Should I disregard? It says "this visa application will ask you to upload a digital photo of yourself". I'm not sure if attaching it to the paper confirmation will suffice.

Tons of mini questions .. i'm sorry. cool

No, they don't have to. @the bolded talks of wait time already (though it could be less or even more some times).

Thank you. I'm online trying to get this done.

Question here guys!!

I tried to google this question and review past pages, but I figured I could get a quicker response this way. I would like to renew a US visit visa for a family member that came over to visit once last year. They had a 2-years visa that expires this month. I'm not sure what to send over to Nigeria except what google provides:

"Qualifying applicants will be prompted to print a letter confirming their eligibility for the program and instructing them to drop off the letter with their passport, application confirmation sheet, passport photos, visa fee receipt, and appropriate forms to one of the DHL facilities in Abuja or Lagos. The application packets are adjudicated and returned to the applicant’s selected DHL location within 7-10 business days."

In addition to the above, should they also include an invitation letter, bank statements, etc just like the first time? How long is the wait through dropbox?

Religion / Re: Is It Right/ Wrong To Drink Water While Fasting? by EyeKandy(f): 4:37pm On Jan 10, 2016
Pretty002

Depends on the type of fast. Is this a 21-day Daniel fast or Church ordered fast? Before stating my opinion, let's read Isaiah 58:6 - "Is this not the fast which I choose, To loosen the bonds of wickedness, To undo the bands of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free And break every yoke? "Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh?…" Hide yourself from your own flesh means confession of sins, renewing of the mind, deliverance.

To answer your question:

Colossians 2:21: "If you have died with Christ..., why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, "Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!" ...-- in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men?"

Press towards intimacy with God and ask the Holy Spirit to direct you before you start.
3 days DRY fasting -- No food/water midnight to midnight.
7 days partial fast - 3 days dry/4 days with water (I've also done 7 days -midnight to 6 - with food/water)
21 days Daniel fast (Only veggies/fruits/water)
For fasts above 7 days, I drink water during the day cos I'm always hydrated especially for Church's new year fast.

Remember, its what you do during the fast not food avoidance only. --encourage someone, give alms, bring your fleshly desires in subjection, pray fervently and study the word of God.

First off, I'm not upset, but need to shut you up.
Secondly, you don't know my marital status.
Lastly, considering your half-baked education or lack thereof, marrying you gives at least a 50% chance of having inarticulate, low-thinking and unintelligent children. They say 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree'. grin grin You are bad market!! Causation doesn't imply malediction. Sounds like you've been turned down too many times ... there is hope for your 'type'. Keep trying.... Hahaha.

Ladies: Don't be discouraged with these 'childish post" by selling yourself cheap.
Real/good men exist with all those qualities. As long as you possess similar qualities, you'll find someone that suits you just fine. grin

Can't speak for the Nigerian job market, but I'll tell that in the U.S., Statistics limits you to Analyst roles or rather, analyst job positions are better suited to your skills. The advantage of the MBA is flexibility, higher pay and better prospects of management positions.

You know management calls the shots!!

Let pictures do the talking ... Your first 60 secs allows you to leave an impression before the details on your CV, Resume, etc.
Impression counts, looks should not be ignored.
I worked in Human Resources for a little bit and would admit that its important to seek candidates who fit into the "office culture". It's not as imperative as your capability or qualifications, but simply, 'how well do you blend into the already existing work culture'?
For instance, if you're seeking a customer service job, its important that you show your personality as approachable and competent, yet relaxed - the right clothing is an add-on to project that image.
Ask your top banks why they hire fine babes!! grin grin grin grin ..... Underneath, confidence matters.

Romance / Re: EXPOSED: Reason For Increasing No Of Single Ladies In Nigeria & The Solution by EyeKandy(f): 1:56am On Sep 29, 2015
Interesting discussion.

Humilitypays, you raised salient points, but I think it's heavy on economic factors without paying attention to the root-cause of this issue; meeting the right person for you. Let me tackle this from a grown woman perspective (age 28 and older single professional females).

1. Some women are single because they've wasted their years in long-term relationships that didn't end in marriage. Reasons vary.

2. Delusions of ego-investments. In other words, over-inflated sense of self. grin

3. Most Church-y girls rarely socialize outside their Church circle. They become super-comfortable with already established relationships at Church that it's hard to let go. Always following Pastor everywhere instead of you to mingle right after service. smiley And if you don't find a man that's your type in that environment, finding Mr. Right may be challenging. I believe in placing yourself in the right environment where singles abound. Stop attending Churches with your fathers age mate!! Church is in your heart mehn lol.

