RomanceRe: I'm Dating Two Women At The Same Time, How Can I Choose One? by Etiyin: 2:18pm On May 24
funnyDM:
You are at a point where delaying the decision is already becoming a decision on its own. Both women are asking you to meet their parents because they likely see the relationship as moving toward commitment. If you continue with both while unsure, the risk is that someone eventually gets deeply hurt — including you.
The confusion you feel is normal. Attraction, attachment, and compatibility are not always the same thing.
Here’s a practical way to think through it.

1. Stop asking, “Who do I love more?”
Instead ask:
Who gives me peace?
Who brings out discipline and purpose in me?
Who fits the kind of future I want in 5–10 years?
Who handles conflict maturely?
Who genuinely respects me?
Around who can I be fully honest?
If money became hard for two years, who would still stand well with me?
Which relationship feels stable instead of emotionally confusing?
Love alone is not enough for marriage. Stability, character, respect, and shared direction matter heavily.

2. Fear of making the wrong choice may actually mean you are avoiding pain
Part of your fear may not be “What if I choose wrong?” but also:
“What if I hurt one of them?”
“What if I lose someone valuable?”
“What if the one I leave later becomes more successful?”
“What if marriage changes everything?”
That fear can keep a man stuck between two lives for too long.
But maturity sometimes means accepting that clarity comes with sacrifice.

3. Observe who is truly compatible with your future
The nursing graduate and the polytechnic graduate may both be good women. But marriage is not a beauty contest or certificate competition.
Watch for:
Emotional maturity
Financial attitude
Respect during disagreements
Family values
Spiritual beliefs and lifestyle
Temperament
Loyalty
Ability to build with you
Ask yourself:
“If attraction reduced tomorrow, who would still make a strong life partner?”
That question reveals a lot.

4. Do not meet both parents if you already know you can only choose one
Meeting parents in many Nigerian families is seen as serious intention. If you are still uncertain, avoid giving both families strong expectations at the same time.
Instead:
Be honest with yourself first.
Take a short period to decide intentionally.
Reduce emotional juggling.
A man cannot think clearly while emotionally feeding two serious relationships equally.

5. Create a private comparison — not based on emotions alone
Take a notebook and divide it into sections:
Quality
Woman A
Woman B
Peace of mind

Trust

Respect

Communication

Shared future goals

Family compatibility

Emotional maturity

Supportiveness

Attraction

Ability to endure hardship together

Be brutally honest. Patterns will start appearing.

6. Ask yourself one uncomfortable question
If today both women suddenly disappeared from your life forever…
Which loss would truly break you the most — not because of ego, beauty, or benefits — but because you know that person genuinely fits your life?
Sometimes your heart already knows, but your fear keeps creating noise.

7. Once you decide, be clean and respectful
Do not keep one as a “backup option.” That creates long-term guilt and confusion.

When you decide:
Commit fully to one.
End the other relationship respectfully and clearly.

Avoid manipulation or false promises.
That is part of becoming serious in life.
You do not need a perfect choice. You need a wise, intentional, honest choice.

I completely disagree with this article. Japa is absolutely worth it. I made that decision in 2019 to move to the UK and I thank God every day for it.
People don’t understand the level of hardship in Nigeria - massive corruption, unemployment, insecurity, collapsed education and healthcare systems. I was earning ₦25,000 monthly as a teacher handling multiple subjects and class teacher duties. Millions of educated Nigerians face similar or worse. Now in the UK, I have constant electricity, functioning healthcare, security, rule of law and opportunities based on merit - not connections or ethnicity. Don’t let anyone discourage you from Japa if you have the means. If you have the opportunity to relocate - TAKE IT. Your future self will thank you

You can say this few years ago, but presently those politicians has hijacked everything. To tell you I am yet to see candidate who will come out and boost they get job on merit, all those we have been hearikg around are just fabricated lies. I used to believe there'll merit list until I was at a board selection screening three consecutive times, I gave up...
Please don’t discourage anyone. I got the NNDC foreign postgraduate scholarship without knowing anyone. The system might be corrupt, but there are definitely a few who still get it on merit. I used to think everything was based on connections, but I took a bold step and applied for the scholarship and the rest is history. If I hadn’t made that move, I would probably still be a teacher earning ₦27,000 a month and blaming the government for everything. To anyone who has been shortlisted for the test, give it your best because the universe always has a way of favouring those who put in their best effort.

Your premise differs from mine. My point is about the country in question, not the language they speak there. If the OP have permanent residency in lets say Norway, and UK, he will achieve more in Norway than the UK.

UK is just a third world country attached to London. Outside London (which is unaffordable anyway for a starter), UK is really broke. I am referring to the UK of today, 2024, not twenty years ago.

Go to reddit and youtube and see Brits complaining bitterly, and thousands moving away, even recent immigrants.

I understand the UK is one step ahead Nigeria, but if one has to choose, and if prosperity is non-negotiable, then UK should be off the table.

