Family / Re: She Needs A Baby, Hubby Says It's Not A Necessity by esosaidow: 4:46pm On Jul 26, 2011 |
It's obvious your friend's husband has something up his sleeve. A typical Nigerian man of 42yrs must be highly interested in baby-making. Doesn't he consider the wife's age and the attendant risk of late child bearing? If the wife has never conceived once since 4yrs of marriage am afraid the guy may have fertility (or is it sterility) issues or has deliberately done some kind of family planning. It's also possible he has another wife and child/ren elsewhere. If I were that wife, I would just put it to him one day that I missed my period and watch his reaction. If he's not excited and acts as if he doesn't believe me then I'd know I've been trapped and inform his parents. i like that approach, but really they need to talk abt it. The man should let her know when he wld love to have children if its when hes 70 etc, if shes not ok wt his timg she shld make him understand dat in relationships couples have to make sacrifices. Shes a woman. Child bearing at a later age is wt alot of risks, even to her life. If he loves her this is 1 area i think he shld show some sensitivity. If hes still adamant on her not havg any babies anytime sooon, ehn |

Ingredients: • 1 cup sifted cake flour • 1 teaspoon baking powder • 1/4 teaspoon salt • 3 eggs • 1 cup sugar • 2 teaspoons lemon juice • 6 tablespoons hot milk Preparation: Sift flour once, then measure. Add baking powder and salt to the flour and sift together 3 times. In a mixing bowl beat eggs for about 5 minutes, until very thick and light yellow in color. Add sugar gradually, beating constantly. Add lemon juice. Fold in flour mixture a little at a time. Add milk, mixing quickly and blending thoroughly. Pour into an ungreased 9-inch tube cake pan. Bake at 350° for about 35 minutes, or until top springs back when touched lightly with finger. Remove from oven and invert pan for 1 hour, or until completely cooled. |

Food / Baking Ovens by esosaidow: 4:46pm On Jun 23, 2011 |
Hi every1, I appreciate all the wonderful contributions on the various topics raised. I am a small time caterer hoping to grow big someday, I would however need some advice in buying an oven. 1. Are the locally made ovens as good as the imported ones, 2. Whats the advantage of the imported ones over the locally made ones. Thanks. |
