Business / Re: Can Anyone Help Me With Where To Find The Legal QNET Office In Nigeria? by Ethelokoro: 12:25am On Apr 16
I came across an article on the web. It shows that QNET operates through its partner Transblue in Nigeria. So it's best to reach out to Transblue. I think they have offices in Abuja and Lagos.

Health / How I Stayed Mindful Of My Eating Habits During The Holidays by Ethelokoro: 4:27pm On Jan 18
As we embrace the new year, let's embark on a journey to cultivate healthy habits contributing to a vibrant and fulfilling lifestyle in 2024. The holidays often bring many delicious treats and feasts, and being mindful of our eating habits can contribute to a more balanced and enjoyable experience. Instead of succumbing to the usual holiday excess, I started by planning balanced meals. This involved incorporating various nutrient-rich foods, including many fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Planning helped me maintain a sense of control over my choices. I consciously tried to savour each bite during festive gatherings. I slowed down, appreciated the flavours, and listened to my body's hunger and fullness cues. This not only made the eating experience more enjoyable but also prevented overeating.

While enjoying holiday treats is a tradition, I balanced them with nutrient-dense options and my all-time favourite QNET Nutriplus product. These are dietary supplements that are rich in natural ingredients. I also opted for colourful salads and lean proteins to ensure my body received the essential nutrients it needed. Snacking can be a downfall during the holidays, but I approached it mindfully this year. I prepared healthy snacks in advance, such as cut-up fruit and yoghurt, to have on hand when cravings struck. This helped me make better choices throughout the day. Mostly, staying hydrated was a key focus. This not only supported digestion but also helped prevent mistaking thirst for hunger.

As we enter the new year, I'd love to hear about your experiences with mindful eating during the holidays. Share your tips, challenges, and successes in the comments below.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Qi Group Of Companies by Ethelokoro: 7:30pm On Nov 29, 2023
I understand your concerns, but it's worth noting that QNET is a legit lifestyle and wellness-focused direct-selling company and a subsidiary under the QI group, which has been around globally for 25 years.

As for paying 750k for a visa? That's not how QNET operates. They're into direct selling, not visa processing. If anyone asks for upfront payments unrelated to product purchases, it's a red flag.

Sorry to hear about bad experiences, though. If you've got questions or concerns, reach out to QNET directly through their website, qnet.net. Let's make sure we're basing opinions on the facts.

greatseo:
Please dont go near there, they will scam you
this is the people that scammed innocent nigerians with QNET, it is the same company that they have changed it's name to QI now.
they wil ask you to pay 750k for visa, balabala and keep you in an hotel till your eyes go open.

Events / Planning Corporate Events by Ethelokoro: 5:27pm On Nov 07, 2023
I have been privileged to plan corporate events in recent times, and believe me, though they might not be as extravagant as other events might be, they require as much planning and have some key considerations. Here are some tips I have learned so far:

1. Define Clear Objectives: Start by identifying the goals and purpose of the event.

2. Budget Allocation: Determine a realistic budget, allocating resources for venue, catering, speakers, and any additional features or activities.

3. Selecting the Right Venue: Choose a venue that aligns with the event's objectives and accommodates the anticipated number of attendees comfortably.

4. Detailed Timeline: Create a comprehensive timeline with milestones, including deadlines for invitations, confirmations, and all logistical arrangements.

5. Effective Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and attendees.

6. Professional Presentations and Speakers: Curate a lineup of knowledgeable and engaging speakers or presenters who add value to the event.

7. Catering and Hospitality: Provide quality catering services that cater to diverse dietary needs, ensuring all attendees are comfortable and well-fed.

8. Engaging Activities: Incorporate interactive elements like workshops, networking sessions, or team-building exercises to keep participants engaged.

9. Tech and Audio-Visual Requirements: Ensure the event has the necessary technological infrastructure for presentations, live-streaming, or video conferencing.

10. Post-Event Evaluation: Gather feedback from attendees to understand what worked well and areas for improvement for future events.

Have you planned corporate events before? What strategies or tools have proven most effective for you?

Crime / Re: 5 Simple Reasons Why People Still Fall Victim To Job Scams. by Ethelokoro: 2:33pm On Sep 13, 2023
Right on point!

Sofiechidi:
Job scams are still rising, and this is due to the fact that people are still gullible to these scams, so it's crucial to stay vigilant! Here are 5 simple reasons why people continue to fall victim to these traps:

1. Desperation: When you're desperate for a job, scammers prey on your vulnerability. As hard as it sounds, remain patient and be cautious.

2. Lack of Research: The very first thing to do after receiving a job offer is to conduct diligent and thorough research on the said company. Failing to research the company and job offer can lead to disaster, so always investigate before committing.

3. Unrealistic Promises: If a job sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Case in point, a job offer promising a remuneration of thousands of dollars, immediate relocation to another country with accommodation and other necessities taken care of till you settle down is a perfect example. Scammers often lure victims with promises of high salaries and unreal benefits.

4. Poor Communication: This on its own is a raging red flag, as communication and how a message is being communicated is extremely important, as it sets a perception of the company to the public. Hence, when you receive a job offer, watch out for poor grammar, vague job descriptions, and inconsistent communication. Legitimate employers maintain professionalism.

5. Ignoring Red Flags: Trust your instincts. If something feels off or suspicious, it probably is. Don't ignore those red flags!

