A CUP OF EGUSI IS 80 NAIRA IN MY AREA IN ABUJA
This is unbelievable (#350-#80 = #270).
Does it mean that the egusi is farmed in Abuja and cost of production is far cheaper there or cost of transporting this egusi to Abuja is cheaper?
NYSCREVALIDATION ISSUE by Eudes(op):
Please, I wish to confirm if NYSC will still post me to the same state by November if I fail to report to camp this August. Though I registered for this Batch 2 Stream II, I wish to go with November batch because of some striking issues I'm currently facing.

But the way NYSC came up with this surprising Batch 2 Stream II is a bit confusing. Please I want know if they will post me to the same state if I revalidate by November.

Is there any valid information on this? I need a kind response ASAP.
Kind regards.

From the much I know things are not cheaper from the farms o, labour has become more expensive as there are few labourer in the farms this days, prices of seeds have also gone up, fertilizer and pesticides have now gone up, transportation even these days you have to pay for security of your farm otherwise sorry is your name Na oyo
Great insight. But is there anything that can be done to checkmate some of these issues.

Guys, i am thinking of the best place to serve, i am a biochemistry student. pls any suggestions? You advice will be much appreciated
What you want will determine where you want to serve.
If you are after state government allawee you may like to go to Anambra.
If you are after electricity, I heard that Abuja is OK.
If it's network that you are looking for, then states like Rivers, Lagos, Abuja etc will be a good place.
If you are looking for business opportunities like transporting agro products from state to state, you may consider some northern states, Benue and co.
If it's job opportunity, Lagos, Rivers, Ogun etc are best bet.

Just like that...Your question has no specific answer until you narrow it down to what you want.

Phc is my base and not a good place to serve, because the state doesn't pay any allawee and the possibility to get a free house from your ppa is low, thus you have to do that urself, and a decent room and toilet/kitchen goes from 150k to 250k per annum depending on the location and the standard.
Is there good network there?
BusinessJoin Us To Buy Commodities Together At A Cheaper Rate by Eudes(op):
Hello my great entrepreneurs,

I have a striking issue I wish to resolve with the affect ones. Please, can we work together if you do not have enough capital to ship products from the north and other part of the country?

I have made the necessary survey and discovered that transporting goods directly from farmers will help me to make more gain than buying from suppliers who hype the cost of these commodities.

I have contacted some farmers. I wish to supply products like cucumber, garden egg, onion, yam, pepper etc in trailer loads - you can bring your own ideas as well. But my problem now is the necessary capital.

Please, if you are a trustworthy person and you find yourself in this same condition, kindly indicate your interest. I need people who can pool money together to buy these commodities directly from these farmers. My preferred destination is Lagos and Ogun State. If you base in these states and you wish to partner in this business idea, kindly indicate interest. If you have other nonagricultural products in mind, I am open to it.

Later we can discuss on how to maximize the opportunity.

Thanks.

Hello wonderful Agropreneurs of our land.

Please, I really need kind and valid information from you. If you have the right information, be kind enough to air your opinion.

Please, I wish to know the cause of high cost of agricultural commodities in this country, especially in the southern and western part of the country. From the information I gathered so far, I have come to realize that the problem is not actually from farmers who produce these products. Information gathered revealed that farmers actually sell their products very cheap.

But why do those cheap products gotten from farmers turn to gold when they reach the local markets? Yam that is farmed in Benue State is now very expensive for the poor masses to buy in many parts of the country. The last time (3 weeks ago) I went to the market to price melon (egusi), they told me that the price for one cup was #350 - who knows how much they have added to it now.

Please, I wish to go into agriculture as I have graduated from the university. My target is the supply chain, but I need to understand some critical issues involved with the supply of agro products in Nigeria.

My dear farmers and suppliers, I wish to know the biggest challenges that you encounter in this agro-business stuff. Though I wish to make money from it, but my greatest desire is to see how we can curb the incessant hype in price of these commodities so that the poor masses can also benefit from it.

Please, could you be kind enough to share your opinion/experience with us. I strongly believe in the power of coalition. Together we can create a better society.

Remain blessed!
