sorry for disturbing...
buh i still dnt get wat apnd btwn tessy nd brian,nd i will appreciate if someone can explain it to me
You're not disturbing at all. Tessy was paid to lure Brian's daughter (Mille) into a trap so she could be killed. Jason (Brian's son) found out and told his dad. Brian had her followed and he knew his son was saying the truth. At first,he was willing to overlook it thinking she would confess but she didn't. Instead, she became a nagging woman. He also found out she was being unfaithful to him. When he became tired of her drama,he confronted her with all the evidence he had and called off the engagement and so she danced her way out of his life and probably, out of Hidden Diamonds.

Kara
I still wasn’t feeling comfortable with the way I was feeling but I had to push my fears aside and rush to school. I sat for UTME and passed just after Tristan’s first birthday. I gained admission In Uniuyo to study Anatomy. I didn’t want to go back to medicine anymore since I was combining school with taking care of my baby. I was determined not to get distracted this time around with anything. I should have been through or almost through with medicine and surgery if not for my pregnancy. At 24,I had not yet achieved what I thought I would achieve. I still believed I would make it and everything would fall in place for me.
I alighted from the tricycle I boarded and stood waiting for my change.
“Madam, abeg you get twenty naira there?”
“No sir. Don’t you have change to give me?”
“Na early morning be this my sister and na you be first passenger.”
“Okay,no problem. You can keep the change.”
“Sosongo o.”He thanked me and thanked me before he drove off. I was navigating my way to the lecture hall when I had a call.
“Come to Eden Hospital now. Your husband and son have just been rushed in.”
“Oh my God. What happened?”
The caller had already hung up.I ran back to the gate not minding the way people were staring at me as if I was mad. I boarded an empty tricycle immediately and asked him to drive me there.
“Madam your money go plenty o.”
“Just take me there. I’ll give you your money. Hurry.” I was already close to tears. I sent a text to mum, asking her to meet me at the hospital. She called but I didn’t pick the call. I was in no mood to talk. I just kept chanting “My baby,my baby” till we got there.

Elliot
Once mum was gone from my room,I removed Tasha’s diary to read it again. That had been my daily routine since she died. I remembered that morning vividly. I drove her to the hospital myself when she told me she was in labour. If she died during labour,it would have been less painful. She delivered our baby girl safely and we were both delighted. I remember her holding my hands and apologising for tearing my shirt while she was in labour. We laughed over it and even took some pictures together. Later, she began dosing off. I told her I was going back home to pick some things she forgor and she said “Don’t be long you hear?” I nodded a reply and left her not knowing that was the last statement I would ever hear from her lips. I came back to meet commotion in her ward. When the doctor said she was gone,I nearly strangled him. It took security to make me loosen my grip on him. He told me that a nurse went in to check on her and found out she wasn’t breathing. It seemed my life just ended at that moment. My Tasha was gone, gone forever. I called my mum and Jathniel to come over to Lagos. We buried her. I informed her sister and she came for the burial too. She even grieved more than me and I couldn’t blame her. Tasha was the only family she had. She refused to stay in Nigeria, claiming she never wanted to be an inch close to the country that swallowed up her sister. If my senses were intact,I would have corrected the silly impression she had of Nigeria but the truth was my head and anything called sense in it vanished with Natasha. I still called her to check on her from time to time only because of the love I had for Natasha. Mum brought Jane to Uyo to stay with her. I loved her,I really did but I couldn’t stand looking into the face that was exactly like Natasha’s right from birth. I couldn’t stay one place. Apart from my job,one of my close pals informed me that somehow Lucious discovered I was still alive so I had to run for my dear life.
I opened the diary in my hands and got extremely confused. From the diary,Natasha knew Lucious well but she never stated what job she did for him. I tried asking her sister if she knew Lucious. She claimed he helped them when they were helpless and that was all she knew. There was no one else I could ask about how she served him and how she managed to escape from his claws. The law was on Lucious tail and he was being careful with the way he handled things. One thing was for sure,Lucious never let any enemy go scot free and I was one of his greatest enemies. I hoped the law would catch up with him before he caught up with me. If not,I would be a forgotten story soon.

Brian
I was in Calabar for a seminar and also to visit a doctor. I never thought that I would have to visit a doctor, being a doctor myself till I was diagnosed of leukemia. My family wasn’t aware yet of my condition. I didn’t want to tell any of my children yet so they wouldn’t spend their days worrying about a man who had limited years on earth. I decided thee best thing I could was to inform my sister first. We had been on good terms ever since Tessy packed out of my life. I would see her when I return to Uyo but I just felt like calling her to know how she was an when would be convenient for us to meet. I called her about twice and she didn’t pick. I knew something must have one wrong because the sister I know always went everywhere with her phone. I decided to try for the last time and she picked.
“Hello Liz.”
“Brian,I’m sorry I couldn’t take your call.”
“What is…”
“Please just pray for Trista right now. That’s all I want and pray for Kara too. I’ll call you back later.” She hung up.
I managed to say a heart felt prayer to God for the first time since I was diagnosed. I had lost my faith for a while but I just had to pick it up for the moment and turn them into the hands of the Almighty.

