Most times, we covet what we don't really need, we crave attention or validation from people who don't even give a damn about us, we build our lives not based on principles or personal ideals, but on societal norms, whether good or bad. It depends on individual skin type. As for me I have terrible itching after sponging. That experience is common when skin is dry.

As regards thorough cleanliness, a good exfoliation procedure done weekly more than makes up for the lack of daily sponging.
