Barcelona star Luis Suarez and his wife Sofia Balbi have welcomed their third child named Lauti on Tuesday, October 23.

The 31-year-old was given time off from the training sessions to be bed side with his wife during the delivery of his new born son as Barcelona prepare for a crunch clash against Inter Milan.

Suarez who married Sofia in 2009 previously had two children a daughter his first named Delfina and his son named Benjamin.


He took to his official Instagram account to announce the safe delivery of the latest addition to his family with a picture of his new born son, and a lengthy message which included his name and assurance that his wife is doing well.

He said, “Welcome ❤LAUTI ❤ very happy to have you among us. His mother is doing well and is happy like his siblings. Thank you all for your message.”


Sofia who accompanied her husband to Cesc Fabregas wedding ceremony also posted the same picture of her new born son on her official Instagram account along with a message.

She said, “Welcome Lauti, how much we are waiting for you, Love you baby beautiful.”


Despite a perceived notorious personality on the field on play after incidents involving him and Manchester United’s Patrice Evra while he was at Liverpool .

He also had a biting incident against Itay’s Giorgio Chielleni while playing for Uruguay at the 2014 FIFA World Cup , Suarez is known to be a family man.

With UNESCO threatening to take away its World Heritage status due to extreme overcrowding, Dubrovnik has decided to take measures in order to cut tourist numbers.

The city is limiting the number of people who can scale its 15th-century ramparts at 4,000 a day.

The mayor is also planning on cutting the number of cruise ships entering the ancient port. If you must go, travel independently and spend freely at local businesses that often miss out on money from those on cruises.

2. The Democratic Republic of the Congo



There is perhaps no other country with an economic system more dysfunctional than that of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). But what you should be more afraid of is her political strife and militias.

There are a number of ongoing conflicts currently happening in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), some of which have been going on since as early as the 1970s. These include the guerrilla campaign of the Lord’s Resistance Army Insurgency, the Batwa-Luba Clashes, the Kivu Conflict, and the Ituri Conflict.

Due to the presence of armed groups, the United States government currently warns against all travel to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

You are not safe there.

3. Afghanistan

The current war situation in Afghanistan continues to claim civilian lives through bombings, crossfires, assassinations, and improvised explosive devices.

Beginning in 2001, U.S. forces raided Afghanistan to first topple the Taliban and then gradually ensure the complete eradication of the Taliban from Afghan territory. The U.S. also implemented counter-insurgency troops in the country to protect the civilians from Taliban attacks, and to allow the Afghan government to establish it’s position in the country in a steady manner. However, despite all of the measures undertaken, insurgency clashes and Taliban attacks continue to persist in the country.

4. Ukraine

Ukraine stands torn apart between the influences of the Russian government in the east and the European Union in the west. After Russia’s annexation of Crimea in March of 2014 and a cease-fire violation in Ukraine in September of the same year, Ukraine decided in June of 2015 to ban Russian flights from flying into the country, and also suspended gas purchases from Russia. In 2017, the war in Ukraine still rages on, in a conflict known as the War in Donbass. Communities such as Marinka and Avdiivka, in eastern Ukraine, are amongst the country’s most war-torn areas.

5. Mexico

Mexico may stand out as an interesting inclusion on this list. Although the country is not currently engaged in any formal war or civil war, the Mexican Drug War remains one of the deadliest conflicts of the current age. The war has officially been ongoing since 2006, and it is estimated that as many as 120,000 people have lost their lives as a result of it. An additional number of people, estimated to be around 27,000, have been characterized as missing as a result of the war.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday pledged that Nigeria will work closely with the Republic of Benin to ensure the success of the newly inaugurated Seme-Krake joint border post between both countries.

The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, in a statement in Abuja, said Buhari made the pledge at the official handing over of the joint border post, at Seme, Badagry, Lagos State.

President Buhari described the project, aimed at enhancing the free movement of persons and goods in the region, as ”a symbol of integration that brings together the peoples of Nigeria and Benin.”

He said: “Indeed, the Seme-Krake joint border is one of the busiest boundary lines not only in West Africa but the whole continent, daily recording huge movement of persons, goods and services.

