How soon did you get your medical report from the hospital ( your own copy) ? Was it given to you the same day tht you had the medical examination or was it on a later date. cyris: 1. June 13 2020: submitted application with upfront medicals 2. August 24 2020: Biometrics done (delay because vfs offices were closed due to covid) 3. January 12 2021: Sent an email to travel restriction exemption email 4. February 2 2021: Sent a reminder email 5. February 2 2021: I received a mssg that i should provide my medical exam results and I replied (as a fresh application) that I did upfront and attached the printout. 6. March 3rd 2021: I sent a reminder 7. March 7 2021: My account was updated that they haven't seen my medical exam result 8. March 8th 2021: medicals passed and passport request.
These are the messages I sent: 3. Good morning, My name is (my wife's full name), my date of birth is ...... and my online application for a visa is in process.
My details are as follows: Application number: ...... UCL: ..... Passport number: ...
I submitted my application in June 13, 2020 hoping to join my spouse (a PhD student on a temporary resident visa) in Canada latest December 2020 but currently the progress update on my application has been stagnant so the earlier I can join him the better for me.
My spouse returned to Canada few days after our wedding and the physical distance between us coupled with Covid19 lockdown and restrictions have dealt a heavy blow to our marriage. Initially, I thought I could cope with being physically separated from my husband for a while hence I went ahead with the wedding but the toll on us right now is unbearable. I have attached a document stating my eligibility and more detailed reasons for my travel.
I currently live in Nigeria and I plan to travel latest February 2021.
Kind regards, my wife's name
4. reminder email: Good morning,
I earlier sent the forwarded travel exemption request and its over fourteen (14) business days but I haven't received a feedback from you so I am speculating that I probably didn't follow the SOP.
My name is ..., my date of birth is ... and my online application for a visa is in process.
My details are as follows:
Application number: ... UCL: ... Passport number: ...
I submitted my application in June 13, 2020 hoping to join my spouse (a PhD student on a temporary resident visa) in Canada latest December 2020 but currently the progress update on my application has been stagnant so the earlier I can join him the better for me.
We got married in Nigeria on December 13th, 2019 after which my spouse returned to Canada to continue his PhD studies which made it impossible for us to spend quality time together. Our marriage is young, and the physical distance is currently having a strenuous impact on our union and establishing a stronger bond between us. From all indications, my spouse has been negatively impacted by our separation. Quite rightly, the physical distance between us has been counterproductive to his academics and we are looking forward to being reunited as soon as can be.
On my part, it has been difficult to live with this development. I wasn’t prepared for the emotional and psychological trauma being separated from my spouse would bring me. We communicate most times by social media but this has helped only a bit because of several unfavorable prevailing realities surrounding our distant relationship two of which are frequent and prolonged power outages and internet network service downtimes in Nigeria. Worst still, there is a 7 hours’ time difference between Nigeria and Saskatchewan where he is, and so on a daily basis, we have a barely 3-hours’ time window to have a conversation which is frequented by unavoidable interruptions. To say the least, this has been very frustrating and does a disservice to our tender relationship making us grow apart. I am, therefore, humbly requesting for your support to allow me join my husband in Canada. I currently live in Nigeria and I plan to travel in March 2021. Kind regards, Name
Let me stop here because its getting too long please. I attached my letter of explanation with which i applied. |

I would say you should resume school first and get the letter of enrollment from your school, also you would need your study permit too which would be issued to you at the port of entry in Canada. your hubby would need those documents to prove to the VO tht youre already attending classes and not doing something else.
I just got my study visa approved. I am supposed to resume in September 2021 and would like to travel with my spouse in August. Can he apply for a SOWP now? Or do I have to resume first before he can apply?[/quote] |

Hmmmm.... A job offer letter is NOT a work permit. You need to provide his work permit from IRCC, I think tht should hold some water but, not a job offer letter. Did you also write them a letter stating the reason why you needed an exception? Did your husband too write a letter to request for you guys around him? I'm just looking at what could possibly go wrong for not granting your request at this time... Since they said you did not provide sufficient evidence milkytins: .
Hubby job offer letter, Marriage certificate and birth certificate
Is there any better way to meet their requirements? |

milkytins: what sort of evidence did you provide to prove you meet the travel exemption ? did you provide what they requested for?
Pls how can I sort this out? My wife's and daughter's requests were denied travel exemption approval on Open Work Permit visa and visitor visa respectively. |

Processing time is 22weeks today. I think you should raise a web form, reminding them that you are pass processing time. It might really help your application |

Biometrics done. Medical not yet done. We are still processing your application, we will let you know when we start eligibility review.... Been 18weeks now that i submitted, when i submitted my application it says 17weeks to process but, now its taking more than that. the only mail i got from them was in late november, saying... we're still working on your application. from tht time till now.... Nothing. this wait time is really killing. I have decided to hand ircc over to God regarding my application. |

that number means nothing. its your tally number but it doesnt count. just go and attend the interview. goodluck Saskbound: It’s like a tally number, though of no significance (Except at the verification point before you walk into the embassy) these days because everyone goes in at the same time. Even if your AP is past noon. First come first serve basis. |
Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by etjigger(m): 5:34pm On Jul 20, 2019 |
you can still travel with the old and new passport maddock: My brother it is "cancelled without prejudice" not just cancelled or with prejudice. Cancellation of the old passport ain't got nothing to do with the visa. Its not even about you telling them to leave out the valid visa because they would definitely leave it before since its still valid. So simply use rubber band to band both the old and new passport together for your travels. Please don't start trying to explain to any immigration officer that your passport was cancelled without prejudice and you have a valid visa because this matter is a normal occurrence and nothing odd about it. |

I got registered into elementary school by Grandma with a DOB she seems not sure of, because of lack of education. After almost two decades she met soo confirmed my DOB and this was different from the first one. Changed to the new DOB recently confirmed. Applied for Australia and UK visa (TEN YEARS AGO), got refused and eventually was granted visa. Few years later, got reconciled with my father and was told my DOB was the first one ever used. Abandon the DOB with two visa and applied for a new passport with which i have secured US visa. Do i disclose change in DOB and previous UK and Australia refusal to the VO of the canadian embassy? |

Be very careful when getting the African Grey Parrot. Some sellers do dye other parrots and sell them as the African grey. Watch out when getting it!!! |
