Thanks. I've never had a best friend and I don't do cliques/sister-hood of girlfriends and all that so it's strange. There have been other extreme situations that I can't even mention, but I guess I'll have to "manage" it. |
I'm not sure if she's inspired by me or straight-up competitive? Will you be worried? How do you handle a close friend that copies everything you do. I mean, If i buy a brown bag today, she gets hers as well. I recently went on a vacation with the bf and now, she's talking about going there too. When she wanted to get into the same career field, I was there for her, advised her on schools and everything, but I'm getting uncomfortable. Its so bad that I don't tell her what I plan to do with my hair. I showed her a picture of a hair style I wanted so she quickly went and did hers so I don't tell her nothing no more. I've not braided my hair in years. Now I have box braids on my hair, yesterday she mentioned that "she wouldn't mind braiding hers cos she likes the way it looks" I'm like, chile.....she tried it again! ![]() Am I being petty? |
The rude and insensitive comments here is very annoying. If you have nothing nice to say, stay away, grammar nazi! |
Can we agree that Dede is our saving grace and Oparanozie increased the pace of this match? It could have been worse. Are there no Nigerians in Canada? Boring a$$ place ... una no dey comot?? <<Kidding>> |
mmmmmm .... No bueno! ![]() |
Seems like Precious Dede doesn't feel secure so she hops around 'the box' to make saves. My observation though. |
Those of us watching in the U.S., Did you watch the pre-game analysis? Some guy was complaining about how Nigeria lacks skilled players because of our anti-lesbian laws. We pretty much kicked out lesbians from the team. Not sure how true that is. I love Oshoala and I mean it!! |
Precious Dede is skilled though!! Much love (no homz) ![]() |
kpolli:If you don't, you'd be tagged as unromantic. Step your game up and listen. ![]() |
The hopeless comments ruined this thread. Made me waste my time reading over 3 pages of BS!! These are people that sleep on NL all these years. Grow up, get a life or get busy. OP: since you already proposed informally, I won't advise you to go "all out". A nice fancy dinner should be fine. Hint a server/bartender of your plans and make them take pictures. If you can afford a vacation, that would be perfect. If she loves to show off, invite your friends and hers over to her house. It's easier to execute if her family is aware so they could join in the "surprise planning" with light food and drinks. And everyone would go awwww Seems like she wants the "surprise". Good luck!!! |
Damn!! This thread is filled with irritating comments. Can you imagine a grown ass woman asking, "what if your husband didn't allow you to write the exam?" What?? I need permission to write a professional exam to enhance my career?? Tell me what this is if not stup!dity garnished with low self esteem. I now understand that most Nigerian women get "degreed", not educated for bragging rights and then turn into dummies. Unless you're married to an uneducated chauvinistic man, academic advancement should be a plus. Madam, forget your MIL for now and deal with the "bruised-head situation". You mean someone smashed your head just because of a wallet and you let it go so easy, but have the energy to worry about your MIL who can clearly do without you. jajajaja I laugh in Spanish. I don't care if you sold the wallet, he has NO RIGHT TO LAY HANDS ON YOU! Period!OP sounds like a go-getter. Don't let nothing slow down your hustle!! |
My mum got her visa this morning!!!!!! |
kalufelix:No sir. You actually missed the point. First, you don't know my marital status so it makes no sense for me to put married women "below par". I'm not and never will be, not even after 10 kids. The village-mindset applies to both married and unmarried women that fits the description in my previous post. |
By their fruits, you shall know them.SMH! Village-minded women are easy to identify!!! Get a life, pick a hustle, bag major credentials, pay your bills and sweat it out. This topic never gets old with Naija women. Respect equals good attitude and/or success. |
LadyGuinivere:^^ is the "kukere leg" your game plan? I'd like to know. ... It's almost impossible for Nigerians to enter through dubious means. Unless, you sneak in through the border. Thanks though. I've been reading backwards. |
worry357:Kindly un-quote me though I think it's open information just like student visas. |
@kpolli: Your "expertise" is needed here. ![]() |
I need advice. I'm inviting my mum on a B2 visa to attend a graduation ceremony. All her kids school and work in the U.S. Some of us have not visited Nigeria in donkey years, but my dad visits 2-3 times a year. Could this be an issue? What can she possibly use to "claim ties" to Nigeria? For a graduation ceremony, is 3 weeks seemingly an overstay? |
Wrong section- This should be posted in the fashion section. Anyways, don't apply anything to it yet. As someone mentioned, cover it under a plaster till a scab forms then you can apply topical creams. In a few years, it should be almost non-visible. Sorry for the accident. |
Lolz. Whoever chose this ratchet name for their child star. SMH. ![]() |
kpolli:Hahaha!! God will help you. ![]() |
There are lot of them in the US that show up at the yearly Zumunta Association parties. We organize our parties in different states so we get an opportunity to mingle if you want to. ![]() |
Atigba:Grow up!! This BS propaganda is ridiculous! |
Interesting! I watched her recent interview on youtube. I like her, but she doesn't have the right political clout to carve out a niche for herself. As a political freshman, trusting her capabilities as President (and her independent party) is a long scary shot that has nothing to do with being a woman. Though I'm for #GirlPower too. |
Hello everyone. Is the consensus here that "Interview in Progress" is not-so-good? I applied for (2) 2015 positions within the US and only interviewed for one via webcam. It's crazy how the other position says the same thing when I've not been contacted. I applied Sept 28 and received the e-mail for a video chat on Nov. 18. Still awaiting a response for the next step though both applications are under review. |
You should know better. This lady may have been covenanted to certain demonic altars that have no business with your life in Christ. I'm all about second chances, but man, spiritual matters shouldn't be joked with. It takes a lot to separate her from her family, that is, if you're ready for battle. My uncle's ex-wife was saying the same thing for my uncle to marry her back in 2006. We were shocked that the lady wasn't even baptized at the time of the wedding when she was claiming catholic. Everyday drama .... Not worth it abeg. |
With the negative comments you receive on that blog, you remain very confident. Nice pictures. |
How many men/women's souls do you have inside of you? Every person you sleep with leaves a part of themselves inside of you. Sexually transmitted demons are not something to play with and are harder to get rid of than diseases!!!! Soul ties are more powerful than you think. The right mate for you will PRAY on your soul not PREY on it. Women, God made us to be protected by our husband's and sex makes you feel married, even though you aren't. Sex is a spiritual bond because of the connection made during love making. Do you ever wonder what your soul looks like to GOD? Sex does more to the body than the eyes can see. Be careful who and what you allow your soul to tie to!!! We're all sinners. God help us. From Facebook.

This is my problem with some people. For the fact that people spread the word on her being missing, there should be a statement put out concerning whatever happened to her. It was all over my FB wall. Nigerians in Houston even gathered at a prayer vigil on her behalf. Stuff like that shouldn't be taken for granted. |
