Look on d oil cap, there's a guage on d inside. D first sign ur oil is due for change is if it's black. U were supposed to empty d previous oil before filling in d new one

First things first, are u asking to change oil becos it is due for servicing or u want to change oil becos of d sound? If d sound of d gen has changed den U need to take it in for servicing (carburator and plug cleansing and den oil change). If d gen shorts oil(burns up d oil) den U also need to take it in for servicing. So long as d sound has been affected I'll advice u take it in for servicing except U know how to dismantle and reassemble ur gen
