What you will build:

Real deliverables. Not just theory.

A staff leave request app that your whole team can use from their phones, connected to SharePoint, with automatic manager approval via email

A customer inquiry notification flow that sends personalized acknowledgements within 60 seconds of every form submission; automatically, around the clock

A sales follow-up automation that identifies leads needing follow-up and sends personalized emails after a delay, without a salesperson lifting a finger

A complete sales performance dashboard with KPI cards, trend lines, branch comparisons, staff performance tables, and interactive slicers replacing a weekly manual Excel report

A full three-tool solution architecture for a Lagos distribution company, with a client presentation framework you can adapt and use immediately.

Common questions:

Before you buy

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Power Platform is a low-code and no-code platform. Every activity in this guide can be completed without writing a single line of traditional code. You will use formulas in Power Apps (similar to Excel formulas) but nothing that requires a programming background.

What Microsoft license do I need?

A Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Standard, or Premium account covers most of what is taught in this guide. Power BI Desktop is completely free to download. If you do not have a work Microsoft 365 account, you can sign up for a free Power Apps Developer Plan at powerapps.com/developerplan to follow along.

How is the guide delivered?

After payment, you receive an instant download link for the complete guide as a PDF file. The PDF works on any device: phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. No app required.

I am already an IT professional. Is this guide too basic for me?

The early chapters are designed for beginners, but Chapters 2, 5, 6, and 7 contain content that is valuable even for experienced IT professionals, particularly the environments and security roles chapter, the full business case study, and the income strategy chapter.

Most IT professionals in Africa have never packaged their skills for freelance income. Chapter 7 addresses this directly.

If you are a fresh grad, an IT support staff tired of just fixing printers, a career switcher, or you just want a high-paying tech skill without spending 6 months learning complex coding like Python or Java, gather here.

There is a massive gap in the Nigerian tech space right now that very few people are talking about: Microsoft Power Platform.

The Problem in Naija Businesses Today
Walk into almost any SME or corporate office in Nigeria today. How do they operate?

Staff request leave via WhatsApp messages.

Operations managers spend 5 hours every Friday manually compiling Excel reports.

Client onboarding is done using printed paper that gets lost.

Meanwhile, 80% of these companies are already paying for Microsoft 365. What they don’t know is that their subscription already includes tools to build custom mobile apps (Power Apps), automate their WhatsApp/Email workflows (Power Automate), and build real-time dashboards (Power BI).

They just need someone to switch it on and build it for them. That person can be you.

The Opportunity
Microsoft estimates a global shortage of 4 million low-code developers. In Nigeria, the shortage is even worse. If you know how to use these tools, you can easily charge local clients between ₦80,000 to ₦250,000 just to build a simple Staff Leave Request App or a Sales Follow-Up automation that takes you exactly one weekend to build.

I Wrote a Complete Guide to Help You Start
Because of how many people ask me how to get into this space, I documented everything into a highly practical book: The Power Platform Beginner Kit (Nigerian Edition).

This isn’t one of those books filled with boring theory. It is 100% practical. By the time you finish it this weekend, you will have practically built:

A functional Staff Leave Request App on your phone.

A Customer Inquiry Automation that replies to clients instantly while you sleep.

A complete Power BI Sales Dashboard (I used a real Lagos logistics company as a case study).

It also includes the exact Nigerian Freelance Rate Card, so you know how much to charge, and how to position yourself on LinkedIn and Upwork (to earn in Dollars).

Stop waiting for a lucky break. The tech skills that pay the most right now are the ones that save business owners time and money.
