FamilyRe: TWO Years In Marriage!!! The Feeling, The Realization And Surprise. by EyeKandy(f): 7:21am On Oct 20, 2014
DailyNews:
1. Never marry a girl from a poor/struggling family background if u are financially buoyant as a guy- most of such ladies marry for money/material reasons, not for companionship, so let them marry their kind and work hard with him to become buoyant instead of using marriage as a short-cut to becoming rich.
True, but worse if it's the guy from a "not-so-buoyant" background. I mean, when a guy appears to be obsessed with your dad and being in his good books while he remains an insecure-saddist-turned-opportunist with you, there's hardly anything that pleases them. I'm writing from first hand experience. I either laugh at or pray for those who ignore socio-financial factors in relationships. Been there, done that!

ShoryuKen:
People in the ancient past married for position (royals to royals, etc.), and people in the recent past married for romance (romanticized by literature); but, with the advanced personality developments these days (overboard feminism, ideologies, séxual liberation, etc.), people should marry for philosophy – i.e. not to impress ones family, friends, or boost social status – do it from YOUR own convictions/the personality fit of a potential partner.

Philosophically, we should marry to be HAPPY; if you're not, it's advisable to quit it. Don't stay for any dogmatic reasons like family's impression, others gossip, or the popular one: "for the kids" – they'll probably be worse off psychologically in the long run, being around a loveless people, who are in a union that's been romanticized to project love.

Think deep about it, about YOUR future, then act – for personal reasons, and not dogmatic ones like religion, or societal opinions.

...bon voyage! smiley
Haven't been on this site in forever....Had to log in to LOVE this. Nicely written.

RomanceRe: Nigerian Men Abroad Prefer Marrying From Home? - Why? by EyeKandy(f):
Pathethic generalization!

Just as much Nigerian ladies go home to marry. Singling out Nigerian men is wrong. It has very little or nothing to do with character. The issue with some Nigerian ladies is that we want a man that has achieved higher than us.

If your husband brought you out of Nigeria, its either because (a) he's been rejected by most Nigerian ladies or (b) he lives in a city with few of us (c) you agreed to nursing school for reasons we all know. grin Nigerian ladies are funny!

Why do Nigerian ladies reject the suitors back home for men abroad? Why do most actresses marry guys abroad? Is there anything wrong with marrying men in Nigeria with decent pay, 9-5 bank workers, engineers, architects?

Geolalisa: @Lipsylicious

Try using St. Ives Apricot fresh skin scrub for your face. Use it consistently and am sure it will work for you. Cheers!!!!
Yes, yes! St. Ives Apricot Scrub (blemish remover) is the best thing you could apply on your face. If worked for me. Just be patient with it.
FashionRe: Should Ladies Buy Second-Hand Bras ? by EyeKandy(f): 5:20pm On Nov 27, 2013
uj_sizzle: That's funny. Grade A used bras are actually more expensive than their china made naija market filled counterparts.

Btw Victoria Secrets, CK=Quality.
No Ma'am. What's funny is that you know all the grades of used bras. grin I don't know about bra quality in Nigeria. VS, Agent Provocateur have nice bras and I've seen nicer unbranded bras too. Yes, made in China. FYI, most of these 'quality' bras are made in China too.
FashionRe: Should Ladies Buy Second-Hand Bras ? by EyeKandy(f): 5:02pm On Nov 27, 2013
If you can't afford new ones, maybe yes, but quality wise, I don't think all used bra offer better quality. It's advised to change your bras every 3-6 months so it makes no sense to me.

Most ladies buy used bras for brand names like Victoria Secret, CK, etc. Popular brand doesn't equal quality.

D'ciano:
How do u do all dis regimen when u have a weavon on?

Pls im curious! huh
Sew-in weaves are good for stretching. Before the weave is installed, make sure you do a protein treatment and deep condition. Depending on how far apart your hair are sewn in, you might be able to reach your scalp.

My secret - I use a clean cotton white napkin. Dip it in 30% conditioner + 70% water and scrub my scalp with it. Wash the napkin in clean water. Then use on my scalp till its completely clean. Let it air dry, then apply oils lightly to my scalp. I do this only on Saturdays.

FashionRe: Pls Advice!!! Which Cream Do I Rub To Maintain My Dark Skin Colour... by EyeKandy(f): 8:36pm On Nov 21, 2013
Aveeno (affordable) or Sheido Pureness moisturizer.

My skin tone is medium to dark like Mel B. I'm a product junkie so I've used almost every product out there. Palmers cocoa butter was my first cream, but its too oily. To maintain dark skin, learn to read product labels. Use any good moisturizer with the following base ingredients (Water, Shea butter, glycerin , ...dimethicone,). They're great for your skin.
