I recently got a job offer from grooming centre in benin city. grooming centre is a micro finance institution with a mission to help d active poor in d Nigerian society. head office is at 3, Tina Chris street, Ejigbo Lagos. but if u stay close to any centre, jst go drop ur cv, u might jst b lucky. for pips in benin, their office is@ union homes after uyi technical new Lagos road. good morning fellow nairalanders. I will just go straight to the point. I went for an interview yesterday, well expect the usual crowd mixup of guys and babes. everybody looked cool in their corporate outfit and ofcourse d ladies identified very well. when d oral interview began cos it was Done in a school like fashion. Men come see the way my ladies dey fall our hand. some ladies including some guys could not even put up constructive sentences. I was totally impressed with one lady cos she really was good but the majority of them were total fiasco. pls advice to our ladies, stop spending all ur time on fashion and movies, read more for knowledge sakes. thanks.

Neni90: The worst fear most unhappy workers have is the fear of resigning! I used to work at a real estate company as a business development exec. Where I was also being paid peanuts (farmer salary). The system didn't work out for me so much that I started getting demotivated, I didn't forsee any growth opportunities for me there and one particular day when I couldn't handle it any more, I handed over my resignation letter. Thank God for his mercies and of course my plan B which was a long list of goals I had written down before I thought of resigning.. I left my previous company in June, and came back home as a jobless and die hard job hunter.
I started visitng the nairaland forum daily, and of course I mean day and night. Luckily for me I found one random company advert on the forum, no one had commentend on it and it was quite heard I had never heard about the company for once in my life.. Little did I know this company actually existed and funnily it was one big multinational company when I googled them! I applied in july and it almost felt like a long wait cos they called me in for interview in the middle of August... And now I am an official employee of the company. From june to september , that was how long I waited till I landed my dream job and I feel like I have just achieved my first goal.. God has been so faithful to me during my tough period cos I barely had much savings to see me through the period of my job hunt.. And as a catholic, I relied so much on holycommunion and my divine mercy prayers of 9days.. Luckily for me on the 6th days at the hour of 3pm which is the time when the prayer is being said, that was I got the call from the general manager that I was suCcessful... That day remains the begining of my journery to more goals ahead.

The moral lesson of the story is that as job seekers, we tend to over look some job ads simply becos we don't know about the company or their existence, the best thing to do in such cases, is make google your friend and be a risk taker. You never can tell where ur luck hides.. Now I can proudly say I earn a 6figure salary with an official car compared to my former company when I was earning just a meagre 5figured salary with my leggediz benz under the daily sun lol...

God is truly great, he listens to his faithful children and never abandons them when they call..

Barely 2 weeks before the incident, I created this topic to help our Job seekers to write a compelling CV that will greatly attract the attention of a potential employer/recruiter and give the applicant the best possible chance of securing an interview.

To complement the article, I promised to write free standard CVs for the first two people that will send their requests. Many people requested for the service and I delivered as promised, of which the recipients were delighted and positively reviewed the service on the comments section. I've done jobs nt as high paying as this in these last couple of months. mind u d job pays 50k monthly with some little bonus if I travel out of town. I jst felt sorry for d other guy cos he begged for about 4 days.

last week Sunday after church I got a call frm a member as well dat I shld come see him. we met & he told me he has a driving job for me, as I am currently unemployed I decided to take it. Few days later he called me dat dey had given d job initially to a relative of theirs & d guy had turned it down & dat is y I was called, and d guy has come begging for d job back. It got to d point dat their mother had to come talk to me. After 2 days I went back and gave them the car key as well as ask them to call d first guy. Pls house was I wrong in giving the job back to the first guy? ur views are welcome.
