Romance › The Lies Ugly Men Tell Themselves To Feel Better by Evaress(op): 9:39am On Oct 01
They always say, "A man doesn't need to be handsome. Women only look at his pocket. It's money that matters."

That's the reason you see many rich men with big pot bellies. They believe they don't need to work out or look good because their money can get them any beautiful woman.

But the truth is, women like handsome men too. If a woman is only after a rich man, she is only after his money. She is in love with the money, not the man. A woman will only fall for an ugly man who is poor if he has an exceptional personality.

If I already have my own money, why on earth would I settle for an ugly rich man with a pot belly? A man whose face I can't even stand to look at, let alone kiss passionately?

Looks matter for men too, and so does personality. Don't think that just because you are a man, you shouldn't take care of yourself or try to look good, or that you shouldn't work on having a great personality.

Don't make your entire life goal just about making money. Because there are some men that, no matter how rich they are, I can never say yes to.

Literature › Re: Ada The Mad Woman by Evaress(op): 11:17am On Sep 27
*ADA THE MAD WOMAN*

The market square was busy as usual, full of noise and traders shouting their prices.

In the middle of it all, a mad woman was dancing.

A group of children gathered around her, beating drums and empty cans, laughing with excitement as they watched her. She danced so gracefully, so skillfully, that it was hard to believe she was not in her right senses. Her body moved perfectly to the rhythm, her feet light, her hands swaying in the air.

Soon, a crowd began to form. People stopped to watch — market women paused from selling, men stopped on their way, passersby stood still just to admire her.

"Eyah! This mad woman sabi dance pass many normal people sef," someone in the crowd exclaimed.

"Indeed, she is a very good dancer," another replied.

Appreciating her talent, people started spraying her money, tossing notes at her feet as she danced.

Behind the crowd stood the man in charge of keeping people like her. His eyes were not on her dance, but on the money. He bent down quietly, picking every naira that was sprayed for her and stuffing it into his pocket.

When the dancing ended and the crowd dispersed, he brought out his chains. He bound her hands and, with his long stick, began to drive her away like an animal, leading her back to where he kept the other mentally ill people.

And strangely, as he pushed her along the road, she was just laughing — laughing as if nothing had happened, as if she felt no pain, no shame, and no chains.

The man in charge of the mad women turned to his partner and asked, "How much did we make today?"

His partner sat on a low stool, counting the crumpled notes one by one.

"Ten thousand naira," he replied, his face lighting up.

"Wow! This mad woman always brings us good money with her dancing steps. Every time we take her out, she fetches us something tangible," the first man said, clearly impressed.

"Indeed, she is making us a lot of money," the second man said with a wide smile as he folded the cash neatly.

The first man rubbed his chin thoughtfully and said, "I think we should take her to Akwa market square tomorrow. Let her dance there. You know there are many rich traders in that market — they will spray her plenty of money if she dances well."

"You are right. That is a very good idea," his partner nodded. "Maybe we will make even more cash there."

They both smiled, already imagining the money they would make from her the next day.

The following day, they brought Ada to Akwa market square.

As soon as they arrived, they started beating their drums and empty cans, creating a loud, rhythmic sound that filled the entire market. On hearing the beat, Ada sprang into action. She stepped into the middle of the square and began to dance with so much grace and energy that everyone was mesmerized.

One by one, traders left their shops and customers abandoned what they were buying just to come and watch her dance.

"Wow, she dances so well!" a woman whispered in amazement.

Among the crowd were two well-dressed young men. One was Peter, a music producer, and the other was Simon, a music composer.

Peter stared at Ada for a long time, his eyes wide with admiration. "This woman dances better than all those ladies that auditioned to feature in our upcoming music video," he said to his friend.

"You are right, Peter, but it's so unfortunate she is mad," Simon replied with a sigh.

Peter shook his head, still unable to take his eyes off her. "Never in my life have I seen someone dance this well. I am thinking of taking her."

Simon turned to him in shock. "Are you okay? What do you mean by taking a mad woman in? Don't be ridiculous!"

"Seriously, Simon, I'm not joking. This woman is perfect for the job. She is exactly what we need," Peter insisted.

Simon laughed sarcastically. "Don't tell me you have gone nuts like her too."