4. The good girl effect: Very seldom does anyone get married sitting at home unless through friend or family recommendations. Another mistake is not finding the right circle of friends or acquaintances to hang out with. At this age, most of a lady's friends may be married so if you keep tagging along to ONLY mummy-type environments, you MAY be doing yourself a disservice. Attend their kids birthdays and necessary celebrations, but also network at singles events. If a lady works 9am-4/5 pm, by the time she gets home, she could be exhausted and ready to sleep. Not her fault.

5. Attending weddings and leaving unnoticed.
Why are you sitting comfortably with married women and our kids crying everywhere? Get up, mingle and be noticed.

6. Driving everywhere. Yes, its a hindrance too.

7.The Bible says he who FINDS a wife. Many women run with this waiting to be "found". No effort from their end whatsoever. Judge not cos' it works for some.

8. Spirit husband: if you've never attended a deliverance service, you might not understand. No need to argue. Those who are molested in their sleep know what's up. Solution: Pray serious renunciation prayers for all your past sins and open doors.

9. Packaging: A smile is our best asset. You work in engineering doesn't mean you should downplay your femininity. I sometimes wear hard hats at work, but trust me when I say my hair game is always on point. I don't mean you should spend more money, but try at least.

10. Not defining relationships. She may have been single for 4 years and finally meets a guy she likes. Ask boldly, where is this ship heading? Don't get lost at sea.

11. Too many men bugging her. It may be hard to make the right choice. This really happens ...

In the end, I believe it's about right place, right time and the right mindset. And of course, God makes everything beautiful in his time.

Repost: Regardless of your baggage; polygamous homes, broken homes, kids out of wedlock, abortions, age, illiteracy, financial hardship, whatever...there's always someone who accepts you just as you are. Don't lose your identity.

I tell peeps, trust only evidence. You will be shocked how many men fathered another mans kid unknowingly.

That's not the issue. FFK is being spiteful here. Why did he raise the issue of paternity tests right before her traditional marriage? For his in-laws to ignore him, shows how mature they are. They could care less and have accepted the new wifey with her baggage. I can imagine the heartbreak his daughters felt on hearing that.

Lesson: Regardless of your baggage; polygamous homes, broken homes, kids out of wedlock, abortions, illiteracy, financial hardship, whatever...there's always someone who accepts you just as you are. Especially in sad situations like this.

And the purpose of this thread is? ... to share gists, tales by moonlight or because one woman's actions represents you? Who cares what another woman does in her marriage?

I watched a naija man beat his friend at a Wal-Mart parking lot many years ago. Before I even dialed 911, it was too late because on-lookers were surpringly faster than I was. How does it represent any percentage of Nigerian men abroad?

Don't judge anyone unless you a share a bed with them.

C'mon, some comments are unnecessary. Until you've bagged degrees, hustled for employment and own your own business, you're not in a position to ridicule anyone. Do you know if he's been actively seeking employment? I don't care if you work at Shell, you could be ax-ed tomorrow and it ain't yours.

That being said, OP, you should have made her understand that your parents are conservative. Hence, a lot of outside hookup. Its your responsibility to let your parents know you love this girl and you're hurt by the way she was disrespected (unless she was in a school uniform grin ) You're at fault for keeping a secret relationship at 28!!

Your friend is actually suffering from low self esteem.

This summarizes it. I already know that but i'm not sure how to inteprete her actions given that its a bit too extreme for my liking. She's a very caring person that's always in my house asking about every single detail of my life and cares to know what's up. But, the chronic copy-cat aspect is like identity theft.

lol nice question.before I started selling bales.I have sort for d two before concluding to be buying UK bales only.US bales easily fade and is of low quality. is not fashionist at all.UK bales are d neatest and graded bales.

Thanks. Does it apply to all types of clothes? I was advised to get a warehouse space here in the US to sort out my bales before shipping. Are you saying that its impossible to have a selection of better quality clothes?
Just for reference:
I was thinking of children's clothes (Like the GAP, Guess, Forever 21, etc)
Women (Branded corporate work blouses, shirts, suits and co)
And maybe shoes/sandals or Men's shirts.

What do you think?
Business To Business / Is The Second-hand/used Clothing Business Lucrative As A Distributor? by EyeKandy(f): 7:12pm On Jul 06, 2015
I recently got access to a used clothing wholesaler in the US. I would like to know if this business is still lucrative. Looking on Nairaland, I realized that most bales are from the UK. Does the UK have a better selection of clothes than the US or could it be that US bales are more expensive due to high costs of logistics?

Am I required to set up a distribution store/warehouse in Nigeria or Cotonou to sell to retailers in bales or can I just ship it off from the US to retailers in Nigeria?
I would like to sell top quality children's clothes (Like the Abercrombie&Fitch, GAP, Guess, Forever 21, etc)
Women (Branded corporate work blouses, shirts, suits and co)
And maybe shoes/sandals or Men's shirts.

How do I get started?
Thanks.