If you want me to paste painful statistics about present day UK, I will. Yes, it is that bad. UK should be off the table.
Please don't speak on things you don't know. My life in the UK is 100 times better than it was in Nigeria. There are numerous opportunities here. I often hear people look down on those who work as carers. I used to work as a carer to pay my tuition fees, but now I work in Tech as a Data Scientist. Don't discourage anyone who wants to come to the UK. The sky is big enough for everyone here, and you can achieve anything you set your sights on.

Hi friends, considering the recent shifts in the tech industry and layoffs, it's understandable to explore other sectors for job security. However, it's worth noting that IT has evolved significantly. Many companies are transitioning to cloud computing for data storage. Investing in cloud computing skills could be a strategic move to stay relevant in the IT field. It's a growing area with increasing demand. Keep updating your skills to stay ahead in the industry.

The area had only one available public borehole. I have said this before that the government purposely refuse to develop the nation. How will an area have only one borehole, there are some bad event that can be prevented if our government can do the needful. Imagine the said area having multiple boreholes that have little or do queue, it would’ve prevented such an unfortunate situation. I blame the government for all the evil things happening in the country. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

RomanceRe: My Experience Dating A Narcissistic Flirt by Etiyin: 6:00pm On Aug 28, 2023
Supreme145:
I've been dating my girlfriend for over 18 months now and it has been a bumpy ride. One major I issue I have had with her has been her relationship with other men. She spends a lot of time in my place and each time we have issues her one stop solution is to go out and see other guys.

In fact 90% of our issues have come from this same relations with other men. When I complain she makes it look like I am insecure and overly jealous. I have made it known to her that it's wrong to go on dates with other guys when you are in my place especially when we have issues. She would always insist that they are just friends.

She recently got a job close to my house so she had to move in though she's barely at home cos the work is a 8am to 8pm job. She insisted on the job cos she would be able to learn her desired skills while been paid though the pay is very poor.

She would come home and gist me about how guys have been asking her out in her work place and all. Yesterday she even showed a number that a guy wrote for her on a piece of paper and asked her to call him. We later had a minor disagreement cos I saw her sitting on the floor trying to burst a boil on her laps, she started scolding me that I shouldn't be starting at a woman's private part like that, I pointed out that she had panties on and I was just concerned cos I saw something that looked like a drop of blood on the tiles. This resulted in an argument so I just ignored her.

I later observed her copying out the number given to her on her phone amidst other giggles while chatting with other guys online. I overheard her talking to a guy she just met about him coming to pick her up today so she could follow him to church and then go to work from there. This is someone that have never attended church anytime she costs even though a Catholic church is just a stone throw from my house. I voiced out my displeasure and she said I had no right to interfere in her business since I was giving her attitude.

It rained this morning so she couldn't go to church as planned but I am worried that I am dating a terrible flirt and this is someone I am thinking of getting married to. I had to chat her up at work to complain but she still saw nothing wrong with her relationship with other male folks and told me that I am just being insecure and anytime we have issues she would still leave the house cos she can't stay in a house with someone giving her attitude.

I told her I would no longer continue with the relationship since she sees her attitude as normal and she dosen't give me peace of mind which every man craves for. She started guilt tripping me and talking plenty but I already made up my mind. I can't deal with am unrepentant flirt.

Do you guys think I am over reacting?

CareerRe: Why Cyber Security Is The Best Career Path In Tech. by Etiyin: 1:23pm On Jun 12, 2023
o123456789:
Cyber security is your best bet when it comes to choosing the best career path in technology.

When some people hear the word cyber security what comes into their mind is how to develop antivirus or firewall software and you must be a programmer before you can qualify for a job role in cyber security, but are these assumptions true? the answer is capital no. Cyber security is one of the easiest career to pursue in technology, you don't need a degree to work as a cyber security person, what you need is just the right skills, unlike other jobs in which without certificate you cannot work, no cyber security is not like that, infact despite no certificate is needed you cannot see a quack in cyber security that is working like in other sectors, it is self regulatory, your skills will speak for you, and you cannot be in cyber security and be poor.

ADVANTAGES OF CAREER IN CYBER SECURITY
1. Remote or physical job opportunities.
2. You can own your own business or be employed by organizations.
3. Start up your own business at a very small cost.
4. Earn big salaries.
5. Opportunity to work for multiple companies simultaneously.
6. Work with little or no knowledge of coding/programming.
7. You don't need a degree. Only your skill is needed.
8. You will be a respected hacker etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Cyber security have so many branches but I will give job description about two branches I love and I have also worked in for a long time. The two branches are (i)Bug bounty hunting, (ii)Cyber threat intelligence.

BUG BOUNTY HUNTING
This is the area of cyber security in which you work from anywhere in the world, and your job is to find how a computer, website, database, CCTV, iot etc, can be hacked or manipulated for fraud and you are paid immediately or in a few days, in this job the more bugs/vulnerabilities you submit the more your pay, the least bug/vulnerability is priced at $200. Your employment is 100 percent guaranteed.

CYBER THREAT INTELLIGENCE
In this area your job is to get intelligence on cyber criminals for the purpose of knowing there tools and attack methods. This is a very good career path, you can be an expert witness in a case, or you can be hired by an organization to investigate a cyber attack.