"I have a plan, Simon," Peter said confidently, clicking his fingers as an idea formed in his head.

"I don't know what you are thinking, but no one will allow this mad woman to feature in my upcoming song video," Simon argued.

Peter smiled and placed a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Don't worry, Simon. I know exactly what to do."

Peter pushed his way closer through the crowd and waved at one of the men who was controlling Ada and beating the drum for her. He gestured for him to come over.

The man dropped his drum and walked up to him. Peter led him away from the noisy crowd to a quieter corner where they could talk properly.

"I like that lady," Peter said.

"Which lady? You mean that mad woman?" the man asked, looking surprised.

"Yes, the mad woman," Peter replied.

The man smiled knowingly. "She dances so well, so I am not surprised you like her."

"Are you the one in charge of her?" Peter asked.

"Yes, me and my brother Francis. We control the mad people in this area," he answered.

"There is something I want you to do for me," Peter said.

"What is it, sir?"

"I want you to help bring this mad woman to my studio."

The man was taken aback. "A mad woman in your studio? For what reason, sir?"

"You see, young man, with the way this girl dances, no one will ever believe she is mad. And I need this type of dancer for my upcoming music video," Peter explained.

"Sir, this one will cost a lot. You know controlling mad people is not easy," the man said.

"How much will you charge to do this job for me?"

"Two hundred thousand naira."

"I will pay you five hundred thousand naira."

Hearing that huge amount, the man's face lit up with excitement. "Consider it done, sir. When do you need her?"

"We will be here tomorrow morning to pick her up. Let me have your number."

"Alright, sir."

He gave his number to Peter.

"Save my name as Chike. I will be expecting your call tomorrow," Peter told him before walking away.

Peter walked back to Simon.

"Peter, I don't understand what you are planning with this mad woman and your people," Simon said, looking confused.

Peter just smiled. "Don't worry, Simon. Let's go. I will tell you all about my plan on our way to the studio."

Simon kept staring at him, completely confused.

---

That evening, after Francis and Chike returned with Ada to their spot where the other mad people were kept, Chike could not contain his excitement.

"You can't imagine, Francis. That man offered me 500k to bring this woman to perform for them!" he said.

"Wow! We don hammer! 500k! This girl is really a blessing to us," Francis shouted joyfully.

"Let's count how much we made today," Chike said.

---

The next morning, Peter arrived there with his car.

Francis and Chike chained Ada and forced her into the car. She struggled violently, refusing to enter. But they overpowered her, pushed her inside, and Peter drove off straight to the studio.

When they got there, they tried to pull her down from the car. She was still struggling, refusing to get down. They had to drag her out forcefully.

Just then, the studio manager came out to welcome them.

"Is she the one, Peter?" Maria asked.

"Yes, Maria. That's the mad woman I told you we are going to work with," Peter replied.

"Guys, take her with Maria. Maria will show you where to drop her, and Maria, please don't forget all I told you to do with her," Peter instructed.

"No problem, sir. Another thing, sir. Jude says he wants to see you. He has been waiting inside the studio for you," Maria said.

"Alright, I will go talk to him," Peter said.

Maria led the way, while Francis and Chike dragged Ada along behind her.

Peter entered the studio and saw Jude inside with Simon. They were already talking. He greeted Jude and sat down.

"Peter, what is this I am hearing? That you want to bring in a mad woman into our song video?" Jude asked angrily.

"Listen, Jude. I know exactly what I am doing. Out of the fifteen girls that auditioned for that dance in the music video, none of them could dance as good as her," Peter explained.

"Then why not search for other girls? Why a mad woman?!" Jude fired back.

"Do we have the time to keep looking for other girls? This one is already perfect. Trust me, you need to see her, Jude," Peter pleaded.

"You know I am the artist of this song and this is my first time collaborating with another big artist like Jerry for a music video and I don't want to blow this up. You know how big Jerry is as a musician," Jude said.

"I know, sir, and trust me, I know what I am doing. I have already told Maria to glam her up. Give her good hairstyle, nails, clothes. She will look unrecognizable," Peter assured him.

"And the lingerie?"

"Don't worry, Jude. I have some guys who can control her. They will make her do the dance steps well."

