Presidential candidate, Eunice Atuejide, has disclosed that if she loses the 2019 presidential election, she plans to contest for the presidency every four years until she becomes victorious.

The 39-year-old was elected the flag bearer of the National Interest Party (NIP) during the party’s national convention in Abuja on August 20, 2018.

During an interview with Pulse, she revealed that she won’t be deterred by failure to win the presidency at the polls next year and will keep contesting every election cycle until she becomes victorious.

She said, “I have already bought nomination form for 2023 just in case 2019 does not work. NIP, they know. I’ve told them; till I die, every four years, I’m coming back, so you people get ready. I don’t know who’s challenging me; I don’t know how they’ll prepare, but from today, I’m already preparing for 2023.

“I’m 39, by the time I’m 79, I’m still contesting in case I’ve not won. I will rule Nigeria. When it comes, when it’ll be, I have no control, but for the rest of my life, I’ll keep preparing.

“Every four years, I’ll come and present what I’ve prepared. If you people refuse me, no problem; I’ll go and prepare more and I’ll come back, ‘Okay now this is all the things I’ve done in addition to what I did four years ago’. If you refuse, I’ll go again and prepare some more. Till I die, every four years, you’ll see me.”

The lawyer also disclosed that she’ll always contest on the platform of the NIP because the party, registered in 2017, is committed to providing Nigeria with the sort of quality leadership it deserves.

“It’ll always be NIP because I do believe we’re on the right track in terms of providing the correct kind of government in Nigeria,” she said.

We need to get rid of Buhari – Atuejide

Atuejide told Pulse she decided to run for president because of the series of poor leadership that has plunged Nigeria into disarray. She said President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to provide quality leadership and must not be allowed to win re-election at next year’s polls.

She accused the president of being too focused on the past and his perceived political enemies that he’s not attending properly to the business of the country.

She said, “His most prominent failure is everything. Security, he failed; education, he failed. Buhari has not done anything right, he should go.

“Buhari has not done anything right as far as I’m concerned other than making sure the establishment are also suffering the pains that people are suffering and we do need to get rid of him. He doesn’t have any vision for Nigeria.

“You’ve seen him go all over the world and it has always been a big embarrassment for us each time he opens his mouth anywhere in the world. No policies, no ideas of where he wants to take Nigeria and Nigerians to.

“That’s the first job of a leader – show us that dream and we’ll follow you there gladly because we can see what you’re seeing. Buhari is seeing nothing.

“All he’s seeing is the people that messed him up in 1983 and he’s doing vendetta for them and is calling it corruption fighting. All those things that are in the past, that’s what he’s seeing. He’s not seeing the future.

“He still calls Germany West Germany, East Germany; he still says things like women belong in the other room.

“Every time Buhari opens his mouth, rubbish falls out of it so why do we want to even consider putting him there again? If he was even responsible, he won’t even be contesting.

“Why is he contesting to go there and still spend three more years abroad treating yourself. We don’t need it. We don’t need a Buhari in government.”

CUPP can defeat Buhari – Atuejide

Atuejide also stressed that the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) is strong enough to oust Buhari if it stays together. The coalition was formed when dozens of political parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and agreed to back a consensus presidential candidate to oust Buhari.

The 39-year-old aspirant said the coalition will displace Buhari in 2019 if the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stays true to its agreement.

She said, “I do hope that the CUPP stays together because PDP alone cannot remove Buhari. I don’t believe PDP alone can remove Buhari, but I do believe that the CUPP staying together will remove Buhari.

“If PDP does it alone and they go away, there’s a risk we’ll have Buhari for another four years. But as long as the CUPP keeps it together and PDP stays with the CUPP throughout this whole thing, they know that the CUPP weakens them, but they need to be that weak in order to give Nigeria a better government in 2019.

“If they refuse to stay with the CUPP and try their luck, I believe that Buhari will be president again in 2019 and that scares me. That’s why I’m working so hard to make sure that the CUPP stays together.”

According to the coalition’s agreement, a unity government will be formed by all the parties involved if Buhari’s ruling All Progressives’ Congress (APC) is defeated next year.

Folake Ogunbodede, a police sergeant attached to the Ipaja police station, is currently on the run after stabbing her husband, Taiwo, following a misunderstanding at their home in Ipaja, Lagos.

According to reports, the couple had a little misunderstanding, yesterday morning, and the husband left the house to avoid more issues.

However, Folake warned him not to return home, but since Taiwo had nowhere else to sleep, he returned home late last night, thinking that his wife would have calmed down, only for Folake to start stabbing him.

But for the timely intervention of neighbors, she would have killed him, as he was lying motionless as at the time of his rescue. Folake has since fled, while Taiwo continues battling for survival at the hospital he was rushed to.

A new study calls calcium and vitamin D pills into question.

A man identified as Afaha Obong, has committed suicide after smashing his phone and chewing his SIM card in Ikot Akpan Ikpong, Akwa Ibom State.

Report has it that the man until he decided to commit suicide was resident in Oron were he undertook his business only to visit his hometown of Ikot Akpan Ikpong on Sunday Evening.

His dead body was in the early hours of Tuesday, September, 11, 2018 found dangling on a Cocoa tree just beside his uncle’s house were he normally take shelter whenever he visit home since he’s yet to build his own house.


The remnants of the SIM card were found in his mouth. However, the motivation behind his action remains unknown at this time.
He’s said to be married with kids.
It was discovered that he smashed his cell phone and chewed the sim card.

