You see my brother, I read your thread line and I am truly touched. But the thing is that most people too are jobless that is why the response is low plus scam is the reality in today's Nigeria; it is the order of the day. If you look at it more closely, you will realise that what you re asking for as starting capital is not too much but people are simply scared of scammers. Moreso, people may be quiet or keeping it away from you but I will say it. What I see is that you are very desperate currently because of your current condition or predicament (don't get me wrong, it is a good energy for someone who want to kick start a business), but people may be afraid of what you may likely put up or display when things begins to look good. Because let me tell you my brother, people (human being) can be very unpredictable. Like me now, I have tried to partnering with individuals severally, but Bros dem don chop me well well for this life. I have been grossly cheated severally. Na people dey make wey person no dey fit help person due to bitter and unfavorable past experiences. So my brother, people are scared especially strangers who they know little or nothing about. All they see is what you have posted but they don't know you in person. Not that what you have posted is not enough to kick start something with you but the problem is the kind of country Nigeria has become. I see you saying God knows all you have posted is the truth and nothing but the truth, but bros people have enormously used the name of God to dupe people in Nigeria wella no be today. But haven said all what I have said, I am also jobless for now, l have a masters degree but I lost my job early this year and till now I have not been able to secure another. I am still considering maybe or not I will be partnering with you because of the points I have raised earlier. Dont be offended as there is no crime in trying to be careful. The truth is that I don't have much money but I have almost all the materials you need for the business. The only thing is that I am based in Kano although I see that it is not far from your beloved Abuja. Plus I schooled in Jos so I am also familiar with the Jos terrain which you proposed. I don't have what it takes to do any other form of investment other than partnership but seriously I will need to know more about you for me to break or step down on my decision of never to do business with strangers again. Looking forward to hear from you. Thanks

Thank You my brother, I understood your concern about trying to be careful but that is not me, I'm someone who have a skill, who want to put my knowledge and skill into use instead of looking for a job at this age, I want to do what I'm very good at, so if you have most of the materials , that will be helpful you mentioned that you are also presently jobless now, that will even make us a good team and you will also have something to keep yourself busy.

can you please list what you have please? lets see how this can work.

a simple first aid trick would have saved him, he should have laid flat in that very position and raise his affected leg up above his heart to ensure adequate blood supply to the heart, after tying that his knee, a sitting or standing position is most dangerous position to be when you are bleeding below on your leg, if cut is on your hand, raise the hand above your head in a sitting position, recovery position.

I wonder the kind of education we are having in Nigeria, you can get materials for First Aid treatment online, including videos.

we are suffering in this country, if you are poor and no one is willing to assist you, your condition will remain so for ever, if I have connection to live under that bridge, I will join them because I have something that can keep me busy in Lagos but accommodation is my problem , I have lived in the bus before, I left Lagos the day some boys came vandalizing parked cars in the night, it was God that saved me that night, they said they are one million boys, police came trying to stop them, I was caught up in the middle , I used to sleep with workman coverall wear, once sleeping in post office premises, but they stopped us, its not easy when you want to survive in this country, you must take risk, government does not care.

if you look at my last post, you will see what I'm battling with in life, at least this one have 50,000

Thanks for your words. I will stay off your thread.

I will never be in your position by God's Grace.

I have taken time and interest in your post mostly at the early hours of the morning, while trying to give suggestions and clarify things. To know how I may help. But that seems to anger you.

Even telling me to stay off your thread and face my lesbian Swindling business. No worries. That's ok by me.

You even went to the extent of cursing me.. Haha. Sorry it won't work. Doesn't work that way. For me not to be like you, to let you know I have pardoned you despite your utterances towards me.

I will give you a very small token, a fraction of free funds you would have received from me. Because I don't do attitude. Mind you, I don't receive free money either, I work hard for it in a very cold climate.

Certainly you will meet better people who will help you.

You can send me your bank details here. You don't have to thank me. I will be signing off your post as ordered by you. Good luck in your endeavours.

