Pardon me everyone (Nairalanders) in the house.
To GOD be the Glory, I had my daughter safely in ElPaso Texas, It was fun, because I had it naturally after CS in my first pregnancy. My doctor in Naija told me is not possible, but lo and behold GOD made it possible in Elpaso. My daughter US passport & birth certificate was delivered to my apartment this week.
I love you all

The BA website is rejecting my child as infant on the inbound flight.. since my child is 1yr & 10months on the outbound, but above 2yrs on the inbound. thats why i want to use agent website..

Virtuousdiva:
Ezemistic....not to sound biased but I don't know about United airlines being better than BA.So far as you are going to El Paso,It will be fine if you use BA.We are many using BA going to EL Paso. Some with Dallas As POE while some Chicago. The best thing also will be to book BA through their website directly if you make up your mind on BA.

. I would advise you use BA. And check that the POE is not houston

Finally our Visa was approved today, with no question. I received a mail yesterday by 4pm to come to Embassy any Tuesday or Thursday of the week by 1:30pm. We got there, with no further question, the Lady (VO) collected our Passport & Application, and said your Visas are approved.

A big thank you to Almighty GOD, who gave Nairalanders the grace to pour out enormous knowledge on the procedure for child birth in US. GOD bless you all... U all are my great friend & family... I love u All.

Me, my wife and daughter did our visa interview today, at the end of the interview, the consular officer collected my bank statement and told us we will be contacted. He didn't ask much question.

VO: good morning
Us: good morning
VO: you were denied visa in April 2014.
Me: yes (in April 2014, our purpose of visit was same as today, but we didn't have doctor correspondence)
VO: what's your purpose of visit this time.
Me: vacation and childbirth
VO: childbirth is for your wife and not you, right
Me: yes ( with a smile)
VO: do you have doctor correspondence?
Me: yes ( I gave him email correspondence with hospital, letter of medical responsibility and 2-receipts from hospital & Ob/Gyn Doctor of 50% down payment for Hospital and for Physician bills).
VO: he read them
VO: your account statement pls ?
Me: I gave him
VO: (he left his seat with the account statement, spend about 3-mins and came back, and started typing for about 1-min)
VO: we will contact you later, don't pay any money, don't reapply.. We will contact you after further administrative processes t(he took only my bank statement and return other document to me) he also issue us a paper (221g) and mark the part that concern us,

The part marked says ," additional administrative processing is required. No further action on your part necessary. Consular section will contact you when the case is ready"

1) do anyone knows how long the administrative process will take?
2) Do anyone know if they will consider our dec 9th departure date to US, and our doctor appointment date dec 11th?

My account statement in my previous interview was low, due to dubai trip with my family. But in this interview as a permanent staff of multinational firm, I used my current acct statement so as to show source of my monthly income, I was able to maintain btw 2.7 to 5.2 for the 4-months statement.. The last balance on the acct statement was 5.1

Hello Ezemistic,
There's nothing to worry about Sir. We've had cases like that here b4. You will most likely get your visas, its just the time that may now be an issue because you can't speed up the process except by prayers. Administrative processing means they want to go through your application in detail. They will verify all your info, appointments, payments etc. Your bank statement is very sound for the amount you mentioned. If the VO wanted to refuse/deny your visas he would have done so immediately.

Unfortunately, they wouldn't be so concerned about your travel date per se. Hope you haven't bought your tickets yet o.

Don't worry sha, all will be well. If you commit everything into God's hands, you'd be told to come and pick up your passports and your visas issued in good time. I believe in miracles because I've experienced them severally in my life. God will turn their hearts/heads in your favour. It will end in praise ok? Don't forget to let us know when you get your visas so we can rejoice with you. All the best, safe delivery for your wife and journey mercies too.
Cheers
Thanks, this help...we shall put it in prayers....I was about booking for the flight, but gat to holdon.. THANKS

abujaniv: Thanks for your question. You are welcome to reapply for a visa at any time. Every case is different, however, if you choose to reapply, it is important to be as honest as possible with the consular officer during your interview. If you have been denied a U.S. visa before, then the answer to question 1 is "yes." Also, we do not advise on what kinds of bank statements to use, again, we just encourage you to be as honest and forthcoming as possible during the interview. Finally, we do not recommend applicants make partial payments, or buy flights, etc. before the visa interview. There is no guarantee that you will get the visa, and paying for expenses ahead of time may cause you significant financial loss if the visa is not granted. The requirements for medical visas are listed on our website here:
http://photos.state.gov/libraries/nigeria/487468/pdfs/MedicalVisaInformation.pdf
Thanks for your reply. pls i still need answer for my 2nd question.
(2) If the answer to question 1 is YES? Then what will i fill in that part of DS-160 form that says " have you been denied US Visa before "?

Hello VO,
Pls I need your help, I applied for US Visa in April 2014 at Abuja embassy for me and my family (me , my wife & 1yr old daughter), but we were denied the VISA, for an unknown reason. Although I discovered that my account statement was not regular (fluctuates btw N6M to N0 to N1.5M) within the 6-months, although my total expenditure within that 6-months was upto N25M. As a worker in an oil firm i was too confident that it is ok. Another thing i noticed, is that I applied for B1/B2 whereas I told them, we may give birth to our next baby in US. Thirdly the lady requested for account statement but i gave her my pay slip before giving her my account statement, which i felt was wrong.

My question are these;

(1) Can I apply for US Visa in Oct/November 2014?

(2) If the answer to question 1 is YES? Then what will i fill in that part of DS-160 form that says " have you been denied US Visa "?

3) my wife is near her DD (Jan 2015), and by October, my stable account statement will only be 4-months, can i use a 4-months account statement for US Visa interview?

(4) I have made part payment (35% refundable deposit) to the hospital in US and 1-week payment for accommodation (although we proposed 90-days) and I hope to pay for TO & FRO flight (with refundable policy) by next week. Are these measures good steps to take?

THANKS, i hope you find time to answer my questions.
