it from a range of 300 kilometers down to 40 kilometers.
If it still survives, then finally it faces the Iron Dome, which attempts to intercept it within a range of 70 to 4 kilometers.
Think about it—does any other country’s missile in the world face so many obstacles and layers of security before reaching its target?
And the noteworthy part is that these Iranian ballistic missiles are entirely indigenously developed, while stopping them requires the use of the most advanced and expensive technologies from the U.S., France, the U.K., and Israel.
Despite such immense and complex defenses, Iranian missiles still sometimes manage to permeate through and hit their targets.
And this is considered Iran’s biggest success in this war. Ballastic missiles do not travel like aeroplanes, jets or cruise missiles. Ballistic missiles travel in a curved path called a ballistic trajectory. They launch vertically using rocket engines (boost phase), then coast through space (midcourse phase), and finally reenter the atmosphere, falling toward their target (terminal phase). Their flight is mostly unpowered after launch, and they rely on gravity to hit their target. So don't mistake them for cruise missiles. They are not travelling through territories or countries |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Residents Flee Tehran After Israeli Strikes Hit Across Capital(photos) by esemes256: 10:26pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
TONYE001: We should all understand something here. In war, all fighting sides take hits. Israel must have expected these bombardments. I mean, even the most foolish nation will make efforts to fight back.
Now, what's the war objective of Iran? Bombard Israel? Is that all? If yes, then it's pretty weak. Cities can be rebuilt, just a matter of time. But the lives of those high-end officers and scientists? Naaaahhh.
Israel's objectives are clear, and they are achieving it efficiently. Iran will continue sending bombs to Israel, some of those bombs will be intercepted, others will hit.
But Israel appears to be targeting personnel, skilled personnel that once removed, will take years to train others to such level of competence. Again, newbies will even be scared to climb up.
Now let's talk reality: this war isn't some Arsenal-Man U discussion. Lives and properties are lost. Families are destroyed. Means of livelihoods destroyed.
World leaders should learn to explore peaceful options. We must learn to live together..whether Christian or Muslim.
Otherwise, the world our forefathers handed to us will be destroyed....and we'll have nothing to hand to our children, grandchildren, and other descendants. Serious words of wisdom in the last three paragraphs of this post. |

Empresa: Without any disrespect, Osimhen is better off in less competitive leagues where he will be king not EPL. He can't bag 20 goals in EPL alone back to back. A true top striker should not be afraid of any league. You get better by taking challenges head on. For me, Osimhen doesn't play fancy game. However, He knows how to score goals and that is the most important thing any club needs a striker to do. If Osimhen goes to any club where he gets good supply of chances, he will do excellently well. |

Love800: All these ones are not records na!
African players with fear of always facing challenges!
If osimhen really wants to become a great player, let him move to the big fives(5s) leagues. And he should leave a lasting legacy there, not winning highest goal scorer and Italian cup after one season and ran away! The Italian and French leagues are big leagues and he has already proven himself there. If he goes to Germany or Spain, he will still come out among the top scorers. For me, Osimhen knows his assignment on the pitch and he does it excellently well. Just score goals. |

TOPCRUISE: Maybe next season. For now it’s either Salah or Hakimi. When considering African footballer of the year, you have to factor in the contribution of the player to the Country football during the year under review. How does Osimhen compare with Salah in the games played by Nigeria and Egypt respectively. Hakimi is good too. I think this year's African footballer of the year will be very close. Come to think of it, an African player might just win the world footballer of the year this time around. |

Toyota corolla 2005 - 2008 (toks) with some remaining change Toyota Camry 2005 - 2007 (toks) with some remaining change Toyota Corolla 2009 - 2013 (Very clean Nigerian Used) Toyota Camry 2011 (Very clean Nigerian Used) (I recommend the V6) Toyota Camry 2014 (clean Nigerian used plus Abeg) Toyota Highlander 2008 to 2011 (good Nigerian Used) There are other very good car brands too like Honda and maybe some Hyundai.
It all depends on what you want in a car. Fuel economy, reliability, ground clearance, etc.
For a first car buyer, I recommend buying a very reliable car with good fuel economy. |

Car Talk › Re: How Hackers Can Steal Your Car With Phone Camera, Expert Warns by esemes256: 2:54pm On Dec 31, 2024 |
True, some professionals can use the VIN number of a car to get the vehicle's key code which can be used to create a duplicate key. However, for modern cars, that key still needs to be programmed before it can start the car. So you will also need to capture the signal from the original key in order to program a new key. If you are driving a very old car that doesn't have modern security features, your car can be easily stolen. For modern cars, if them mean you well, they can still steal your car too. Watch where you park and invest in a car tracker, especially if your car costs more than 5 million naira. |