”Permit me therefore to congratulate my brother, President Patrice Talon of the Republic of Benin on the successful completion of this magnificent project.

”As we all know, Nigeria and Benin share many things in common. Hence, the establishment of the Joint Border Post will certainly promote our brotherliness and emphasize our common interest.”

On the benefits of the joint border post, which sits on 17 hectares of land, the President noted that it would enhance trade facilitation by combining border clearance activities in a single location, increase cooperation and coordination of controls.

He added that the border post would also foster data and intelligence sharing between Nigeria and Benin Republic.

”The Border Post is strategically important and lies on the Lagos-Cotonou-Lome-Accra-Abidjan corridor, which accounts for about 70 per cent of the entire transit traffic in the sub-region.

”The corridor is also part of the Trans-African Highway network. This Joint Border Post with modern enabling facilities is a flagship project in ECOWAS and a good example of regional public assets with a spill-over range of benefits,’’ he said.

The Nigerian leader also expressed optimism that the facilities at the border post would improve the working conditions of border officials and make them more efficient and effective in carrying out their duties.

He, therefore, urged border officials of both countries to ensure that their operations were carried out within the guiding principles of ECOWAS.

”I am aware that a Joint Committee with membership from Nigeria and Benin has been established for the coordination and management of this facility. I would like to call on the members of the committee to note the complex task ahead of them.

”The committee must ensure that border officials are sensitised on the mode of operation of the Joint Border Post concept which is a big departure from the traditional mode of operation,’’ he said.

While calling on the ECOWAS Commission to continue to provide the needed support to this Committee, Buhari appreciated the financial commitment of the European Union Commission to the project and the contributions of the ECOWAS Commission towards its successful completion.

The President noted that inadequate transport infrastructure and inefficient services were some of the major bottlenecks to the attainment of socio-economic development and integration in the region.

”ECOWAS is a region where ports, roads, railways and airports still remain a constraint despite significant recent progress made.

”Nigeria has embarked on major investment programmes covering these sectors to improve the competitiveness of our economies and accelerate growth.

“We are therefore delighted to welcome such initiatives aimed at boosting the economic integration of our member States in West Africa,’’ he said.

In his capacity as the Chairperson of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Buhari also thanked the EU for supporting two other joint borders at Malanville (between Benin/Niger) and Noepe-Akanu (between Ghana/Togo).

Following the over 100% hike in school fees, students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology have said they won’t pay the new tuition.

The University management in an email sent to the students on Monday, October 15, 2018, said the hike will take effect from the 2018/19 session.

Having announced the new tuition, returning students who are indigenes of Oyo and Osun state will be paying N200,000 while non-indigenes are to pay N250,000.

However, the students have protested against the hike saying they can’t pay the fees.

Reacting to the fee hike, the institution’s Students Union President, Abiodun Oluwaseun while speaking with Sahara Reporters describe the school management and state government’s decision as wicked and insensitive.

“Our students find it very difficult to pay the N65,000; they pasted debtors’ list of over 4,000 students. Now, they have come up with this ridiculous amount. The stand of our union remains that we will not accept a kobo added to the tuition fee.

“The government should live up to their responsibility and give due subventions to the university; we will resist this anti-people policy with our last breath. If for this cause I die, let it be; we are ready for them; we will not be intimidated by the Police or other machinery they want to use against us, and we will seek legal redress soon.”

Ladoke Akintola University was established in 1990 by the government of Oyo and Osun state.

Here are three important things you need in order to improve your walk with God. They are:

Reading the Bible

The need for this can not be overemphasized. How can you know, love and work on your relationship with God when you don’t even know Him? It’s impossible. Anyone serious about growing in their knowledge of our Heavenly Father needs to spend time with His Word.

Reading the Bible is the best thing you can do as it not only helps you know God better, it also makes it easier to win the daily spiritual battles of life (Psalm 1:1–2).

Jeremiah 15:16 says, “Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts.”

Don’t focus so much on how much or how long you spend reading, care more about the quality of what you reading and how well you understand it.

