Venezuelan security forces lead one of the men arrested on Monday for reportedly participating in a plan to kill President Maduro and topple his socialist government with help from the United States and Colombia. Maduro ally and Attorney General Tarek William Saab said in a press conference (pictured) that in total they've arrested 114 people suspected in the attempted attack and they are on the hunt of 92 others. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) led a campaign to oust Maduro, indicting the socialist leader as a narco-trafficker and offering a $15 million reward for his arrest in March. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8287851/Two-mercenaries-arrested-failed-attempt-kill-Venezuelas-President-Maduro.html?ito=social-facebook

Dramatic moment Venezuelan army foils 'amateur' coup attempt led by Green Beret with his two Special Forces buddies - and 'backed by shadowy US billionaires' - as they set out to assassinate President Maduro with '300 hungry, untrained men' The moment two U.S. former special forces soldiers were arrested in Venezuela was dramatically caught on video as their 'plot to assassinate President Nicolás Maduro' was foiled. The coup was coordinated by an ex-Green Beret named Jordan Goudreau, 43, who says the objective was to capture Maduro. Goudreau claims to have built a force of 300 men, reportedly backed by US billionaires. President Maduro called the arrested men 'terrorist mercenaries’ and blamed the attacks on the Trump administration, Venezuela's opposition leader Juan Guaidó and neighboring Colombia, all of which have denied involvement.

Movies will have you believe ar-15s are deadlier after all they appears to be very badass guns. Yes, The Prime Minister said in his speech something like ' These gun are designed to kill more people, as many as possible in a short moment' Most mass shooters are never 400 meters away from their targets. Here, i gave the range when you mentioned the impact of shotgun. When there's shot fire anywhere, people disperse, take cover and try to escape. If the shooter can get a clean shot, no matter how far the target (within 400m), he can take his target out compared to shotgun. Now about rounds yes, the normal ar-15 magazine can carry many bullets than say a short gun, but do you know in Canada for decades there has been a limited number of bullet that every gun magazine can have? So the same limitation you get with a short gun you will also have with the AR, at least in Canada. Here, as a mass shooter, the action/plan is illegal already. They won't give a Bleep about the law or limitation or anything. They will go for the highest capacity mags available, either black market or smuggling. so how will they stop criminals from getting guns from their ever willing sources? Now that assault/military grade weapons have been banned, it means no civilian/business can display, purchase or own them. No sales and production/importation will be controlled by the government henceforth. The source will now be operating illegally and in fear. Police will start investigating bursting their operations due to this development. Most times, demands dictate to source. |
henryobinna:We're talking about rounds here. AR-15 can fire over 100 rounds in 20seconds with high capacity magazines. The regular magazines of AR15 holds around 30 bullets, a shooter can carry 10-20 magazines at a time. That's around 600 rounds. Shotguns hold 5-10 rounds in the barrel at a time. When you're out, you need to reload which can take several seconds. So how many people can you kill with shotgun? Forget movies, you can even kill more people with sem-auto handguns than shotguns. Finally, shotguns are for close range, 50meters. AR-15 range is around 400metres - 600metres. |

Thanks sir, i'm honoured. May the soul of the departed rest in peace. Those who deactivate, those offline, i hope they're all well. |
tillaman:Is a matter of time. |
rottennaija:I see this happening in the United States someday. Citizens/Civilians will have the right to carry arms, but just handguns, shotguns, and some light rifles. Assault rifles, military grade weapons will be taken away, is a matter of time. |
Here the president is pictured with Vice President Mike Pence at Camp David in 2017. Camp David is the country retreat for the president of the United States. It is located in the wooded hills of Catoctin Mountain Park, in Frederick County, Maryland, near the towns of Thurmont, and Emmitsburg, about 62 miles (100 km) north-northwest of the national capital city of Washington, D.C. Construction started in 1935 and was completed in 1938. Camp David received its present name in 1953 from Dwight D. Eisenhower, in honor of his father, and grandson, both named David. Wikipedia

Hail to the chief: A Marine salutes as Donald Trump climbs the steps to Marine One for the trip to Camp David. Donald Trump has not been on Marine One since March 28, when he went to Norfolk, Virginia, to see off the USNS hospital ship Comfort as it was deployed to New York to help the crisis-hit hospitals system. Donald Trump and his entourage head for Camp David with a smaller than usual crowd to watch him go.

Donald Trump left the White House late Friday afternoon, ending a 32-day lockdown by boarding Marine One to Camp David for a weekend with officials and promising to socially distance when he is there. The president took with him a group of senior officials. Departure: President Donald Trump stopped only briefly to answer questions from reporters as he left the White House for the first time since March 28. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced an immediate ban Friday on the sale and use of assault-style weapons in Canada, two weeks after a gunman killed 22 people in Nova Scotia. Trudeau cited numerous mass shootings in the country, including the rampage that killed 22 in Nova Scotia April 18 and 19. He announced the ban of over 1,500 models and variants of assault-style firearms, including two guns used by the gunman as well as the AR-15 and other weapons that have been used in a number of mass shootings in the United States. Erin’s dad Wayne explained that the virus had hit her hard and there were ups and downs, but it serves as proof that the coronavirus is not a death sentence for people who have other pre-existing conditions. She overcame the problems and is now living with a smile on her face. Throughout this time, only one parent was allowed to stay with the baby at the hospital, and that was Erin’s mother Emma. However, for the first time in a while since the COVID-19 diagnosis, Wayne was finally able to go to the hospital and see his daughter.

As if things weren’t bad already, on April 10th, Erin contracted the coronavirus, effectively extending her ongoing 4-month stay at the hospital. However, by this point, she is a certified warrior and, despite her life hanging by a thread, the doctors announced that she had pulled through and beaten COVID-19.

Meet Erin, the 6-month-old baby who has shown that nothing is ever truly impossible in the face of diversity. Emma and Wayne Bates had been trying to conceive for ten years when they received word that they were finally expecting. Baby Erin was born October 8th, 2019. Two months later, on November 29th, they found out that little Erin had a rare & dangerous heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallots. Another month later, on December 23rd, Erin had the much-needed Fallot heart repair surgery and spent a week in intensive care. After only two days in the cardiac ward, she was admitted back to the ICU after contracting RSV, a virus that causes respiratory tract infections. Her lungs ended up collapsing and she was diagnosed with bronchomalacia, the weakening of cartilage in the walls of the bronchial tubes, and tracheomalacia, the narrowing of the airways. It was eventually discovered that she couldn’t breathe without the help of a breathing machine due to the fact that her heart had grown in a way that pushes against her airways. Since then, the parents were told to prepare for an extended stay at the hospital as Erin will have to grow bigger and to see if things work out on their own in a few months’ time. If not, they will try surgery again. https://www.boredpanda.com/baby-beats-coronavirus-covid-19-recovery/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic Lalasticlala, Mynd44

Rescue teams began a search and found a severed leg the following morning before trapping the crocodile in nets. After shooting it dead, they cut open the reptile's belly and pulled the gruesome body parts out of its stomach.
