The devastation caused by Hurricane Irma has left a Caribbean island uninhabited by civilisation 'for the first time in 300 years'. All of Barbuda's 1,800 residents have been evacuated and more than 95 per cent of its structures have been damaged after the ferocious storm hit its shores last week. The Category 5 hurricane battered the Caribbean with winds of up to 185mph leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4887088/Hurricane-Irma-wiped-Barbuda-ambassador-reveals.html

It remains in the same condition as it was after completing the jump. It performed the move first time and bares no scars from its heroics. The sale includes plenty of documentation, including photographs of the stunt taking place. It will be sold from Jay Milligan's collection - the man who conceived the corkscrew jump five years before the release of the film.

James Bond is famous for driving Aston Martins. But throughout his existence on pages and the big screen, 007 has sometimes branched to a car showroom further a field. There was the Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me in 1977, the 1995 BMW Z3 from Golden Eye and who could forget the appearance of the Ford Mondeo in Casino Royale in 2006? But arguably the most famed non-Aston vehicle driven by the fictional spy is set to go under the hammer in a week's time the genuine AMC Hornet X stunt car that performed the corkscrew jump in the 1974 film The Man With the Golden Gun. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/cars/article-4823666/Car-used-Man-Golden-Gun-stunt-auction.html Lalasticlala, Mynd44

The nearly nine-month search for a missing Boca Raton, Florida woman came to a close this weekend, thanks to Hurricane Irma preparations. Workers were draining the Boca Rio Canal on Saturday, ahead of the big storm, when they discovered a car that was hidden beneath the surface of the water. Inside the car was the body of 47-year-old Lori Feliciano-Pino, who had been missing since December. Lori's family learned about the discovery on Facebook, after gathering together to wait out the storm. Lori's sister Rosannie Feliciano says she was cooking food when the power went out, and another sister saw a photo of the car on Facebook. People had started commenting on the photo that it looked like the 2011 gray Toyota RAV4. Rosannie called the detective assigned to her sister's case, but didn't get an answer so she left a voicemail. She says she wanted to drive out to see the car, but it was 3pm and there was a curfew for the impending hurricane. A few hours later, she says the detective called her back and confirmed that it was her sister. He said that her belongings had been found in the car, along with the body of a woman with black hair, just like Lori's. 'I was initially completely shocked, then was very angry,' she told the Palm Beach Post. 'I can’t tell you how many times I said (to detectives) can we please check this canal because it was close to where she lived.' The family still don't know how Lori died, but having her body is bringing them a sense of closure. 'I feel like years would have went by if it weren’t for something horrible like the hurricane to happen because we would never have found her,' Rosannie said. 'Out of something tragic, something good. Now we can start to heal and grieve.' Lori was last seen leaving her house the night of December 19, after having an argument with her husband. Police say her husband was never a suspect in her disappearance. Police had nothing to go on because Lori's phone had died and there were no bank transactions to follow. She disappeared just a week before she was due to travel north to spend Christmas with her family. She was a mother of two and a grandmother of two. Pictured below is Lori's car in the bottom of the Boca Rio Canal. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4885498/Missing-woman-s-body-canal-drained-Irma.html Lalasticlala, Mynd44

9. Three guests check into a hotel room. The clerk says the bill is $30, so each guest pays $10. Later the clerk realizes the bill should only be $25. To rectify this, he gives the bellhop $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room, the bellhop realizes that he cannot divide the money equally. As the guests didn't know the total of the revised bill, the bellhop decides to just give each guest $1 and keep$2 for himself. Each guest got $1 back: so now each guest only paid$9; bringing the total paid to $27. The bellhop has $2. And $27 + $2= $29 so, if the guests originally handed over $30, what happened to the remaining $1? Lalasticlala, Mynd44

At the beginning of WW1, British soldiers wore brown cloth caps. But many soldiers were suffering from head injuries. The officials were worried about that so they issued an order to make helmets for their soldiers. However, the number of soldiers with head injuries increased after the change was made. Why do you think that happened?

Five men are going through the street. It starts raining. Four of them start moving faster. The fifth man makes no effort to run from rain, however, he stays dry. The other four get wet anyway. All of them arrive at their destination together. How could this be possible?
