Reading the various comments reminds me to be grateful for my situation no matter how hard it seems. I've lost a few acquaintances and peers over the years but never anyone really close to me.
To those who have, all I can say is 'It shall be well'.

Here's a more serious question: what's a woman's birthday and gender after marriage? A wife should adopt her husband's birthday and gender.

Abi o. Funny but just to show how a woman seems to no longer have an identity after marriage.
This is not to the OP - I know he asked an honest question.
Just a general remark.

No I haven't seen it, lemme know if it's worth my time.

What's the plot?

So far, JLo's character is a cash-strapped single mom who is part of a corrupt police unit which covers up police recklessness/mistakes, arrest bad guys who don't co-operate and collect money from those that do. She falls victim to an FBI set-up and must become a mole or else go to jail. How long she can carry on without being caught remains to be seen.
It's worth the while of one who is patient enough for plot and character build-up.

Religion / Re: The Fallacy Of Yearly Prophecies By Major HoAs by expozey(f): 1:10pm On Jan 07, 2016
analice107:

I agree with u sir.
Most Nigerians are lazy, and expect to be pushed all the time to do something. Some people are Physically and spiritually.
Especially spiritually. Most of us don't pray, I mean commune with God. We just go to church hoping that the pastor will perform miracles and gives us exactly what he desire.
There are principles guiding every ordnance in the scripture, but how many of us are applying or engaging those principles? It's just words. Most "Pastors" now know that, people will rather claim their blessings, than work them out, so have taken advantage of that angle, and are doing more harm than good.

Like LordReed said, it's meant to spur us up to engage the spiritual more, but engaging the spiritual without engaging in physical work, will amount to failure at the end of the year.

People are spiritually so lazy, that they rather let the pastor read the Bible, and regurgitate to them. What the Op is saying is so true, but how many read to know for themselves? And Satan ceasing the occasion, has build a monument of deceit in church.

Has anyone noticed that this fake pastors and prophets hold their church services on week days and during working hours? There's one close to my house. Tuesday 9am they have started, till 5pm. After which many will stay back to get personal prophecies from the prophet. Sometimes 10pm this folk are still in church.
Every other day is counselling. And to see the prophet, you buy a pass of 5,000.00k. Am serious. Not exaggerating.
Whatever you need the prophet to do for you, he charges according to your age. That's outside additional charges that accrues as you proceed.

How old are you?
40yrs. What do you want?
A husband.
Fine.
Your assignment fee is 40,000.00.

I know a family who brought their son who had health challenge. He was kind of mental. He charged them 300,0000.00 for their assignment fee. But they ended up living in that church premises for two good years. Money kept coming out of them. He told them he needed to go to their village to dig out a charm buried by their enemy, if not, the boy won't be well. But for that two years, he never found time to go. The boys father sold his land to see that his boy became well again. Yet nothing. At last, it became a very serious issue, to take his family out of the place, because the boys mother wont go home or accept to find help some where else. The prophet had her hypnotised, and all says was, "my Papa said".
Other methods had to be engaged to deliver this family out of that place.
Satan in the details.

Hmmm. People perish for lack of knowledge.

Praying for the year and hoping for a successful year is one thing. But failing to plan for the year, understand economic trends, and plan accordingly doth not a prayer help.

The world the Bible paints is far removed from the world in which millions of desperate Nigerians live in. Most of our academic institutions are glorified 'CERTIFICATE' centers. Rather than instill knowledge, they instill 'KNOWledge'; who you know na im u go use make am. There's little to no emphasis on basic virtues like trust, love, social responsibilities and how we are our society. These ideals are critical and necessary for a society to function optimally.

And so they've become a mockery,a charade. They preach lofty ideals on the pulpits, while corrupt politicians line the the front rows. 'The little kid sees this, he sees this clearly 'It's all about power. Get money, get power, then come dine with GOD'..

The solution isn't more Bible study, Nigerians have done enough of that. It's time to put our brains to use. You don't have to be a mumu to go to heaven.

U don talk am finish.
Religion in Africa is synonymous with 'don't use your brain'. You see those who tag you fake christian or rebellious because you don't sow seed or pay tithe coming to you (who decided to save or invest your money) for help in desperate situations. You begin to wonder if what they is real at all.
No matter how religious one is, a lack of planning will always mess you up. Nigeria being so religious yet so chaotic is a perfect example.

Did I just read Coca-cola will rebrand? What is happening to religion/spirituality nowadays? Does one need to be a prophet to know that? Rebranding is Coca-cola's second name hence their continued dominance of the soda market.

in my dictionary marriage is the biggest scam in 21st century. very soon in 22nd century it will be too obvious and clear to all. I need no marriage neither do I need a kid.

just me only after all the world is full of nonsense. I am fed up and tired. their is no meaning we all will die. and here comes tales of hell fire. so I don't want to bring anybody to this world to suffer in any form. enjoy and while it last. good bye.

@Joel3 Believe me I know that feeling. I also don't understand all that's going on in the world.
My greatest desire which I strive, dream and hope for is to leave an eternal legacy upon the earth. Anything else na jara.