"Just imagine a mad woman dancing in lingerie. If Jerry comes next week from France and sees this, what do you think he will think of us?" Jude asked.

"Sir, believe me. With the way that lady dances, no one will ever know she is mad. I have everything under control," Peter said confidently.

"I just hope you know what you are doing, because if you blow this up, I will never forgive you," Jude warned.

Celebrities › Why Do We Run To Greet Celebrities Or Take Photos With Them? by Evaress(op):
It is simply a sign of love and respect, and they truly deserve all the hype they get. They entertain us on screen with their talent and hard work, so they deserve every bit of admiration. It is not easy at all.

To those who say, "God forbid, I can never see a celebrity and run to greet them. I am too classy and too big for that. If I see them, I will just act like I didn't see anyone — they are just ordinary people," honestly, you are just being bitter and jealous.

For those of us who love and appreciate our celebrities who entertain us, please never stop showing that love. They are an inspiration and role models to many of us.

If I ever meet Genevieve Nnaji, Lilian Bach, Angelina Jolie, Priyanka Chopra and Omotola Jalade one day, I swear I will faint from excitement because I love those women to death.

You can call me a bush girl, I don't care. You can keep forming classy.

Literature › HOPE (the Story Of An Autistic Child) A Must Read!!! by Evaress(op): 3:39pm On Sep 25
HOPE

CHAPTER 1: THE UNWANTED CHILD

"Get out of my sight, you piece of trash!" Clarissa screamed.

Hope had only just opened the bedroom door. She stood there holding a small crayon drawing, her face lit up with a smile meant for her mother.

"I never want to see you here again!"

Chloe, her grandmother, rushed in at the sound.

"Clarissa, you have not stopped being cold to this child. You are scaring her. Can't you see?"

"I don't care," Clarissa snapped, her eyes red from alcohol. "She can die for all I care."

Hope didn't understand the words, but she understood the tone. Her smile faded. Her little hands began to tremble.

Chloe bent down and softened her voice. "Don't mind her, my love. Come, let me take you to your room and read you some books, okay?"

In her bedroom, Chloe opened a storybook. Hope sat on the floor, laughing quietly to herself, her eyes drifting from the window to the ceiling. She brought out a blue pen and began scribbling circles on paper. That was her world. Quiet, repetitive, innocent.

CHAPTER 2: A MOTHER'S HATE, A GRANDMOTHER'S LOVE

Hope was born autistic.

Clarissa had been raped one night on her way home from work. It was dark, raining, and no one came to help. Weeks later, she discovered she was pregnant. She hated the child growing inside her. She tried to abort it, but her mother Chloe refused to let her. Chloe insisted the innocent child must live.

From the day Hope was born, Clarissa never bonded with her.

Clarissa's life changed completely. She stopped going to work. She started drinking in the morning and smoking late at night. She became an alcoholic who never bathed, fed, or held her own baby.

"Is that even a child?" she would sneer.

But Chloe became both mother and grandmother. She woke up at night to feed Hope with a bottle. She bought her clothes, toys, crayons and picture books. She knew Hope was autistic, but she never saw her as a burden. She clapped for her when she drew a line and loved her unconditionally.

Still, Hope wanted her mother. Like any child, she craved her mother's touch. Whenever she waddled over with a teddy bear hoping to play, Clarissa pushed her away.

"Get lost!" she would scream, sometimes shoving her so hard that Hope fell. Hope would cry in a high-pitched, broken whimper that made Chloe's heart ache. And Chloe would always run to carry her.

"Clarissa, this is your daughter. Learn to love her. Stop this drinking," Chloe pleaded many times. But Clarissa never listened. The sight of Hope reminded her of that terrible night.

When friends visited and saw Hope playing outside alone, humming and flapping her hands, they would ask, "Who is that little girl?"

"Oh, she is my niece's daughter," Clarissa lied with a smile. She never admitted Hope was hers. She never took her out. She denied her completely.

CHAPTER 3: THE BIRTHDAY PARTY

Then came the day of the birthday party.

Clarissa had invited all her friends. Music was loud, drinks were everywhere, and laughter filled the living room. Hearing the music, Hope wandered out innocently. She saw her mother in the middle of it all and her face lit up.

"Mummy, mummy, mummy..." she said with a wide smile as she ran to her.

