When buhari was sworn in, many thought it was the south east that would suffer for it. Many tribes, especially our own brothers in the south west were already laughing in advance of the fate that will befell the south east under buhari's govt. But instead, the south east has become the safest region and the least affected by buhari's maladministration. First, since the invasion by fulani herdsmen under buhari, the south east has been the least affected and ajudged the safest place in nigeria. https://www.nairaland.com/3103778/south-east-safest-region-nigeria Secondly, nigeria under Buhari had dropped abysmally on the fight against corruption on the global index. The breakdown of the corruption index across the six geopolitical zones showed that the south east is the least on the index across the nation. https://www.nairaland.com/3995818/south-east-lowest-bribery-prevalence Thirdly, recession which is the main product of this buhari govt has ravaged the nation under his watch. Statistics again showed that the south east region was the least hit by buhari's recession. |
Am just thinking of the group i can put together so that we can go and con that fool in aso rock of our own share of the money. Since Martin Luther King 'family' has come, am thinking of organizing a few friends as Malcolm X family. What the heck, i will come as Tupac Shakur and friends to endorse him as an icon of the West side, afterall,am not sure he and his cabinet knows that Tupac is dead yet and ofcourse wont bother researching |
oluwaseunla:I had cause to travel with d car,a mechanic drove though. At most part of the trip, it wont accelerate even when being fired. Instead of speeding, it would be jerking when fired. He said it is the airflow metre. The throttle is often stiff especially at the first time for the day. |
Often times we read people's write ups on what they project to be the greatest fraud in the history of Nigeria. Their opinions has been as varied as their faces. Personally, i think the biggest scam in the history of Nigeria just took place under our very nose. And no, its not a bank related fraud, its not some yahoo boys defrauding some unsuspecting victims. Its far worse. This scam didnt involve scamming some business man or an oyibo chic, this one involved scamming a whole president, not an ex president, but a sitting president, right inside Aso rock presidential villa! How else can one fanthom this? A group of hustlers, either from the US or just some guys with phoney American accents through the Special Adviser on Diaspora matters, Abike Dabiri, who we believe is the go-between after rehearsing their script and their roles in the act arrived Nigeria and through their accomplices made their way through the security system of the villa to meet with none other than President Muhammad Buhari and his retinue of aides and cheer leaders. Among the actors and actresses was one acting as the wife of Late Martin Luther King, Correta Scot King! Others posed as family members of the late American human rights activist. The mission: To present a fake award to our president who never 'knows' anything. And ofcourse, as expected, this wont be done without some foreign currency leaving our nation's coffers to support their foundation and mission. And this is usually no small money. And this they carried out successfully and left without any one suspecting. How can they suspect, when everyone present were busy falling over themselves to be the first to snap and upload on various social media platforms as another achievement. Their euphoria is quite understandable, seeing that this administration is in dire need of an achievement to showcase. But what seems to have kept the whole nation and the international community baffled is the fact that the woman who gave the award to Buhari in March 2018, died on January 30th, 2009 with her burial celebrated across the globe. And yet not one single person within the presidency deciphered that. They too 'didn't know'. In my village, we have a proverb that it is the relatives of the mad man in the market place that are ever ashamed, and not the mad man himself. Please, anybody close to this 'i dont know ' president, his retinue of useless aides and the failed APC should please beg them to quit embarrassing us and stop tarnishing what is left of our already battered image. Buhari and his government keeps making us a laughing stock in the comity of nations. As for those actors that masterminded that 'heist', they should not feel too proud of themselves. They shouldn't feel too smart. Afterall, their 'maga' was just Buhari. Any person could outsmart him. Afterall, he never 'knows anything'. |
I will like to see what Yahaya bello will say now as his master has taken a contrary view to the one he was boasting with |