Rachel
I was just getting settled in the office for the day’s job. I left for work early so I would have ample time to meditate. My mind went back to the conversation I had with Jason over the weekend.
I was dosing off on the sofa on Friday night when I heard a knock on the door. I sprang up from the sofa to open the door.
“Why the heck are you coming back now Jason?”
“Good evening to you too dear cousin.”
“Get in now and don’t touch me till you get yourself cleaned up.”
He didn’t say a word to me. He went in for a while to take his bath, emerging later in his pyjamas.
“If you don’t want to talk to me,at least give me food.”
“Jason,why are you back late?”
“I had a really stressful day madam. After work,I had to see my dad. He’s in Calabar for some sort of doctors’ whatever.”
“Oh,how is he?”
“He’s fine.” A weird silence followed. I left him to put food for us both. Jason was posted to Calabar for his youth service. He stayed with me ever since he was through with orientation camp.
After my youth service in Jigawa,I decided to return to Calabar. Luckily,I got a job without much stress in a pharmaceutical company. I still visited mum and dad in Uyo during the weekends. Jason often went with me to see them. During the week,we closed around the same time but I usually got home before him. Today,he stayed out late without a single call and I was really worried.
“Are you even looking at what you’re doing Rachel?”
“I’ve warned you about scaring me like that Jay.”
“You know what? Just go to the living room and wait,I’ll bring the food.” I left the kitchen and he came out with a plate loaded with jollof rice. He placed it on the floor before me and went to the fridge to retrieve drinks for us.
He dug his spoon into the rice but one glance at me told him he had forgotten something.
“Sorry,I forgot. Pray abeg I’m hungry.” I said a prayer,he dug in and I followed suit.
“Jay,I’m sorry for bursting out like that.”
“I’ll forgive you if you forgive me for coming late.”
I smiled. “You’re forgiven.”
“Thanks and you are too. So what’s been making you act like a sick puppy?”
“I’ve not been acting like a sick puppy.”
“You have.”
“I’ve not.”
“Okay, when you’re ready to talk I’m not dead yet.” I kept quiet for a while.
“Okay,I’ll talk. It’s Stephen.”
“Well, well, well. Somebody’s in love. Tell me all about it.”
“Shut up Jay. I’m not in love.”
“Let me hear word abeg.”
“Jay stop.”
“Okay, serious mode activated.” He sat up straight
“I think I’m falling in the dreaded river of love.”
“Dreaded? Come on Rachel, don’t make me laugh.”
“Yeah. I’ve never believed in it but it seems I’m caught.”
“Then what’s wrong darling? Enjoy it.”
“No. I want you to help me stop this foolishness Jay. I promised myself I would never fall in love or marry.”
“Yet you want to have children.”
“Of course,I can always adopt just like mum adopted me.”
“Yeah right. So what made you hold a grudge against love?”
“I’ve seen enough nonsense in my life Jay. Love and marriage is a form of bondage. Marriages are rarely ever successful. It’s just human hormones working that make people believe in weird things.”
“But aunt Liz and Uncle Liam are a perfect example that love is real.”
“They just happened to be lucky. Only one in a thousand people have that kind of luck.”
“Shucks! I can bet my life that your statistics are wrong.”
“Jay,I want to be independent and on my own. I ddn’t need a man in my life. As a matter of fact,I don’t know what’s wrong with me. In a way,I want to give in to this new blissful feeling but I’m scared at the same time Jay.”
“I’m devoid of ideas my dear. I think you should talk to Aunt Liz,she has the best ideas or even Mille.”
“Mille is blinded horribly by her “Niel so she’ll be partial.”
“And so is mum.” We laughed and he continued. “In my opinion, you should give love a chance dear. Let it show you the world in a more colourful way.”
“I’ll think about it Jay,thanks.”
“My pleasure.”
“So when are you gonna give love a chance?” I asked and he laughed.
“My pocket must be heavy first o. Anyway, there’s this young woman that’s been giving me attitude. I think I should tame her. Are you with me on this?”
“My comments are reserved Jay. You think I don’t know about the oyinbo pepper that you’re with right now?”
“Rachel?” He gave me a questioning look.
“Don’t look at me like that Jay. Alright,I did a bit of research.”
“A bit? I’m so gonna kill you.” He threw an empty bottle of water at me.
I smiled as I brought myself back from memory lane to start work. It was indeed a memorable weekend. The only weekend we missed out on going to Uyo to see mum and dad.
