mercylicious: I believe its cos he said oando biz is now 80percent upstream, while midstream and downstream takes 20 percent. Most institutional investors believe upstream is very risky and requires continuos capital raising.
Let's see how it goes.

I have a feeling nem will give 8 to 10 percent div yield on current price, but wen is d questn. Does anyone know if nem has been cleared by naicom and submitted result to nse?

Toluway: You made a whole lot of sense Mercilicious. Meristem also couldn't get me abc transport for about 10 days.
I'm tied of all this. When a stock has proved to be viable, your broker wont get it, but when you wake to buy nonsense, they get it within 30 minutes.
I want to attempt to buy Ashaka Cement tomorrow, will my broker get it? na wa o. When you buy in car park, you can't be sure.
Though you will dicover in this kind of stocks that there are bids but no offer.

Thank God o. Our car park rusty Japaul has finally taken off. Offer is also unavailable.

MayBaker
Neimeth Pharmaceuticals
Hot stocks. There are bids but no offer o.
Car park id the best bet to get your stock but not a good strategy.
Oga abeg where do you see those on bid and on offer?

Morgan capital is really good and I have enjoyed the 0% brokerage fee in the past week. I just started using them since November and I am satisfied with their service. Their online platform is also robust and alot detailed.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by excellence13: 9:05pm On Nov 29, 2013
I use both meristem and morgan capital. No doubt meristem is good (you can even place orders till 12 noon), but Morgan capital also offers pretty decent services. Infact, I find the online platform of Morgan Capital much more easy to use, functional and detailed than that of Meristem. They also do respond to my emails. I was surprised when I got a response from the CEO himself. I believe they run as lean /efficient as possible, to maintain the low brokerage fee.

For anyone intending to trade often ( not long-termers), its a no brainer to go with Morgan capital. Like someone mentioned earlier you don't even notice the charges. On the long run you save a lot and can even invest the savings that would have instead gone as brokerage fee.

Thats all!
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by excellence13: 10:56pm On Oct 23, 2013
Abeg, is anyone using Morgan Capital stockbrokers? How is the experience like?
I am thinking of porting there.
Thank you.

If they were bought when the shares were well over 40 Naira its alot. I don't know at what price they were bought.
Ofcourse there are more than 100 stocks on the NSE, of which oando is just one and its management happen to be "stealing" from us the shareholders at the moment, irrespective of our calling.

Chibuhealth: I dont think u knw wat u are getting ursekf into......see let me tell u, we dont see God, the God we see is our Spritual directors be it a pastor or Rev fr.....so, anything we offer to God must land in their hands...... Tithe is another way of getting rich incase u dont no, so stop talking like a pagan.....with this ur post,u failed woefully....go and sit down.....mind u,u wuld be judged with watever u said on d last day.......give something to God,then forgets who takes it or not....watch ur tongue... Antichrist.
Case closed, your agenda is to get rich. Whereas Christ wants us to give all we have to the poor and follow him. If I might add, I live in a society where the pensioners drive the best cars, live decently and their churches don't collect tithe.

The gospel of tithing only thrives in Nigeria because people are anxious/fearful of the future. In a country where people work honestly and diligently in their youth, only to live in misery at old age. Hence creating an avenue ,where the preaching of tithing is a form of insurance for future riches.

You deserve to be deceived, if you don't study the word of God diligently. It is not surprising, that in a country where very few homes even have neither toolboxes nor first aid kit, people don't embrace DIY (Do it yourself. We depend on others to interpret the bible for us.

Ever wondered why Christ taught us to ask for daily bread, not monthly, yearly or future bread?

tomaagy: Its your life!!! Just beware how ur utterances or so called sudden revolution imparts on the life of people who cant decide for themselves!

The koko is this if you cant part with 10% of wat you have freely! You are a greedy person which is not christianly!

I am not a frequent tither though i wish i could be, and neither do i pay my tithes in a single church!

Sometimes ive used my tithe to purchase needs for the church! Understanding matters.... but please watever ur personal convictions regarding tithe dont make a law out of it..

if u search the bible enough u will see any scripture to back even committing murder! its free will
DO u part with 10% of what you have to the poor and truly needy?

Matthew 25: 35-40

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Sagewood: The bottom line: buy stocks at the IPO or before they go too high. Once they peak, the law of gravity takes over.
Be careful of IPO, its almost always overvalued. Look at all the forecasts made in the prospectus of IPO's since 2007 and see how many of them met their forecasts.