David McKenzie and Brent Swails, CNN Updated 1224 GMT (2024 HKT) March 26, 2018 Bill Gates Nigeria exclusive_00002818 Play Video Bill Gates tells Nigerian leaders to 'face facts' 02:39 Story highlights Bill Gates implores Nigerian politicians to focus on human capital and its large youth population. (CNN)Bill Gates traveled to Nigeria to publicly give its leaders some tough talk. It was a highly unusual move but the tech billionaire believes the country is facing a critical moment. "While it may be easier to be polite, it's more important to face facts so that you can make progress," the philanthropist told a room of Nigeria's government elite that included the president. In an exclusive television interview with CNN, Gates said he wanted to speak out to implore Nigerian politicians to focus on human capital and its large youth population. UN: Half of world's population growth is likely to occur in Africa UN: Half of world's population growth is likely to occur in Africa "The current quality and quantity of investment in this young generation in health and education just isn't good enough. So I was very direct." The tech billionaire and founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation feels that he has earned the right to speak. Gates says he has traveled to Nigeria for more than a decade and the foundation is spending $1.6 billion on programs here -- most of it his own money. Their primary focus is health and their work has been incredibly successful in mitigating the threat of polio, particularly in the crisis hit northeast of the country. Gates feels, along with many others, that it is time for Nigeria's government to do better. The continent's largest economy is moving out of a recession caused by a tanking oil price and moving towards a closely watched presidential election in 2019. In many ways, the country is transforming, with gleaming hotel towers on Lagos Island competing for real estate and the wealthy fighting in the notorious traffic in ubiquitous black SUVs. But dig a little bit deeper and the statistics are alarming. As Gates points out, Nigeria is still one of the most dangerous places to give birth and the country's very young face chronic malnutrition. Lassa fever death rates in Nigeria higher than expected Lassa fever death rates in Nigeria higher than expected University of Washington modeling, commissioned by Gates, estimates that if investment isn't increased in health and education, then the per-capita GDP, rising steadily for decades, will flatline. Gates says he wanted to spark action and debate and he certainly has. Predictably, some see the tough talk as a rebuke of Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria's president, who has been struggling to get the economy on its feet and stamp out the persistent threat of Islamist group Boko Haram in the northeast. On the street, many just want support from their government -- whoever is in charge -- because right now there often isn't much. "These people are just trying to survive, they aren't being helped," said banker Moses Uchendu, while grabbing lunch at the popular Obalende market in Lagos. It's a bustling market where vendors sell delicacies such as efo riro, a spicy Yoruba stew. Power outages are frequent and the only contact with officials is when they visit for bribes, say residents and traders. Nigeria is routinely rated as one of the most corrupt nations on the globe. Although the country recently moved up 14 places on the World Bank's ease of doing business ranking, most of its businesses remain in the informal sector where there is little help and loans are hard to come by. Few businesses pay their taxes and all these factors have hindered Nigeria from meeting its true potential, says Gates. Uchendu hopes Nigerians are listening. "I told my friends... that Bill Gates is saying the truth. It is better we are told the truth about Nigeria's economy. It is better we say the truth." But Gate's message isn't a new one. Activists say they have been making frequent calls to invest in people, and end rampant corruption, all which have been ignored. "These are not new topics. These are the issues that we have been discussing with the government. We have been engaging with them for so many years now," says Timothy Adewale, a human rights lawyer with one of Nigeria's largest NGOs. "Nobody will listen. You know, actually, if they are sincere about the best interest of the people, they should listen. It has always been said that the greatest test of your commitment is your actions." But Gates believes, together with Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest man and a close partner of the Gates Foundation, that if the Nigerian government does a few things differently, then the country is poised for lift off. "I really think that of all the countries I have seen, it really hangs in the balance. If they can get health and education right, they can be an engine of growth, not just for themselves but for all of Africa," said Gates. https://edition.cnn.com/2018/03/26/africa/bill-gates-nigeria-buhari-intl/index.html |
Fulanis are like wild animals you jam in the forest. They dont hear peace. They only respond to offensive attack. I remember when they attacked the village in Enugu and massacred innocent, unarmed and unsuspecting natives, they were meant to head to the next village which i wont mention but the youths armed themselves and from a distance called on the herdsmen to come and fight. The killer herdsmen beat a retreat. Why? Because harmless and unsuspecting citizens are what they prey on. |
Because majority of our Christians today, even those at the pulpit will at the hands of islamic terrorists in any unknown enclave, at the risk of death deny their faith |
