TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by evalovely: 8:26am On Mar 30, 2024
Hello everyone
Please I need clarification on the following please;
1. Is it mandatory to provide proof of funds even if I have a valid job offer in Canada and I have started the job a month ago

2. My spouse did not claim any points for work experience but on the checklist she is asked to provide work reference- is this mandatory or just a general checklist?

3. After leaving Nigeria in 2016, I have obtained a police clearance for travelling to a different country, can I still use the police clearance though it says only valid for 3 months (since2016) but was obtained after I left the country?
This is because I am finding it difficult to apply for another police clearance from Nigeria as the portal is showing NIN not found despite having a valid NIN used for my passport

I will appreciate anyone who can provide insight on this please
Many thanks

PayPal or cashapp...... I think would be the easiest process.......
I tried cash app and was told it’s only applicable to send money to US and not Canada

I didn’t check PayPal
a lame question though 🙈 - can I pay money into someone PayPal account for them to transfer to their bank account please?

something is wrong somewhere.. most passport returns are happening within 5 working days. At most 7-10. Are you sure you gave the right person the envelope? Something is definitely wrong somewhere
Oh, and now I am worried
What can I do now ?

Please how can I contact Nigeria Home office or check passport issuing status ?
I did biometric for renewal since May and I have not received the passport. I have tried calling the number on their homepage and no one ever picked
Hello guys,

Can anyone help with the above please?

I paid for the passport to be posted to my address .
Can I show up at the home office for collection? I read on their website that entry to the office is only by appointment.

They're still issuing the old passport at the HC, at least as at November.
So they're not requiring the NIN.
Perhaps when they switch to issuing the new redesigned one, they might (the new one has a space for the so-called NI number, ridiculous in my opinion, why put a so-called personal number on an identity document, some blockheads in Abuja not thinking as usual), but for now it's not being requested.
Thanks a bunch for this

In Nigeria. Nin registration is compulsory for everyone including day old children prior to passport registration.

Not sure if it’s different for the UK Consulate
Thanks
