Guestlander:What hatred or violence has any Igbo ever committed against the Yoruba or Hausa? The Igbos are peace loving and only care about business. Who attacked you in Ife? Was it Igbo? Was it Igbo herdsmen committing all types of atrocities? But we are still hated. Now leave us alone. |
gartamanta:Misery loves company. If one person suffers, they want everyone to suffer. |
All these posts and no one can counter Nnamdi Kanu's narrative. The simple reason is that you can't. |
freshest4live:There are many reasons why Nigeria has failed but it can't be blamed on the Igbos. Is it not Igbos who suffer because of the ridiculous quota system? In Biafra, Igbos will not have to worry about quota. It will be based on merit. |
modik:Should I just say Anioma then? Will that make you happy? |
Guestlander:No one is taking Kanu seriously? That is funny. His name is coming out of everyone's mouth. Northern youth seem to be taking him seriously. All these phantom groups that are coming out against him seem to be taking him seriously. The Lagos press and their daily stories seem to be taking him seriously |
GavelSlam:This thread said Igbo. It did not say Yoruba or Itsekiri or whatever you call yourself. Stop worrying about the affairs of other and focus on Warri |
Ishilove:There is no such thing as SS. I am Aro Igbo and Ibibio who was born and raised in Port Harcourt. What are you? |
labonita1:Then try to counter Kanu's argument. Can you give us an alternative instead of the status quo? |
oyb:oyb you have a good memory. Chinyenye and Abagworo had issues with the Aro. I had to defend the dignity of Arochuku. And this rivalry is older than the creation of Nigeria. |
GavelSlam:Who cares Yoruba? Now leave us alone and face North that insults you daily. |
labonita1:Are you from the East? Were you raised in East? Many of us trust Biafra more than we ever will trust Nigeria. |
Guestlander:You cannot use that argument with me. I have been on Nairaland for a long time, and I have been posting about Biafra prior to Radio Biafra. Biafra has never left Igboland and has come in many forms. Have you forgot about MASSOB? You people have such short memories. You don't realize Buhari made the problem worse. |
GavelSlam:I never said Delta was entirely Igbo. But we do have Delta Igbos who are Igbo. And Asaba is an Igbo town. Do you think Igbos were afraid to cross the River Niger? |
labonita1:Nnamdi Kanu came from the U.K. and spent almost 2 years in prison. His father and mother still live in Nigeria. The man has a firm belief in Biafra and many of his supporters also believe in it. Am sick and tired of Nigeria as well. A country that mistreats my people when we don't harm anyone. We only focus on business but are still hated. My people just want to be left alone and govern our own affairs. A referendum is what we are calling for, because this 50 years of going no where needs to end. |
Ishilove:Those of us who were raised in the East can discuss such issue than those who were raised outside the East. I am sure you are writing this from Lagos or Abuja. We from the East will decide our own matters. |
This Zikist movement only exists online. IPOB is both online and they are present in every town and village in the East. |
I don't even believe in the states that were created to balkanize Igboland. What is Abia or Anambra or Delta or Rivers or Ebonyi or Enugu? I am Aro Igbo whose villages are found throughout Igboland from Abia to Imo to Anambra. |
Ishilove:Actually some of us are... |
labonita1:Nnamdi Kanu is offering a different alternative than the status quo. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Some of us prefer something different than 50 years of going no where. |
kitaatita:All these states hate Nigeria as well. Only a Yoruba would think people East of River Niger are happy. No one is smiling in the East. |
whitebeard:I can see Nigeria clearly and it is a failed state. No jobs, no electricity, bad roads, corrupt leaders, unrest everywhere. Can you see? |
Is Nigeria not a failed state? I have not seen anyone who can counter Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB's narrative about Nigeria. All I hear is people calling Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB names, and people threatening fire and brimstone to his supporters. Nigeria is still a failed state that cannot protect its citizens and can't provide the most basic of needs. |
Now more people will realize that IPOB is doing the right thing. The entire system is rotten, so why expect Biafrans to participate in such a rotten system? |
So these "Elders" want to go back to the old Eastern region, but not Biafra? ![]() |
I am sorry if Nnamdi Kanu is making you feel uncomfortable, but Nigeria has been uncomfortable for Igbos for a long time. If you treated the Igbos with respect like you were supposed to and treated us fairly, we would not had to go this far. We do not harm anyone, Igbos simply worry about their business, but your jealousy and hatred is still aimed at us. |
Nigeria's argument is already a losing argument. Nigeria was not created by God. It was first created by Europeans in Berlin and finalized by a British imperialist. |
Nnamdi Kanu may not be a messiah but he is definitely a leader who is speaking truth to power. And that is why the elite are worried about his rise. Until now, when have you heard Nigerian leaders seriously discuss restructuring and Biafra? That is all thanks to Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB. |
I want to hear from the Rivers youth, not these elders. It will be the youth who will have to live with the consequences of the actions of their elders. |
We know these politically correct Igbos mainly from Lagos who ridicule their own or call them Igbotic just to impress their Yoruba friends. They are on Facebook and ridicule Igbos for likes or they are on Twitter and they do it for retweets. They are efulefu. |
It is the Igbos from Lagos that are confused. Igbos in the East and outside Nigeria are not confused. The Igbos of Lagos are afraid of the unknown. They feel Lagos is the standard. Many of them do not travel home for Christmas. They are the ones who look down on the East and believe the stereotypes of the East. And they are the ones who are trying to keep us shackled because of their selfish desire to be in Lagos |
Love him or hate him, this man speak truth to power. That is why so many people are either following him or continue to call him names. Millions of people from the East know they have gotten a rotten deal from Nigeria and Nnamdi Kanu speaks what they all are thinking. The list is endless. Lack of infrastructure in the East, oil wealth used for other states that contribute nothing, millions of our people have to travel outside our region to find work. I should not have to fly into Lagos or Abuja in order to go home to the East. How can Nigerians counter what Nnamdi Kanu is saying? The answer is that you can't and that is why some throw names at him. Nnamdi Kanu is not the disease, he is only a symptom. |
