There's a cultural gap between the way an average igboman sees these things and the way other majority ethnic groups in Nigeria see these things.
These guys from North and the West are monarchical and feudalistic in thier thinking.
They seem to think that somehow, other parts of Nigeria are like that. They are victims of their slavish culture in which emirs and Obas have been so deified that they're now "human gods" so to speak... They don't bow to take orders from their rulers, they even lie on the floor..

So when they hear you talk about Nnamdi Kanu or Odumuegwu Ojukwu, they start to think that these characters are commanding igbo youths right left and center and just like them, the igbo youths are following like some zombies! That's why over and over again, they keep reminding you of how Ojukwu married off Bianca and enjoyed himself while Nnamdi Kanu is living lavish in obodo Oyibo. .. They want to rile you up against these "mere mortals" you revere..

They don't understand that these guys are just leading one of the biggest popular uprisings in black history! Ojukwu could have been killed if he refused to lead the breakaway of Biafra! If today Nnamdi Kanu decides to run away from leading Biafra, he would be treated like one Uwazuruike, who has been left to wallow in self pity as his power and influence dwindle under the consequences of his disloyalty to the cause..
They don't get it and may never get it , because they're victims if their own restrictive culture of the "Lord's and the serfs"..
