PoliticsRe: Should Elected Leader's Immediate Family Be Allowed To Live Outside Nigeria? by Eurphoria(f): 7:08pm On Jan 01, 2007
of course they can live any where they choose. I see what you saying though and know the reasoning behind it. I think with time if the country adopts a check and balance attitude towards the leaders then small steps can be taken in combating fraudulent leaders. They should be made to declare their assets , once there is a watch dog for their financial activites and the judicial system is working and non existent, anyone found misappropriating public funds then can be punished and shamed accordingly.

Even in the Uk ministers and such have to declare their earnings and beleive me not just African leaders are bent, many British leaders have been caught. This is why i say making people accountable is important, because If your spending don't add up then someone's going to be asking questions and you better be ready to explain.

BlackMamba:
ICE RINK + TROPICS = COLOMENTALITY

Is there an end to our shameful copying of the West including recreations suitable to their environment. huh huh huh
oh come off it, get a grip geez. Its just for the experience, its called entertainment and the leisure industry all over the world have a variety of such experiences  for ppl to just enjoy. Its only an ice rink bllody hell what would you do it like Japan they installed an indoor imitation of the swiss ski slopes, snow and all included. Or like in Saudi Arabia where they have man made beaches etc?

Dont see what the hallabaloo is all about only an ice rink . Cant ppl enjoy themselves without such comments? I bet you have partaken in many western activities yourself , get off your moral high horse. For your info the so called west also borrow many African experinces for their ppl to enjoy for those who have not been to Africa.

Its just for fun , fun fun fun
Nairaland GeneralRe: Pls Help With My Marriage by Eurphoria(f): 5:37pm On Jan 01, 2007
hmm i feel for you but the answer is very simple, forget all that crap about oh you don't want to seem like you coming between your husband and his sister. Listen what she thinks of you wont change for now so do not jump from frying pan to fire and invite her. You will be asking for trouble. I sense she is up to no good, better safe than sorry. Keep family at a distance is what i say once you marry its you and your husband and kids . Every other person can visit, but to live in my house? Only when hell freezes over.

That is your home, your sanctuary do not invite someone who does not even like you room to play games. Keep her well away from you home. Got to get your hubby on side, it will be hard for him but he has to realise that you are his wife and you are his priority, your happiness comes first . Any man who needs  reminding of that especially a married one should never have gotten married. Three is a bleeding crowd angry

Dont not let sentiments rule use your head
BusinessRe: Would You Go Into Business With A Nigerian? by Eurphoria(f): 4:03pm On Jan 01, 2007
Yes i will and i am. Its like anything, anybody can let you down Nigerian or not. contrary to what you think many Nigerians are straight hard working people. YOu just pray you don't get stung by anyone. I feel what Ruescho said about family. It's often a bad idea to involve family in business, very rarely it works, it only works when the business is long standing and family members are brought on boards slowly. Otherwise they the best people to take the piss out of you.

Nothing wrong with doing business with a Nigerian . Just find and pray for a good and honest person. My friend is the best really i trust that woman with many things thats why we work well together. Business partnership is like a marriage, you better be compatible and both not grate on each other, lest it will never work. You both have to have same vision , and motivate each other. Dont know about Men but women i find in business together especially when they are friends is a good partnership

Puleza
hi, are you SA? well then that would explain your post. i have a Zimbabwean friend her mum is a minister in Zimbabwe and she was telling me if not for the illegal immigrants in SA parts of your economy would crumble.  Becos as she said many SA are uneducated and depend on little handout or just steal , rob and kill. The proportion of the so called illegal you say selling drugs are nothing compared to the many young SA males running the streets , gun toting and harrassing  tourists.  Many are gangbangers and have taken the American ghetto mayhem way of life as a lifestyle choice.

I know as immigrants legal or otherwise, if you decide to go to another's country you got to respect the laws or get the hell out, I am all for that. I hate scroungers and i am all for if you visit another's house don't go shit on it.
I think SA's should address their economic Apartheid and stop blaming the migrants who work hard for that same economy . Not knocking your ppl just like i will criticise Nigerians for their own madness i think you should face the truth, emotions aside.
