I am a Corp Member relocated to Rivers State for my Primary Assignment. I wish to serve in any town with stable power supply and network so I can be able to manage my personal project as well.

I served in the Nigerian Air Force Base. I was given accommodation and paid too. Also check Nasme barracks and Police Headquarters. There's accommodation and allowance.

Pcm don't allow anybody to discourage you. I still remember vividly that some people were saying all sort of bad things about benue but i can proudly tell you that apart from the water issue, Benue people esp the idomas are very nice, respectful, caring and accommodating towards corpers.. The state is not called the food basket of the nation for nothing..we hardly buy foodstuff cos they "donate" enough to us so tey we come even tire to dy chop.. This is the best time to experience benue state. The weather is a bit cool with occasional rainfall and enough water plus the abundance of food

See benue state is not a bad state.. You go enjoy your service if dem post you go otukpo or markudi.. Some villages in benue lack water. You go suffer during dry season cos their stream dy dry during that time.. Me and other batch b 2017 stream one corpers hear am during that period

Hehehe...please how did you survive the dry season? And, can I influence my posting to markurdi and co.?

Baba welcome to benue aka the food basket of the nation..
1)if you're posted to makurdi or otukpo town you will definitely enjoy electricity and good network. If you're posted to a village like Opa-adoka then you won't enjoy electricity but network is good
2)Unless you're an agriculturist, there's little or no opportunities for corpers in benue state. Benue state is an agricultural state. Their major occupation is farming.

Simply defer and revalidate with stream 2.

Oga you are not ready for camp yet... Don't worry, since you don't want to go with this batch you can revalidate and follow next batch.

If you are very sure that you will not be ready for camp then any decision you make is OK.

My name came out April but I did not register with that set. July batch also came I shunned the registration, but later registered with August batch. Fortunately, I didn't report to camp.

Now I revalidated waiting for camp. If I like I can decide not to report to camp again and revalidate with next batch.

So there is no cause for alarm. If you like register, if you like don't register. The most important thing is that your name is now in NYSC register. Relax and deliver like the Hebrew women. I wish you safe delivery.

Hello house, i registered last year under poor health status, that means i wasn't given an option to choose the state am to serve because NYSC was supposed to post me back to my state. To cut the long story short, i couldn't go because instead of them posting me to my state were i receive medical care from my doctor, they posted me to Bauchi, so i couldn't go. when I went to revalidate this morning, after entering my email & password they just showed me my dash board. my question is shouldn't they have allowed me choose my 4 States as others who revalidate are usually given that choice or is it because I initially registered under poor health status.

One thing that is confusing me now is that if I click on the print call-up letter it takes me to a page that says 'no details found'.

Another thing is that I am still seeing the call up number on dashboard. So I don't know whether the revalidation was successful or not.

For people who wants to join 2018 Batch C stream 2, are they supposed to start their online registration now or will the portal be opened again by November

The best thing to do is to register now. NYSC did not announce that there will be stream 2 for this batch C. So what if they ended up not having stream 2?

I will advise you to register now. Then if you later confirm that there will be stream 2 you can simply not report to camp and revalidate with the stream. You have nothing to risk by doing so.

if you have registered on the nysc site b4 then you just need to wait for realisation that will appear on the nysc site when online registration commence ...you Don need you school to send any list.... But if you didn't register at all like doing thumb print n all... U need to go back to your school to remobilise you

As I am looking at my call-up letter I don't know whether to be happy or angry since I don't know how Benue State looks like, but I only wanted to serve in Rivers or Ogun. Currently, I don't have the money to work out redeployment but I don't mind borrowing if it worth it. I need your kind advice here, PLEASE.

What I am truly looking for is NETWORK and ELECTRICITY. If I have these two things I will never have any problem in my service year.

Please I need reliable answer to the following questions;
1. What is your experience so far with network and light in Benue?
2. What are the possible opportunities for a corper in Benue.
3. Is the state still having security issues?
