You are not really that smart, are you (no offence)?? The so called Mid west will join Oduduwa republic, if you are in doubt, ask any true Edo or Uhrobo or Itsekiri man and please, come back to give me the answer. But I must point out, this will only happen if there is NO SOUTHERN NIGERIA. and I am not in support of Niger-delta republic because it will not work hence, my conclusion.
Mehn you are a buffoon. . . And I mean every offense.

You know nothing about the about the Niger Delta and its people and that is why people do not even consider you a native son.

I am tired of you Yorubas claiming to be something that you are not.
PoliticsRe: Design A Flag For Odua by EzeUche2(m): 12:59am On May 05, 2011
You Yorubas are funny. Now that you all are in opposition, you all want your own nation now.

The same garbage has spread to Nigerian Village Square. grin

You guys do not know your country. There are more Ijaws in the West than the East. Most bear Yoruba names now. Why would they want to betray Yorubas or join Biafra when about 60% have more in common with the Yorubas than the Igbo?? I really do not get that part. Okay, say you form your Biafra and somehow Ijaws join. Tell me, how will they get their land in Edo, Ondo, Ogun and Lagos (apparently, they said their land extends there undecided huh) Do you see what I mean?? Or do Igbos and Ijaws want to fight Yorubas and Edos?? It just does not make sense hence, that was why I was advocating for Southern Nigeria. What about ushuh Or do you think any group can just kill off the other without any resistancehuh Most of the Western Ijaws, Itsekiris and definately Edos, possibly Uhrobos will join Oduduwa IF SN is non-achievable. So, even the the owner of sahara reporters is from Apoi-Ijaw in Ondo state and yet he identifies with Yorubas so what giveshuh Guys believe me, SN is the best option if not Delta state is DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO ANY BIAFRA! That is the truth except you want to deceive yourself and you are welcome to do so . . . . . undecided
Garbage post! Yorubas are the main reason why their was a Mid-West region. You do not even know you own village to comment on SS affairs. grin

I honestly don't see what the North has done with this share of the national cake. . . their GDP/capita is half that of the south.
We are talking about in terms of infrastructure. Northern elite, like to see good roads, but do not really care about industry. As long as there are nice infrastructure and expensive mosque, and they have no complains.
PoliticsRe: I stand Corrected. . . by EzeUche2(op): 12:49am On May 05, 2011
The North has a well developed infrastructure, thanks to their corrupt leaders.

But what did Yoruba leaders who had a chance of taking a piece of the national cake do for their region? Nothing. . .

Delta would join the East if the Ijaws of Bayelsa join us, so why get upset?

This is the beauty of SE + SS unity. cool

Where is Delta?  grin

Where is Bayelsa?

Where is parts of Kogi state?

Sorry Becomrich but the Ijaw have joined forces with the Ndigbo. cool

@OP: That remains TBD. Starting to appear that the PDP branch of the SW stands a good chance of retaining at least a few of their own positions. Let's at least wait to see how things shake out. . . nothing tackier than prematurely declaring victory/defeat
Well you do have a point. I am just enjoying myself right now. People shouldn't get too upset. Politics changes rapidly. But one thing that I have noticed is that the Igbos and Yorubas view politics through different lens.
PoliticsRe: ACN Not A Yoruba Party, Says Ngige by EzeUche2(m): 10:08pm On May 04, 2011
Ngige reminds me of the one black guy who works for an all white company.

The company says that they are not an all-white company, because they have that one black man.

As Americans say, Ngige is the token non-Yoruba. grin

Please people, calm down with the anti-SW threads. It isn't good.
IMHO it is ok to be anti-ACN, but definitely not anti-Yoruba.
These tribalist need to be taught a lesson. For far too long, the East, mainly the Ndigbo have been mocked for our support of President Jonathan.

It is time for payback.

I support punishing the SW POLITICALLY.

Politics6 Acn Members Arrested For Alleged Electoral Fraud In C-river by EzeUche2(op): 9:51pm On May 04, 2011
6 ACN Members Arrested for Alleged Electoral Fraud in C-River

BY JOHNBOSCO AGBAKWURU
Six members of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Cross River State, have been reportedly arrested and detained by the state Police Command for alleged electoral offences during the just-concluded general elections.

ACN State Chairman, Mr Cletus Obun, who disclosed this, said the detained party members, were arrested by the police on April 28 and were yet to be arraigned before any court.

According to him, “from April 28 till date, six ACN candidates and members have been hunted and arrested by army and detained at different police cells across the state.”

Obun also alleged that the party’s deputy governorship candidate in the shifted election in the state, Mr. David Okon and Mr. Ekpo Adah, its House of Assembly candidate for Akamkpa state constituency, who were arrested since April 26, were released on bail on May 3.

“The deputy governorship candidate and House of Assembly candidate were released on bail at 8p.m., yesterday,” he said.

Apart from the six party members arrested, the ACN state chairman, added that the police were still hunting for some party members over what he called spurious allegations.

He called on the police and other security agencies to address the situation to avoid anarchy in the area, adding, “the known hospitality of our people is now wantonly abused.”

Obun also called on Governor Liyel Imoke to take full responsibility of the situation as chief security officer of the state to forestall the breakdown of law and order in the area.

“Nigerians and the community are celebrating the fall of the father of modern terrorism, yet Cross Riverians are fed a fresh dose of Gestapo regime. We in ACN call for a stop to this cowardly display of desperation,” he said.

When contacted on the alleged arrest of the ACN members, state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Etim Dickson, denied any knowledge of the arrest, saying that the command was not aware of the arrests.

I thought you people usually say ibos are the ones developing yorubaland after running from the evil spirits in iboland ? huh So how can SE be developed than SW ?
The SE is more developed than the SW. We Igbos have been to the SW, but the same cannot be said of the Yorubas. It is just more economic opportunities in one particular SW state and that is Lagos.