None of his relative or even the villagers has been able to say what could have been the reason(s) behind his action,”

In Kumasi the capital city of the Ashanti region in Ghana today ,over 350 shops owned by Nigerian traders was closed down and More than 100 Nigerian traders were reportedly arrested and detained by task force constituted by the Government of Ghana to regulate retail trade.

A Nigerian trader who spoke with CFR Magazine on telephone said the clamp down which began last month has frustrated a lot of Nigerian traders doing legitimate business in Ghana.

When the government began the clamp down in August, they claimed the affected shop owners failed to regularize their business concerns as prescribed by the local law, while those detained didn’t have the necessary documents such as passport, resident permit and work permit.

But, another Nigerian trader in Kumasi region who sent the photos and videos to CFR Magazine on Thursday said the exercise was originally termed a routine inspection of business premises owned by non-Ghanaians to determine whether they were up to date in the payment of taxes but has now culminated in another round of clamp down on shops owned by Nigerians.

“The exercise is targeted at Nigerian. We’re part of the ECOWAS. So why are they doing this? They’ve not entered into any shop owned by the Senegalese and the Togolese who do business here too.

“They said we’re taking over their jobs. Nigerian government needs to wade into this matter and save those in various detention facilities. Since yesterday, they’ve arrested over 100 Nigerians,” he said.

The Inter-Governmental Task Force comprises representatives from the National Security, Immigration, the Ministry for Interior, Ghana Standard Authority, Ministry for Trade and Industry, Ghana Police Service and Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA)

A bike rider was, yesterday, nabbed in Iree, Osun State, after he and a friend slept with two prostitutes without paying.

According to “Enu o gbeni” one the prostitutes, the other client fled after successfully sleeping with them and they were only able to nab one.

Upon catching him, Enu o gbeni and her friend promptly put a call through to their madam to mobilise security operatives to the scene so that the culprit could be handed over to them.

A former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, has picked the N1m Expression of Interest form of the Social Democratic Party in order to contest for the Presidency on the platform of the SDP.

Duke revealed this when he visited the national secretariat of the SDP in Abuja on Tuesday
The former governor, while addressing journalists, said he was a loyal member of the Peoples Democratic Party for 20 years but decided to leave after the party lost focus.

Duke also questioned the decision of the PDP to zone the Presidency to the North.

He said, “I was a member of the PDP but over the years we saw the fortunes and the values of the party dwindle. When a former President walks out of his party, you know there is something. Over the years, you will see that it lost its values and became a shadow of itself.

“That the PDP is zoning today is actually a betrayal of those ideals it started off with because it was a national organisation. Today, in some parts of the country, it is hardly in existence.”

The former governor lamented the high rate of poverty and unemployment.

Duke said the rising population also posed a security threat if not probably checked.

The former governor also berated the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government for failing to improve the lives of Nigerians

Also speaking, the Deputy National Chairman of the SDP, Abdulahmed Isiaq, said the SDP would not zone any elective offices.

Isiaq added that the party believed in providing a level playing field for all.

With a massive population, abundance of stars, passionate football followers, and beautiful jersey, the Super Eagles are a useful asset to Roma’s foray into the African market.

However, while Roma recognised that they might not be the first choice of Nigerian football lovers, given the popularity of the aforementioned European clubs, their friendship posturing towards the Super Eagles could convince Nigerians to adopt them as the ‘second-favourite club.’

Although it is said by some that, the “Vincere o morire!” which means in English “Win or die!” was a treat from Benito Mussolini to the Italian team of 1938, facts have it that it was nothing but an inspiration from the then Prime Minister.

After the first World Cup was hosted and won by Uraguay in 1930, the Italian dictator, having tried to use sport as one of the tools to mobilize the nation behind his regime, was more than determined to show the world that Italy has what it takes to lift the trophy.

Thus, the following edition of the tournament was hosted and won by Italy in 1934.

However, four years later when the competition was played in France, Italy was already known and widely hated for being a fascist nation ( an ideology often considered as another form of Germany’s narcism).

Yet, they were not deterred.

The team would even approach the tournament with an uncompromising desire to retain the trophy it had won at home four years earlier.

In their opening match against Norway, they lined-up military style with raised hands to give the fascist salute twice before the game.



Such was the fearlessness they displayed that after the salute was met with a deafening barrage of whistles and insults, they raised their hands the second time to consolidate their stand.

With intimidation ensued, the Italians defeated the Norwegians two goals to one. They would proceed to the quarter-finals in the same fashion, stunning the French national side, three goals to one.

At the end of the semi-final against Brazil which Italy won two goals to one, it became obvious to spectators of the competition that the Italian side was playing with inspiration:

The team had received a telegram on the eve of the tournament from Benito Mussolini- the Italian dictator- who ruled Italy as Prime Minister from 1922 to 1943.

It is said that the telegram contained the Italian phrase, “Vincere o Morire!” which in English means “Win or die!”

Playing the Hungarian side in the finals of the competition, the Mussolini men approached the game with the spirit of “Vincere o Morire,” and defeated their opponent four goals to two; making them the only country in the history of the competition to win the World Cup twice with the same coach- Vittorio Pozzo.



When the Hungarian goalkeeper- netminder Antal Szabó- was interviewed after the tournament, he said: “I may have let in four goals, but I saved their lives.”

An excuse believed as one of the best in the history of goalkeeping.