**Ayanbe Francis Uzezi is a cyber security expert.
I have friends here in the United Kingdom who are struggling to get an entry-level job in cybersecurity even after having a master’s degree in cybersecurity. Just like some people have said, it’s very difficult to see an entry-level job in cybersecurity because most of these multinational companies need someone with experience. I will advise one to start with data analysis or data science which has more direct entry jobs, unlike cybersecurity.

I'm just not in the mood so I won't be telling much stories...

Last year, depression almost killed me if not for the saving grace of God.
I wrote jamb, scored 225. Took delta state university's post utme form and scored 68. I wasn't admitted.
As I so much didn't want to stay at home for another year, I called my dad and asked him to send me money for a change of institute, he declined.
He was like "abeg! Wait for another year, I nor get shi shi". Yeah, I know he's not a literate but I expected that he knew the value of education but he doesn't.

I cried my eyes out for months and had to take up a job as a waitress so i could afford this year's jamb reg fee.
I took jamb again and scored 212. All glory to God because I never prepared. I worked from 8am till 10pm and sometimes till 11pm. My boss then even turned me to a dish washer.
Salary was 20k. 20k that my dad can pay me monthly but he was okay with that.

Okay...
I'm broke and jobless now because I want to prepare well for my upcoming Uniben's post utme.
I asked him for just 2,500 to buy past question but this was his reply:
"2,500 for wetin? I nor get oo. E be like you go relax and try again next year or just wait make you mature then you marry".

I shouted at him until I lost my voice, I cried and I'm like God why??
I will advise you not to leave your current place of residence. Most of these people here offering their help might not do anything for you in the end. Stay in your parent house and prepare for your exams. You’re still young and don't be too hard on yourself. In addition, some of these people telling you to leave your comfort zone in other to make it in life. I want to tell you categorically that it might not really work in some situations. I left my comfort zone when I had gathered most of the skills I needed to make it outside my comfort zone and it paid off. Stay in your state and develop skills. You don’t leave your comfort zone when you’re not ready. I wish you all the best in your exams.

I tried to find out what happened, she told me she wanted a break. I was confused I tried to guess why she came up with that. she needs to seek and know if it's the will of God for our union that's after two kids .

I was lost also I have tried to restore this woman sanity since then till now I have spoken to the mother she it's not saying anything than what ever she decides it's best for her the only once telling me not to worry at the brothers but I'm worried honestly .

I don't want my kids to grow in different homes.

I also tried to make her see this same reason she told me the kids will be fine she's not looking at anything making her decision please I need advise it's my wife under a spell or what.

I don't want to raise ny kids this way please advice please....
Why is it that it's mostly the men that run here for marital advice?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Are Some Common Interview Questions For Tech Jobs? by Etiyin: 12:09pm On Apr 22, 2023
During an interview session, it is advisable to use the STAR method when answering the “when” interview questions in tech (it cuts across all disciplines).
The STAR method is an interview technique that gives you a straightforward format to tell a story by laying out the Situation, Task, Action, and Result.

Situation: Set the scene and give the necessary details of your example.
Task: Describe what your responsibility was in that situation.
Action: Explain exactly what steps you took to address it.
Result: Share what outcomes your actions achieved.
By using these four components to shape your anecdote, it’s much easier to share a focused answer, providing the interviewer with “a digestible but compelling narrative of what you did.
It's vital to know this because it's essential.

Christianity EtcRe: Can You Be A Politician And Still Be A Genuine Christian by Etiyin: 12:59pm On Oct 23, 2022
Kobojunkie:
Impossible! undecided

▪︎Jesus Christ warned His followers never to set themselves up as the Gentile rulers - politicians - over any of the others - Matthew 20 vs 20 - 28 & Mark 10 vs 42 - 45 & Luke 22 vs 25 - 27 undecided

▪︎ Jesus Christ also indicated that those who are His followers are no longer to work for food that perishes but rather for food that endures to eternity which only He can give to them, and the work He calls on all of His followers to do is to believe in the one who sent Him - John 6 vs 25 - 35 undecided

▪︎ Jesus Christ also warned His followers that they can't serve two masters in the Kingdom of God - Matthew 6 vs 24 undecided

Basically, you cannot serve the world(its politics included) and serve God at the same time. undecided
Who should now lead if Christians distance themselves from politics. At the end, you will be complaining about bad governments and mismanagement of resources
PoliticsRe: Ekweremadu's Kidney Donor Visa Application Letter To British High Commission by Etiyin: 10:43am On Jun 24, 2022
I think all these stories of Ekweremmandu being innocent is fallacy and again saying that the donor’s kidney didn’t even match is a big fat lie without any iota of truth in it. What we should know is that before Ekweremmandu accept to spend such money on the boy’s visa, they doctors must have ran a couple of medical tests to ascertain if the boy’s kidney will be compatible with that of his daughter, I don’t see why the writer should say such rubbish. He needs to pay the consequences of his actions. I’m happy for the boy because him go just file for asylum citing the fact that his life won’t be safe again once they allow him to return to Nigeria, the boy don japa
