Politics › Re: Bishop Isong Dares Buhari To Publicly Promise Not To Islamise Nigeria by ezelous: 12:20pm On Dec 25, 2014 |
babadee1: If Buhari really wanted to Islamize Nigeria he would have done it a long time ago as military head of state, not now under the democratic era. How exactly would that work? Will he send a bill to the National Assembly to vote on that Ngeria should be under sharia law? And after that will two-thirds of all the state houses of assembly in the country ratify that vote? People need to think these things through before they talk. This so called bishop is just another rabble rouser. Good point, but you must note that there are other vicious ways to achieve this: veto. Xtians should just be wary and very cautious. |

NifemiOlu: Most or some? Those who can't teach effectively are those failures and dropouts of other faculties who have been dumped into education faculties in various universities. Those who actually applied for education courses and got the right training, you can't stand them. Another problem is during admission, most schools move students to education faculty...that is why we have terrible teachers all over the place. that i can't stand them is just an understatement |
Education › Re: The Pitiable Life Of A Nigerian Teacher. The Way Forward?? by ezelous: 7:47pm On Dec 22, 2014 |
The bitter and unknown truth is that most graduates of educational courses cannot impact like their non-educational counterparts. I am a living testimony. God will surely punish those who take up the job just to pass time. |
Education › The Recurrent Mass Failures In WACE/GCE by ezelous(op): 8:43am On Dec 22, 2014 |
Ezelous N Kewulezi Hmmm...hmmm...it has happened again, getting worse and worse.Where do we go from here? Anticipating another massive failure in quick succession? That over 70% failed in the GCE is enough to go hunger strike. Poor educational foundation remains a great factor responsible for this. I can't but bow my head in shame being a tutor even though my legacy remains enviable. This is why I so much respect and cherish the American style of grade demarcation. Unlike here where A1 is equal to 75-100,it is 90-100 in the U.S. That marks a huge difference! A child struggles hard to obtain an A, making him formidable and a threat to failure. If only we can raise the equivalent of A1 to 90 and make our students strive to be the best, these recurrent failures will surely end. |