Charles Spurgeon puts it perfectly: “Some people like to read so many chapters every day. I would not dissuade them from the practice, but I would rather lay my soul asoak in half a dozen verses all day than rinse my hand in several chapters. Oh, to be bathed in a text of Scripture, and to let it be sucked up into your very soul, till it saturates your heart! Set your heart upon God’s Word! Let your whole nature be plunged into it as cloth into a dye!”

Don’t just read, meditate

It’s one thing to just read, its a totally different thing to meditate on the Word of God. The term itself comes from a Latin verb meditari, which means “to think, contemplate, devise, ponder”. As such, meditating involves not just reading but really focusing on what you read even when you are no longer reading it.

By doing this, you become more familiar with the scriptures, making it a lot easier for God’s words to become effective in your life. Simply put, mediating turns you into a doer, not just a hearer or reader.

Joshua 1:8 says, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Be grateful no matter what

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says to “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

In this life, we get to choose the kind of people we want to be. You can either be sad or happy. You can choose to be anxious and worried about any and everything or choose to say thank you God instead trusting that your Father in heaven is making all things work together for good (Romans 8:28).

By choosing to have a positive mindset, you get “the peace of God.”

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus,” says Philippians 4:6–7.

Trust me, these three things will totally change your life.

A Nigerian lady's hope of making a fortune in France turned into a nightmare having fallen to human traffickers who reportedly made her a sex slave.
In a CNN News report, she is identified as Nadège (not real name). The Bois de Vincennes park in Paris used to be a home for her until she managed to escape her captors.

Nadège claims that "she was trafficked from Nigeria to France and forced into sexual slavery, at €20 ($23) per client, to pay off a colossal debt to a female Nigerian love-vendor", says a CNN report.

The love-vendor who is described as "madam" had made false promises about a good life in Europe when they met in Lagos. She anticipated a visit to France will fetch her waitress job as promised but that never happened.

"I was told it was like a paradise but getting here, it was like from frying pan to fire," CNN gathered from her. She was made to swear an oath at a juju temple before leaving Nigeria.


By swearing the oath she agrees to "repay her madam for sending her to Europe, and to never speak of her oath, or her debt, to anyone."

According to CNN, Nadège was 20 years old when she flew out of Nigeria on a commercial flight to France. She reportedly travelled with a fake passport.

Settling a debt of over N20 million was one of her obligations to her love-vendor who also seized her travelling documents. Things soon took a different turn for the lady when she became pregnant for her boyfriend.

At this time she made a decision to escape the forced labour but risks terrible consequences such as death or madness. Fortunately, both never came. They are expected to be the outcome if she fails to fulfil her obligation to the madam.

"I was waiting patiently for the death or the madness.

"I was like... 'Should I go over to the street and start working? Should I abort my baby?'," she tells CNN.


The family of Nadège who now enjoys protection at an asylum in France are reportedly feeling the heat after she successfully escaped. She has vowed not to return to Nigeria because it is not safe for her especially when playing the role of a mother.

A student of Universal School of Aviation has been summoned to the school's disciplinary panel after it was brought to their notice that she had been asking for money on Facebook to distribute a disturbing video of a girl being raped by 5 boys.

Nicki Ojiulor shared a post to address the rape incident, then went ahead to make fun of the size of the victim's vagina.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is plotting to disrupt its national convention scheduled to hold i Port Harcourt, Rivers state this Saturday, October 6th.

While speaking to newsmen in Abuja, the party National publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the PDP was aware of plots or machinations of all kinds to stop the convention holding in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital.

“We invite Nigerians to take note of this. We invite the international community to take serious note of the plots to thwart the efforts of the opposition to elect a candidate that will go into the February 2019 general election against President Muhammadu Buhari We invite all Nigerians to take cautious note of this development. However, on our own part, we wish to inform Nigerians, particularly member of the PDP that the national convention where our presidential candidate will be elected that has been scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt will go on as planned. No plot, no plan by detractors can stop our national convention.”

Ologbondiyan said the necessary security operatives and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had been served notices on the convention.
