Madrid was winner as at 2008. They were mostly 2nd(if not always) as at 2009 before mou won it in 2012. Meaning just 3 seasons of hustling it with barca. Not as if Madrid is one Sevilla or Villarreal that he won it with barca with.

McTom actually started out as a striker in the youth team. He’s been shuffled all over the pitch (mostly at the spine though) so that has affected his game somehow.

But if you don’t have what’s necessary to play a role, no form of coaching can make you play that role, especially if you’re not a young player. You cannot turn Fred into a prime AM or Ronaldo into a dependable CM. You just kent.

I know people will say its a bias take, but truth must be said. Dean Henderson was very outstanding yesterday, making crucial saves and very calming presence in the box and cut out certain dangers by perfectly sweeping the dangers off with excellent timing. Most importantly he is very vocal. I saw him towards the end barking orders at Maguire and Lindelof to move up the pitch.

We have been asking for a fast defender because pacy opponents make us vulnerable, Henderson cut out 3 certain attempts on goal yesterday that i remember off my head by reacting very quick, and when you realise its Kane/Son charging at those ball, you know the outcome. Goal keeping is not just making reflex saves from attempts you should have cut out since, modern goalkeeping require you will be good on the ball, be a proper sweeper, command your box with authority and organise your defence well , as well as making reflex saves as the cases may be. TBH, Henderson ticks these boxes better than all our current GKs.

Without these qualities we will be restricted to just counter attack because our backfive will be hesitant to be adventurous