It hurts when you said I had a job, I have tried so many means to find capital to start, I even tried Port Harcourt , when I couldnt get a job, to survive I went to a company behind Trans -Amadi post office, they have about 18 trailers, I begged them and they told me they dont pay motor boys, that is the term used when referring to trailer conductor , they said they only accept those willing learn how to drive trailer, but the driver will be giving me chop money, I was ready to dump my university degree and learn, I was attached to Chuwkudi, he drank heavily and rammed into poles along choba road, he said he must shine his eyes , he scratched a car and we were beaten up, the other time we went to Onne , custom officers flagged him down, he didnt stop even though he has all papers, he didnt go to school and so believed you have to run when you see officials even when he has all papers, they chased us down and when we eventually stopped , the toll was on me, we knelt down for hours till manager came , the other time, we were going to warri, he parked the truck at Auda LG and said " na here we go sleep, I dey come! he went to sleep with prostitute and showed up the next morning, mind you bad boys came with gallon around 1am, trying to steal diesel from the truck, I screamed and they ran away, he eventually crashed the truck and he was sacked , no truck to work with except a conductor is absent, which hardly happens..

I'm not trying to be rude please, it only hurts me that you find it hard to believe I'm saying the truth, I have conscience , I'm not looking to use dubious means to get money, I even served brick layers for two weeks on construction site about two months ago, everyone referring to me on site as Sir, Sir, Sir, Sir go and measure a certain number of head pans of soft and sharp sand , go and bring cement and mix it, and I put in my best into it because if I do not do it well, the bricklayer will avoid pairing with me for work next day, sometimes I had to serve two masons for a day pay , mixing 7bags, I looked at my feet and see what cement has done to my legs after saving 12,000 in two weeks considering I had to eat and I shed tears , I even went the warehouse opposite Michelin police station in Port Harcourt to offload rice, we even fight to get the job, and behold after offloading the whole truck, my share N950, when holding the sack in attempt to lift it up peeled back of my finger skin , I noticed half way into the job, but I couldnt stop, those boys were even carrying two bags at a time, and I have to keep up with their pace and they were shouting! I looked at the N950 and shed tears, after eating what will be left? they are just menial jobs, if you can help me get a job to enable me save up to kick start the business, may be on a 6months project going on somewhere, I will appreciate you for the rest of my life.. I dont mean to be rude at all, pardon me, forgive me for my utterances and if you want to still support me with a token , I will prefer you make it public here please and even if it can only get me a pastry pan, I will buy it and post the photo here with the receipt.

NB:1. Note that I have not received any help from anyone , I want this to be 100% open and transparent.

Op. You don't need to be whinging. Basically, you have put up an estimate of starting capital to the tune of #350, 000 thereabout.

Must you start on a large scale by renting a shop, what happens to starting small then expanding as the business advances ?

Have you considered starting from home to reduce starting cost capital? Considering the fact that you have a family house.

What did you study? On what basis have you concluded that your certificate is useless?

From the estimates you have presented, What fraction of it do you have? Or Have you come up with?

I don't see you as being jobless. Cos you have stated in previous post how you work with mates around the country. Nothing stops you from still working with them while you source funds for your own venture.

It's more of wanting to establish your own business and not basically about joblessness.

you seem not to understand , if you are not investing or helping, then stay off this thread! my friend in Lagos used to call me once in a while whenever he needs more hands to get the job done, not all the time, and at the end of the day, he pays me 5,000 , sometimes he only calls me twice in a month, lets say he call me to meet him in Ibadan and I spent 1,000 Naira to meet him there, how do I safe from that after paying 1000 back to my base? can 3,000 sustain for me 2weeks? I left for a laborer job to enable me raise capital and when they asked me to serve two mason and mix 7bags of cement for 2,000 per day, with cement eating my feet, I had to run.., I'm presently squatting with a friend, one of those I had helped before, and I'm no longer in South West, what family house are you talking about? do you know where I am presently ? do you know where my family house is? please pay attention to your lesbian swindling business and stay off a threads like this, don't be responsible for someone death, I'm already contemplating suicide .. you don't know what I'm going through..