The room fell silent.

Clarissa's face hardened. She grabbed Hope by the arm and pushed her away harshly. "Get away from me! I told you to stay in your room!"

Hope stumbled and hit a side table. Several glass cups crashed and shattered. Guests screamed.

"Who is this child? Why are you pushing her like that?" one friend asked.

Embarrassed and angry, Clarissa dragged Hope to the door and shoved her outside. "Get out!"

Hurt and overwhelmed, Hope ran past the compound and into the busy street.

Chloe panicked. "Hope! Hope! Clarissa, where is your daughter?"

"I don't fucking care!" Clarissa shouted.

"Tell them the truth for once, Clarissa! She is your daughter! She is your own blood!" Chloe yelled, in tears.

The room went silent.

"You mean that little girl is your daughter?" a friend gasped. "Why did you never tell us? You said she was your niece's child!"

Clarissa was furious at being exposed. "I have no time for this nonsense. The party is over!" she said, dropping her glass and storming into her bedroom, slamming the door.

Chloe searched the streets calling Hope's name, but Hope was already far away.

CHAPTER 4: LOST

Hope found herself in a noisy motor park. She sat alone on a bench. When she saw passengers boarding a bus, she followed them, walking unsteadily with unfocused eyes. People stared.

"That child is behaving strange," someone whispered.

The bus drove for nearly an hour to another town. Everyone got down except Hope.

"Who is this girl and why is she not coming down?" the driver shouted.

The conductor approached her. "Small girl, oya come down. This is the last stop."

Hope just smiled softly.

The driver pulled her out angrily. "I think this one is not well. Timothy, why did you allow her to enter?"

"Sir, I didn't know. I'm sorry."

"Next time you allow this kind of passenger, you are fired!"

Night had fallen. Hope walked away slowly in her own peculiar rhythm. Traders under the streetlights stared. Tired and cold, she found a wooden bench in front of a closed shop, curled up, and fell asleep under the open sky.

CHAPTER 5: THE ACCIDENT

Early the next morning, the shop owner found her sleeping there.

"Hey! Get out of my shop now!" he tapped her roughly.

Hope rubbed her eyes, disoriented, making only soft sounds.

"What kind of trouble is this early this morning? Get out of here!" He pushed her away.

Confused and hungry, Hope wandered aimlessly. People stared. "Who is that girl? She looks like a special needs child. Poor thing."

Her stomach growled. She saw a woman selling bread on a tray. She walked up quietly, picked up a loaf, tore it open, and began to eat hungrily.

When the seller turned and saw her, she screamed, "Thief! Thief! How dare you steal my bread? I will beat you today!" She grabbed a stick.

Terrified, Hope dropped the bread and ran. The woman chased her, shouting.

In her panic, Hope didn't look. She ran straight into the middle of the busy road.

A car was coming at full speed.

There was a loud screech of brakes. A heavy thud. Hope's small body was thrown to the ground.

People screamed.

The driver, a young man in his thirties, jumped out in shock. He saw the little girl lying motionless, blood on her forehead, bread still clutched in her tiny hand.

"Oh my God! Someone help!" he shouted. He picked her up gently, placed her in his back seat, and sped off to the nearest hospital.

In her pocket was still folded the little crayon drawing she had made for her mother.

2. Biological burden: , God designed women's waist differently. I am not denying the pain women go through during child birth but my point is that the pain will be more excruciating on men if men were to give birth.

3. Judgment: . A murderer is condemned to death unlike a female murderer that is either set free or jailed for for some years. A poor woman is respected and defended. A poor man is treated as if he is not a human. A poor woman is accepted for marriage, poor man is rejected. Paternity fraud is not a crime but a man cheating on his wife is a crime.

4. Career + Home: ... Because most (not all) women refuse to stay at home. They want to go to work to use bottom power to snatch jobs and promotions from men and show off wigs. Women who work with good intentions do not sound as you do here.
Paternity fraud is not a crime indeed! Many women that can cope with unfaithful husbands and boyfriends for years but once they find out the woman is unfaithful, they send her home packing. Even many traditions spare unfaithful husband. To them, men are polygamous in nature. But they forbid the same for an unfaithful housewive. ⁴
