A former staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Christian Nwosu. accused of taking a N30million bribe from former petroleum minister, Alison Madueke-Diezani,

by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has said he was coerced to make the statement.



According to Sahara Reporters, Nwosu said he was threatened by EFCC boss to lie that he received N30million from the ex-minister who is currently facing several charges of fraud both in Nigeria and UK. Nwosu previously told a Lagos Federal High Court that he collected the sum of N30 million bribe from Dieziani Alison-Madueke, the former petroleum minister.

He said: “On the 28 of December, I was invited to EFCC, interviewed by one Mr. Moses and I made statements. He was about to let me go but he said his boss will want to see me. When Mr. Zakari came and read my statement, he said no, I have not written what he wants to hear and that he has signed my detention order form and was going to detain me and that even if I bring 10 lawyers, they won’t help me except I write what he dictate to me, he was going to keep me

. “He told me that Adedoyin had admitted collecting N28million and was released; that being a senior officer, there was no way I wouldn’t have not have benefitted by collecting up to N30million (sic). He said unless I stated that I benefitted N30million, he would dump me in the cell. I quickly told him I benefitted. He dictated to me that I should write it; I did. “I knelt before Rotimi and he said: ‘Baba get up; I’ll only advice you to cooperates with us. He said he would not want me to go through the stress of litigation. He asked if I had landed property and cars. He said I should write out the property worth N30million that I had. He said he would ensure that I was convicted and jailed at all cost if I didn’t cooperate.”

They are not aware that all the civil servants recruited in the last two years under GEJ by merit had their employment revoked with the promise that a fresh recruitment exercise will be conducted. Till date, nothing has been done as they have secretly filled the whole appointment with their people. The aviation sector is the worst hit where Buhari's nephew is the current minister of aviation

Buhari is not fit to be the leader of any modern nation. It's sad and disgusting that people betrayed their education by voting an unapologetic tribal bigot

Every body knows Buhari has failed woefully in every facet, but shame won't let many admit it so they label you Ipob or wailers when you speak the truth, just to drown their shame.

In the last two years,we have watched the Naira fall down to N400 to the dollar from N202. We have watched inflation return to double digits. We have watched our economy shrink from 3rd fastest growing economy in the world to outside first 25 in Africa! We have seen over 4.5million jobs lost in less than two years. We have seen companies fold up while others took their businesses to other countries of the world.

My question is this: As a CEO of your company, your business activities has been seriously decimated by this government policies and you decide to right size your staff strength. Now if you want to lay off some staff, wouldn't it be advisable to start with those who clamoured for and voted Buhari at the election?

Unapologetically, I believe they should enjoy the 'dividends' of their change. No innocent person should suffer for their action.

Am going to answer in the most objective manner.
Igbos are marginalized by govt in that the fed govt deploys our common resources to other beloved regions while the south east does theirs by themselves.
For eg, in my village in the south east,we had electricity around 1998. We raised money overtime to buy our transormers after which pledges and donations were raised to run electric cables across the kindreds.
Its too numerous and scattered across the south east.
You have wealthy individuals or groups contracting civil engineering firms to tar their own roads.
You are aware of imo airport. Do you know that the late governor Sam Mbakwe of Imo opened a purse where he was constantly calling on natives to donate as "no amount was too small for the imo airport". School kids donated their lunch monies. But this is not so with most other airports in the north or west where the govts funded the projects wholly.

Its a typical benue/kogi name. Though some people in enugu state who boarder benue state around nsukka axis bear similar names. Most of the names most of you on NL brand igbos are mostly from that benue/kogi axis. They share same ancestory anyway with many villages in nsukka axis of enugu