God knows there is no single lie in what I said on here, and if I what I have said is true and you are just trying to chase potential investor or helper away from me, may God put you in my present position.

give me a better advice and just assume I have a job!

how else do I start small? teach me.. I'm listening..

Poor presentation.
No financial estimates .
No business structure.

You mean you can't buy a pastry pan or rolling pin?
People need figures, estimates.

Do you think the pictures will get you the loan?
Do you think sentiments will get you the loan?
Pls do your homework.
What start up capital are you talking about?
Where will you be operating from?
How do you intend to service your loan?

Nothing evidenced to convince anyone to take the risk of investing their funds in your project.

All I have read here is you have experience in making yummy snacks and how you come from poor home.

You need loan, yet nothing about the loan. No location.

You mean you can't buy a pastry pan or rolling pin?

Yes, I can buy pastry pan and rolling pin if I sell my phone but its not sufficient to start the business because I also need small gas cooker , oven, fridge, freezer, space, pastry table, mince meat machine etc..

People need figures, estimates

at this time I'm ready to start from anywhere, so I will be able to work with any budget as long as I can set up a kitchen, a kind of work station even at home will even do, I belief I can not set the tone because the only choice is to manage any available resources right now

Do you think the pictures will get you the loan?

I know the picture will not get me a loan but to let a potential investor see what I need, someone may even have those things rotting away in their backyard, not necessarily loan , a potiential investor may even have a freezer rotten away at home, those things can be put together for the business Sir/Ma

Do you think sentiments will get you the loan?

I dont understand what you mean by sentiment, I just want to try rather than dying of depression at home, I'm a graduate, I have no job, I have skill but I have no equipment to start, I'm tired of depending on a friend to come back from work to come and buy me food, I'm tired of hanging with friends because I can not pay my own house rent, so..I'm just trying to put only skill I have to use and I'm confident I will succeed if given a chance, I have searched for job as a cook, chef or baker, but they think I have too much experience, so the best thing is to find a way out! I dont want to die of depression .

Pls do your homework _____________ are you willing to partner with me? what are the things you think I should find out about please? I was thinking of getting a shop or have a container stationed around one of these garden in Abuja before now but the cost alone will discourage people, so I'm thinking of just having a shop around the busy area of town, where people can pick up snacks, place order for events and just use the place as kitchen, were we will bake and prepare anything and send them to the venue, be it conference , executive meetings , wedding.. etc

What start up capital are you talking about?

500,000 can start something , but 1.5m will set get us sailing smooth in a well presentable form

Where will you be operating from? depend on available resources, that is why I didnt state any amount, if we have enough, we can rent a place and modify it, if not we can even just set up a kitchen equipped with the those equipment above and then be supplying..

How do you intend to service your loan?
if it come as a loan, you just need to give me a bank account where I will be remitting to every monday, at least any event I handle over the weekend would have paid by then.

Nothing evidenced to convince anyone to take the risk of investing their funds in your project.
evident as how? please what do you want to know please?

All I have read here is you have experience in making yummy snacks and how you come from poor home. , ____________ yes I'm great at it, when I make meat pie, yes it will be meat pie and not curry/thyme pie!

You need loan, yet nothing about the loan. No location.
____________________ I didnt put location because I'm ready to do business anywhere, but I'm very familiar with , Port Harcourt and Jos, they are my first choice, I have worked with my friend in Lagos , a very popular brand when it come to smallchops/ catering business in Lagos, though I will prefer we set up in Abuja because I do not want to have conflict with him, he can take South West, I will take Abuja and nearby states, my plan is to have a base in Jos and be shooting from there because the materials are very much available in abundant and the cost of renting shop is cheaper compare to Abuja or Lagos, if I can do one or two jobs, the jobs will speak for me and then I can be going with my team to Abuja to work, even my friend who is based in Lagos works in Ijebu Ode, Abeokuta, Oyo, Oshogbo, Port Harcourt , Abuja ..already majority of event in Abuja are being handled by Lagos event planners and caterers. I dont want location to be a barrier.
