Residents of the Hideaway Hills subdivision are now suing South Dakota, Meade County, and developers of the subdivision for more than $75,000,000. The lawsuit on behalf of 119 homeowners also includes counts against title companies involved in sales of the homes, attorneys for previous owners, and real estate agents who sold the homes. The residents are seeking more than $35,000,000 in compensatory damages, $40,000,000 in exemplary damages, and “such other relief as the court deems equitable”.

A car was also discovered in the mine.
|
“The full extent of the mine is still unknown as passages are either collapsed in, flooded, or too dangerous to enter”
|
“Upon entering, we immediately realized that it was an abandoned gypsum mine" “We determined that the mine was over 2K feet across and over 150 feet wide. It went directly under more than 12 homes”

About a dozen houses in Black Hawk, South Dakota, were evacuated after a sinkhole opened under the Hideaway Hills. The ground started to give way on the 27th of April and while it has left a lot of uncertainty for the locals, the situation has led to a unique discovery. The authorities are already trying to figure out how this could’ve happened but in the meantime, explorers of a local caving group called decided to take a look inside. https://www.boredpanda.com/sinkhole-south-dakota-black-hawk-old-gypsum-mine/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic

tescoman90:That's a gun bro, not teaser. A guy was shot for threatening officers with rubber lawn tennis bat. Almost 4 officers against rubber bat ![]() As an officer, ive been trained to disarm/detain people with weapons (not guns). As an officer, even if you hit me with that plastic bat, i cant die, shooting him isn't the next option for me. I have baton, i have teaser. Back to the topic, i can call for backup, he left behind a white Toyota Camry which i believe there will be registration/documents having his data. Worst case, i can shoot his ass as he was running, that won't kill him. |
optm:How we comprehend sometimes differs, some does from behind or underneath. What the guy did was wrong, you don't struggle or argue with these cops. Just do as they they say most especially if you're coloured. He wrestled, grabbed officers teasers, that's wrong. Still, shooting him dead is not the next option. The teaser he pointed at them can't kill them. Ive see many videos of white dudes, resisting arrest, struggling/wrestling/punching officers. One of the videos i attached here, one dude fought and overpowered two officers, he grabbed their guns and drove away their ford. Another one attacked officers with axe. They don't shoot them most times, rather, they call for backup. A black guy was shot in the chest early this year threatening officers with just a rubber bat. They shot one white guy holding a gun, but after warning and begging him for almost 30mins with squad of cops. See these videos: https://www.instagram.com/p/CBJk-W0h6er/?igshid=6uzyj4pt8eh7 https://www.instagram.com/tv/CAvXmFeBVry/?igshid=wou7rjb6w7y1 |
tescoman90:The issue is, they shot a fleeing unarmed man from behind. Though he grabbed a teaser from the officers, but he was fleeing already. He obeyed them for over 30mins in the full video and the struggle started when they wanted to cuff him despite doing all they asked. |
CAPSLOCKED:I've seen many of their videos arresting citizens on fb pages like Police Central, etc. Some of these police officers are just bullies. Sometimes they frustrate you despite not resisting, drag you, push you, hurt you so that you can respond or fight back. Giving them a reason to use their guns or teaser. Someone gave himself up for cuffing, he stepped out of the vehicle, put his hand behind for cuffs, but the officers were still dragging him to the ground to cuff him using force. This lady, Breona Taylor, EMT Officer was shot dead in the middle of the night in her home by the police in March, 2020. They bursted her home unannounced, the boyfriend thought they're robbers, drew his gun and the police opened fire on them, hitting the lady 8x. Some of the police officers don't use their head before acting.

About 30 minutes into the interaction, Rolfe tells Brooks that he believes he is too drunk to operate a motor vehicle and that he is being placed under arrest. As the officers begin to handcuff him, Brooks struggles, knocking the bodycamera off.

Atlanta police chief, Erika Shields resigned on Saturday after video emerged of another fatal police shooting of an African American, and as protests over police brutality and racism continued for the third straight weekend. Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who announced Shields’s departure, also called for the immediate termination of the police officer involved in the shooting of 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks after a DUI stop, saying she did not “believe that this was a justified use of deadly force.” Link to Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOiKgmCJwls https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/06/13/atlanta-shooting-police/%3foutputType=amp

The arrests followed investigation of Rafiki's death 'after a postmortem report revealed that the Silverback sustained an injury by a sharp device/object that penetrated its left upper part of the abdomen up to the internal organs'. One of the detained men, Byamykama Felix, of Murole villa, Kisoro District, had been found in possession of wild hog meat, rope and wire snares and spears, the statement said. The man 'confessed to killing the gorilla in self-defence,' the statement said, adding he said it charged at him while he and a colleague, Bampabenda Evarist, were hunting in the park. If they are convicted of killing the much-loved animal under a wildlife protection law, which was passed last year, they could face life imprisonment or fines of up to £4.3million.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the death of one of the world's most popular gorillas. Silverback gorilla Rafiki, which translates as 'friend' in English, was killed in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda, after going missing on June 1. After a search party was sent to find him, his body was discovered the following day stabbed by what appeared to be a spear. The 25-year-old male was the leader of a group of 17 endangered mountain gorillas, called Nkuringo, consisting of three other adult males, eight females, two juveniles and three infants. They live at the UNESCO world heritage site near Uganda's border with the Democratic Republic of Congo and are used to human contact. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8415333/Popular-25-year-old-Ugandan-gorilla-killed-UNESCO-park.html
