299: Dr.., i've had many dental problems over the past few years ,and last year, i was told by a doctor that i've got sinusitis. Please is it possible for the sinuses to have been blocked as a result of the many dental problems i've had

domack99: I have issue with this, i once have bleeding gum, apart from visiting the dentist every two months, i also brush my teeth atleast three times a day with close-up, sensodyne just name it. After several research on the internet i started using Forever gel tooth paste and OraMD. Those two contains no flouride content. I also found out that some countries, have actually stop the addition of flouride to tooth paste and also water supply.

ok, I want u to know amma qualified dentist. Brushing with a toothpaste with no fluoride do u little or no good. The countries that stopped adding fluoride to toothpase and water found that its not neccessary cos they have fluoride in most oof their basic food up to drinks, snacks etc anytin,even can found it in their air (exageratn) and excess of fluoride is more dangerous than none at all, that's why thtopped adding it to toothpaste and waTer. In nigeria, fluoride is like gold and d only few places u can get it is toothpaste n water. Be wise

it removes stains from tooth and inside d gum thatbrushing can't remove. This stains r responsible for premature tooth loss. Can b as cheap as 5k and as expensiv as 20k dependin on d hospital

they are all artificial teeth, just that they are stronger than each other. Implant is as strong as yo normal teeth while denture is porcelain made(weakest)

teeth whitening is recommended when the colur of yo teeth is aesthetically noot pleasing. Its a very good idea if u r doing it cos of dis as d advantage outweigh any probable disadvantage.

if you r not diabetic, probably u use toothpick (use dental floss instead) or u use a hardbrush(instead of medium textured). Well get yosef checked. U probably need a procedure called deep curretage

SPIFF: My 5+ boy is growing another row of set of teeth behind the previous ones he had. Though I know they are still milk teeth. will such be repeated if he starts growing the normal teeth. Do we ignore the fear or visit a dental center if there's anything that could be done.

No matter how much antiseptic u use, your mouth become colonised with bacteria again immediately after few mins, its fluoride that offers the neccessary resistance a tooth need against dis bacteria. Since u can't acheive a bacteria free mouth, we need a strong healthy teeth with fluoride to combat d relativelY constant bacterial environment in mouth. Antiseptic pastes r only reccomended as addition in some conditions not as substitutes

if the hole is small and the remaining tooth substance is substancial enof to retain a filling, then a root canal therapy must be done to remove source of pain first followed by filling. If the hole is big and tooth structure compromised, filling will not stay and extraction is absolutely indicated.