Stay safe, stay smart, and let's protect each other from job scams. Share your experiences and tips to help others! 🚫🕵️‍♂️💼 #JobScamAlert

Education / Business Management by Ethelokoro: 1:29pm On Jun 23, 2023
Whether you are a business owner or aspiring, one thing is certain - learning and developing business skills is essential. The more knowledge and skill are acquired, the easier managing a business becomes. Knowledge also helps entrepreneurs make intelligent decisions, motivate those around them and understand different, complex facets of business, even industries seemingly unrelated to direct selling.

I recently took a business management course on Qlearn, which has helped me learn how to become a more effective leader and drive results at all levels of an organisation. I've developed skills to help me identify challenges in my business, analyse them, and develop and implement the most effective solutions. From leadership and marketing to sales strategies and personal development, the business management course provides valuable insights and practical tips from industry experts. I’d advise every business owner to undertake this course to invest in themselves and develop their business management skills. Remember, knowledge is power.

Jokes Etc / Nigeria’s Top Comedians by Ethelokoro: 2:22pm On May 08, 2023
Nigeria has a lot of talent in the area of comedy. It's probably because it's always one problem or the other in this country, and we make fun of it just to cope with the wahala, lol. Whatever the reason is, we have really good comedians, starting from the OG’s like Ali Baba, I go dye, Klint the Drunk (GenZ’s won’t know these people), to Basketmouth, AY, Akpororo, Bovi, and the comedians/skitmakers like Josh2good, taooma, Sabinus, Sydneytalker, Layiwasabi, etc.

Each of these comedians have their unique sense of humor, but they all share a talent for making people laugh. They always address social issues and current events in their comedy, using jokes to shed light on important topics in an entertaining but thought-provoking way. Whether you're watching them perform live or catching them on TV or social media, Nigeria's top comedians are guaranteed to leave you in stitches.

Well, money can buy a lot of things, but not trust. I checked the QNET people page and read about some things they have been doing in Nigeria and I believe they have started building trust here. This is what their announcement on Channels tv read last night, read and judge for yourself

JustineUK:
People keep posting this and it might be true but it doesn't mean that they aren't a fraudulent company. Money can do anything and this qnet have money to even buy the press.

Business / What Is Direct Selling All About? by Ethelokoro: 9:33am On Mar 29, 2023
I’ve noticed that this direct selling business is slowly making its way in the country among entrepreneurs. I know it is a method of marketing and retailing goods and services directly to consumers in the comfort of their homes or any other location, but there is no physical office. Word-of-mouth referrals primarily drive such types of sales.

For example, if you sell clothes to your friends and family members, you are engaging in direct selling. The products can be anything from makeup to kitchen utensils or watches. Direct selling allows people to earn money by selling products they love, and it also benefits consumers by giving them access to unique and high-quality products. It's a great way to start your own business without investing much money upfront. Products sold through direct selling companies have unique features exclusive to the company and cannot be found in malls, supermarkets, or pharmacies. Many people worldwide directly sell as a full-time or extra income job.

AIT also aired it? Me I've been seeing it on channels tv before 7pm since Monday. If I see it tonight I'll take a picture and share too. I believe that the Qnet company are finally aware of the people using their name to offer fake jobs in Nigeria and their warning Nigerians to beware and report those scammers.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Where Does One Go In Lagos To Submit CV Physically by Ethelokoro: 4:41pm On Mar 15, 2023
Do people still submit CVs in person these days without reaching out to the company first and being invited for an interview?
I suggest you select companies you'd like to work for, send an email and attach your cv. If they have an opening, great, apply for the position so you're direct. Then if your email is replied to, and you're invited for an interview, go for it with your cv.
A lot of things are done digitally these days. Don't stress yourself for nothing.

As the topic says
I recently passed out from NYSC and also new in lag

Please how does one go about submitting Cv in lag
I am also doing the online application

But i am thinking if i go direct to companies it wont be sad
Politics / Re: I Rejected Bode George As A Godfather & He Endorsed Rhodes-Vivour - Jandor by Ethelokoro: 4:37pm On Mar 15, 2023
Abeg abeg abeg, lol.
The kind of strategies these politicians use.
So if true true, Jandor had accepted Bode George as his Godfather, would he have mentioned it the way he did like a bad thing? But because he can see that it could discredit GRV, he's mentioning it.
nlfpmod:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx5snPDu0nU

I fought against godfatherism in APC, Lagos. My refusal of recognising Bode George as a godfather in the PDP is a major reason for his endorsement of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of LP against my candidature in the PDP - Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, PDP Governorship Candidate, Lagos
Politics / Re: Lagos Was Owned By The British For 99years- Rufai Shares Treaty Cession Document by Ethelokoro: 4:31pm On Mar 15, 2023
So technically, we can just say Lagos has colonial origins. I remember learning this in Nigerian History class.
The sad thing is that a lot of people won't agree with this.
Lagos just happens to be in the South-west region of Nigeria, but its not the land of the Yoruba; its a border state. If you like call it Eko from now till tomorrow.

Iamgrey5:
This is Lagos island not Lagos State.

Just like Oyo state is different from Oyo town.

Enugu town is different from Enugu state

Lagos State is a Creation of the Nigerian military government.

By the way, there is nothing contentious in saying Lagos State is Yoruba land.

The whole of Nigeria once belonged to Royal Niger company as a private property. It doesn't mean there were no indigenous Hasuas in Kano or indigenous Igbos in Anambra at that time.
