For me, I will join soonest, I have serious reason why any tecno phones is not an option for me! (note I used N3, am using L3 now)

Their phones support only one frequency Band : GSM900/1800MHz
WCDMA2100MHz and I seriously need 900Mhz for HDSPA+ apart from that, OTA plus ability to tweak your phone with difference custom roms will keep you dancing for long time without getting bored or feeling need to upgrade.

HERE SHOULD BE SOLUTION GROUND NOT FIGHTING PLACE PLEASE!

Dont be deceived, a mediatek device is always dirt cheap! Google xiaomi phones, their snapdragon devices have outrageous price tags, while their xiaomi red rice running on mediatek is CHEAP (130$ FOR A 1.5GHZ QUADCORE DEVICE!)..
Its just business for tecno, but for tecno fanboys, its been blinded by ignorance and sentiments..

I have seen it, it is also called Xiaomi Hongmi or Red Rice. upon all the spec that it pack dat beat gionee E3, gionee Dream D1 and Phantom A2 hands down, infact no gionee or tecno product near am, may be E6. they said the manufacturing cost only $85 ( less than N14,000) chai nawao! and it is just $130 (less than N21,000) and also said they just manufactured it to make profit for making high end phone. I fear guy!!!!

All android os is the same provided is 4+ It even come with preinstalled themes with gionee custom UI.

The truth is that is few people here that has not use tecno. But we want improvement after all they are doing there business. check out India, more than 6 manufacturer are competing including gionee dat join them recently, what was the results: the cheapest 4.2 jelly bean, 4" 1,3Ghz we re benefitting from, maxx canvas, xolo etc have up their game because of it & come out with new product, news will also filter to tecno & they will come out better surely. let's not forget they are doing business for gain so it will help us get best value out of our money.

I will advice you run away from all these clone phone that try to imitate reputable phone without company of their own, most of them are real fake fancy phone, good for nothing absolutely without authorised android OS. it worst phone in the mkt simple. Run guy.

Try removing. your email account in gmail, anywhere you have login ur gmail remove the account, clear data/cache in play store and any google related services try open the play store first if it didn't work you have repeat this again and try open play store first this time try to sign up new email.

They tried but when I see any one dat is better I take it sharp. I didn't dream N3 is better than L3 until I used. For now gionee is more standard like gionee p2 compare to this p5.

My brother, the problem with most of nairalanders is that when they see specs they will be talking here as if they have handle both phone they comparing, they will not even allow you ask questions because they have seen the spec. If all comments here are base on real life review ppl would hav known that most of these tecno are recycle.