Reno did not say anything wrong here |
The person who wrote this is actually smarter than that. |
Why do i feel that this Sahara guy's stock in trade is blackmail. He gets some exclusive and sensitive privileged info about a high powered nigerian and trades it in for cash. Your failure to meet his demands will see it being posted as news |
ukejejohnson:Son, let me bring you to speed on what you didnt know. Before May 2015, the practice was for an appointed minister to resume with his aides whom he will submit their names to his supervised ministry as his consultants and aides and the ministry will add their names and these aides will start getting their salaries and emoluments whenever salaries are paid in the ministry. But under Buhari, the ministers changed the order and requested that the aides allowances and salaries be paid into their (the minister) account, that since the aides are their personal staff, they will pay them instead. Since then till date, many of these ministers receive salaries for their aides from the ministry and divert it. Most of the aides have turned beggers at the offices of their ogas. Some have even gone to court against their principal. Do you see the level of corruption, even at the doorstep of the president 's cabinet |
There are two major features of all APC appointees and leaders: Greed of the highest proportion and Cluelessness. Atleast, under PDP, you wont hear of principals stealing their aides emoluments but its a common place now to hear that a minister received the salaries of his aides and diverted it |
oluwaseunla:So getting it cleaned or changed can also put an end to the non response to the firing of the throttle? |
oluwaseunla:Sometimes What could it mean |
Most times these girls have low self esteem. They feel nobody else will want them so they hang on with the one that showed them some semblance of love. Greed is usually another factor. They are ready to endure all physical abuse as long as the guy can show them the good life. She doesnt want to go back to her parents who are probably wretched somewhere, so she prefers the slay queen life in the house of her slayer |
oluwaseunla:Yes. The check engine light is on. Nissan frontier 2003 |
Car wont accelerate when being throttled. After some seconds of being throttled, it will just speed up. Car was parked for a long time though. What could be wrong |
That was when even during the wedding, both the man and woman will keep their hands to themselves. Unlike today where even at the prewedding photo shoot, they are already pressing boobs and backing the ass up etc |
All these girls that are looking for husband today tomorrow... ...they are the same ladies that make a man later regret ever marrying them. |
Please let it be known that this man is speaking for himself and his household. Kindly disregard. |
36? Even a contestant for course rep can garner more than 36 votes, talkless of a school's departmental president. |
Despite the fact that all the result from all the polling units shows that Chief Willie Obiano of APGA won convincingly, It further revealed that Tony Nwoye of the APC did not win any ward out of the 326 wards in the state, yet the Independent National Electoral Commission in conjunction with the Nigerian Police has commenced plans to falsify the records using the cover of this night to hurriedly declare Tony Nwoye the winner by morning. This is the shame we have been reduced to under this present Inec since Buhari and APC mounted the saddle of leadership. Very sad and regrettable that such can be fathomed at this day and age. |
Yahaya Bello of kogi in conjunction with the DIG of Police are pushing to push in some stuffed ballot papers thru some border towns with anambra |
It gives me joy to announce that Chris Ngige lost to Apga in his ward |
Igbo haters that want the APC evil to hit south east like it's hitting them in kogi, Benue, osun, katsina etc will sit in their homes and brandish online support for Tony Nwoye and APC, giving him false hope. APC is seriously rigging but they won't muster enough to beat APGA. We have it on authority that a white hiace bus purportedly belonging to INEC has left Imo state govt house with fully cast ballot papers headed to anambra in the morning. |
...and Buhari said he chose his cabinet members based on competence. If these are the test of the best hands Buhari can muster, then it's clear that he was and is indeed a failure |
Typical of an APC propagandist reportage. Always full of bare faced lies and stupidity that makes one believe that this people actually think we are that stupid. Look at what some one conjourd with his depraved mind. Chai |
How impactful it would be if APC is resoundly beaten on Saturday at the polls a few days after all these August visitors. Oh! What a wonderful day it would be in anambra and what a clear message it will send to APC |
This is a guy that almost all past anambra state governors give pocket money regularly for his late dad's sake so that he can feed. No singular electoral worth. I heard he's been promised ministerial appointment by Arthur eze to Buhari, that will be good so that he can earn a living for once in his life |
Mugabe should step down and come to Imo to collect his own statue from Rochas |
